Intelligence Community Releases Declassified Report on Russia’s Influence of the Election

Late last week, the intelligence community released their report following an investigation into the alleged influence of the 2016 election by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Intelligence agencies. The report is a declassified version of a much more detailed report which concluded that Putin “ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the U.S. presidential election.” It went on to say that Putin’s motives were to “denigrate” Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and that he had “a clear preference for President-elect Trump.” The report details the reasons Putin does not like Clinton and outlines the ways the Russian government influenced the election including the hacking of John Podesta and the DNC, leaks to WikiLeaks, and hacking the RNC. FBI Releases Additional Docs, State Releases Emails

Last week, the FBI and State Department released documents related to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State. The FBI released 299 pages of internal records detailing a fight between the bureau and the State Department over the classification of an email regarding arrests related to the attacks on the US Embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Meanwhile, the State Department released 371 of the 15,000 emails that were turned over to the department by the FBI. The total document dump totaled over 1,000 pages and are “near duplicates” of the documents turned over by Clinton’s team in 2014. The State Department has been reviewing the emails turned over by the FBI since late summer 2016 and has reported that about 60% of the emails were personal in nature and not related to business. Of the emails that relate to Clinton’s time as Secretary of State, the department reports that a “substantial number” of them are duplicates of those that have been previously reviewed. Judge Unseals Hillary Clinton FBI Search Warrant

On Tuesday, a federal judge ordered that the search warrant that many have faulted for Hillary Clinton’s loss be unsealed. The warrant called for the investigation of emails between Clinton and aide Huma Abedin that were found on a laptop belonging to Abedin’s ex-husband, former Congressman Anthony Weiner. The document does not provide in detail what the FBI hoped to find, and the investigation ultimately turned up nothing. The warrant was approved by U.S. Magistrate Judge Kevin Nathaniel Fox.

Many people have criticized the timing of the investigation by the FBI and the manner in which FBI director James Comey handled the investigation. He sent a letter to Congress two weeks before the election saying that the email investigation had been reopened. A few days later they concluded that no new evidence was found, but the damage to Clinton had been done. Despite winning the popular vote, Clinton lost the electoral college and the presidency. Clinton and her former campaign staffers blame Comey and the Russian hacking of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary for America chair John Podesta for their loss.

The total document dump totaled over 1,000 pages and are “near duplicates” of the documents turned over by Clinton’s team in 2014. FBI Director Comey Recommends No New Action Against Clinton

FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to ranking members of Congress on Sunday with the bureau’s conclusions following an investigation into emails found on a computer owned by former Congressman Anthony Weiner. The emails were related to Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State. In his letter, Comey says that the FBI stands by its decision to not bring a case against Clinton and that the new emails yielded no new information. Comes said that “based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton.” Since the FBI announced it was looking into the emails last week, the Clinton campaign has maintained that there was nothing new to be found. News sources indicate that the majority of the emails found on the computer were duplicates of the emails already reviewed by the bureau. State Department Releases New Batch of Clinton’s Emails

Yesterday, the State Department released a new batch of emails from Hillary Clinton’s private server. These emails are part of a group of emails that were recovered by the FBI and turned over to the State Department for review. The release includes 1,280 pages and more are expected to be released on Friday. None of the newly released emails contained classified information and there are several duplicate emails from those already released by the State Department. The emails were released following an agreement between a federal court and the State Department stating that the emails would be reviewed and released prior to the election. Clinton, Kaine Release Health Data

Following Hillary Clinton’s recent bout with pneumonia, Hillary for America released an updated letter from Clinton’s doctor, Dr. Lisa Bardack, and released a letter for the doctor of Senator Tim Kaine. The release from HFA is below, and the letter from Clinton’s doctor can be viewed HERE while Kaine’s letter can be viewed HERE.

Today, Hillary for America released comprehensive information updating the public on Secretary Hillary Clinton’s personal health. The information provides an update to the last disclosure of Secretary Clinton’s health information in July 2015.

The campaign also released comprehensive health information on Senator Tim Kaine.

Clinton’s updated information was provided in the form of a letter from Dr. Lisa Bardack, who is Chair of Internal Medicine at CareMount Medical in Mount Kisco, NY.

Kaine’s update is provided in the form of a letter from Dr. Brian P. Monahan, who is the attending physician of the U.S. Congress.

“It’s fair to say the public now knows more about Hillary Clinton than nearly anyone in public life,” said Robby Mook, Hillary for America Campaign Manager. “Hillary Clinton’s release of updated medical information today meets a standard followed by presidential candidates like Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Additionally, Hillary has made public nearly 40 years of tax returns over her lifetime. In stark contrast, Donald Trump is hands down the least transparent presidential nominee in memory. His Doctor Oz charade is as completely unserious as his original joke of a letter written in five minutes. He continues to hide his taxes and business dealing behind fake excuses. And it begs the question: what is he trying to hide?”

State Department Releases New Clinton Email

Last week, the State Department announced that of the 15,000 emails found on Hillary Clinton’s email server turned over to the department by the FBI, 30 were related to the attacks in Benghazi, Libya. This past week, the State Department said that of the 30 emails, only three had been previously unreleased. The one new email is dated January 23, 2013 and is from Ambassador to Brazil Tom Shannon to Clinton’s aide Cheryl Mills complimenting Clinton on her handling of her testimony on Capitol Hill. Mills then forwarded the email to Clinton. The other two emails are forwarded copies of two previously released emails. A copy of the emails is embedded below, and a PDF copy can be downloaded HERE.

Judicial Watch Releases Second Set of Clinton Emails

This week, the conservative group Judicial Watch released a new set of emails showing correspondence between Clinton Foundation executive Doug Band and Hillary Clinton’s top State Department aide Huma Abedin. In one exchange that is referenced by the group, Abedin and Band are discussing his request for diplomatic passport to visit North Korea. Officials have confirmed that his request was related to the release of American hostages negotiated by former President Bill Clinton. The same official stated that Band was not granted the passport.

Hillary for America responded to defensively saying that the release was tied to a sensitive diplomatic mission. HFA spokesman Josh Schwerin responded, “Judicial Watch is now attacking State Department officials and the 42nd President of the United States for rescuing two American journalists from North Korea. This is a new low even for this right-wing organization that has been going after the Clintons since the 1990s.” The release contains over 500 pages of email correspondence that was requested through the Freedom of Information Act. FBI Releases Documents from Clinton Email Investigation

On Friday, the FBI released a collection of documents related to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as Secretary of State. The 58 page document includes a number of pages about the investigation process, but it also includes the notes from Clinton’s FBI interview on July 2. The interview reveals several facts about the server and devices Clinton used as Secretary of State, such as the fact that Clinton used thirteen different devices (cell phones, iPads, etc.) throughout her tenure as Secretary of State.
