Kaine and Holton Campaign in North Carolina, Virginia

Tim Kaine and Anne Holton campaigned in North Carolina and Virginia on the final day of the campaign. Kaine and Holten began the day in North Carolina where they spoke at events in Charlotte and Wilmington. Kaine spoke about the importance of the election and the high stakes for the future of the country. He urged North Carolinians to get out and vote tomorrow because they are a key battleground state in this election. “Everybody’s watching you, North Carolina. If Hillary wins in North Carolina, take it to the bank, she’s president of the United States,” he said. Kaine urged everyone to consider the future and vote tomorrow. Kaine and Holton returned to Virginia where they held an event on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax. They were joined by Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden. The vice president spoke briefly introducing Kaine. When Kaine took the stage, he spoke about being back in Virginia and what is at stake in this election. He urged everyone to get out and vote tomorrow saying that he was proud of Virginia. “I like the energy I’m seeing in Virginia,” he said. A video from the event will be posted when/if available.

Kaine and Holton held their final event of the campaign in their hometown of Richmond. Kaine said that it was nice to be back in Virginia before asking everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday. Like Clinton, he spoke about the far reaching affects this election will have on the country’s future and urged everyone to consider the different visions of America presented by Trump and Clinton. Tim Kaine Delivers National Security Speech in North Carolina

Tim Kaine delivered a speech on national security and foreign policy in Wilmington, North Carolina on Monday. During his speech, Kaine spoke about the experience of Hillary Clinton and contrasted her experience with the comments and actions of Republican Donald Trump. Kaine painted Trump as someone who cannot be trusted when it comes to foreign policy because he is “emotionally volatile, fact-challenged, self-obsessed and inexperienced.” Kaine spoke about the importance of the United States’ relationship with its allies and questioned whether Trump would be able to maintain the United States’ status as a leader in the world. “He has a bizarre fascination with strongmen and authoritarian leaders in countries that are no allies of the United States, and with respect to our allies, he would toss alliances aside, and says he wants to ‘take everything back from the world that we’ve given to them. Trump has offered empty promises and divisive rhetoric. Under his leadership, we would be unrecognizable to the rest of the world. And we would be far less safe,” he said. Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Delaware and Pennsylvania

On the eve of Tuesday’s primaries, Hillary Clinton spoke at Get Out the Vote events in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Her first event was in Wilmington where she made the case that she is the best qualified for president because of her experience in Congress and as Secretary of State. During her speech, Clinton criticized Republican candidate Donald Trump for being out of touch with Americans saying, “Come out of those towers named for yourself and actually talk to people. If you want to be president of the United States, you’ve actually got to be familiar with the United States.” Despite her attacks on Trump, Clinton said that she is open to talking to Republicans in Congress to get things done for Americans.

Clinton then traveled to Youngwood, Pennsylvania where she spoke to a crowd of supporters at Westmoreland County Community College. She focused on her platform points speaking about reducing the cost of higher education, equal rights for women, and continuing the progress of the last eight years. Clinton then asked for voters support in tomorrow’s primaries saying, “If you vote for me tomorrow, I will stand up and fight for you every day.”

Clinton’s final Get Out the Vote rally was in Philadelphia. In her final speech before voters head to the polls, Clinton spoke about a number of her platform points including requiring mandatory background checks before any gun purchase, expanding early childhood education funding, lower the cost of a college education, reducing the debt of college graduates, and ensuring equal pay for women. She spoke about the importance of the 2016 election before asking for voters support in tomorrow’s primary. Videos from today’s events will be posted when/if available.
