Tim Kaine Campaigns in Asheville, NC

Tim Kaine campaigned in Asheville, North Carolina today as he kicked off a two day visit to the state. After meeting with patrons at a local restaurant, Kaine was introduced by his wife, Anne Holton, during a rally at Arthur Edington Education & Career Center. During his speech, Kaine spoke about Hillary Clinton’s economic plan which calls for the largest creation of jobs in the United States since World War II. He explained that Clinton will achieve this by boosting American manufacturing, investing in clean energy, and repairing the nation’s infrastructure. Kaine went on to criticize Donald Trump’s economic policy for its tendency to be beneficial to the highest earners. A video from the Asheville event is below.

Meanwhile, in Colorado, Campaign Manager Robby Mook attended a fundraiser in Denver. The event was hosted by Arash and Ted Trimpa. Senator Cory Booker also attended an HFA fundraiser. He addressed Atlanta for45 in Georgia.

Bill Clinton Spends Saturday in Pennsylvania

On Saturday, Bill Clinton spoke at two organizing events in Pennsylvania on behalf of his wife Hillary Clinton. Between the two events, he also stopped a number of restaurants and businesses in the Philadelphia area. His first event at the Swarthmore Rutledge School where he spoke about a number of Hillary’s platform points including the economy and health care. He asked supporters to vote for Hillary on Tuesday in the Pennsylvania primary.

Clinton then traveled to Ambler where he spoke to a crowd of supporters at Wissahickon Middle School. At the event, he was joined by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly. Giffords and Kelly spoke briefly, but Clinton spent a part of his speech focusing on introducing measures to curb gun violence. Like Hillary, he called for universal background checks to ensure firearms are not getting into the hands of those who should not own one. Clinton also spoke about other topics including health care, higher education costs, and raising the middle class. Videos from today’s events will be added when/if available.

Bill Clinton Returns to New Hampshire

On Wednesday, Bill Clinton returned to New Hampshire to campaign for Hillary Clinton. His first event was at Keene State College where he spoke about his wife’s accomplishments, strengths, and how her career has prepared her for the presidency. He referenced her experience as First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State. He wrapped up his speech with a personal note saying, “From the time I met her 45 years ago this March, she’s the best changemaker I’ve ever known.” Tonight, Clinton attended an event at Dartmouth College in Hanover where he gave a similar speech. Bill Clinton on the Campaign Trail

This week, Bill Clinton began hosting private and public events on behalf of his wife and Hillary for America. On Thursday, Clinton visited Cedar Rapids and Dubuque, Iowa where he took the opportunity to meet with several voters and hold two organizing events. His speeches were similar in that he spoke about the importance of electing a Democrat as president in 2016, and the best candidate for the job is Hillary Clinton. He spoke of her qualifications, and said that she is the best qualified person for the job. He said, “I do not believe in my lifetime, we have had a president that was more prepared, not only by experience but by temperament, to step in to this incredible mix of promise and peril. Ever. I don’t think it’s close.” A video from one of his speeches is below.

Former president Clinton also attended several private fundraisers over the last several days. Beginning on Wednesday, January 6, Clinton attended a New York City fundraiser hosted by the NY Film and TV for Hillary. On Friday, Clinton was scheduled to attend a fundraiser at the Paradise Valley, Arizona home of Dr. Nadeem and Hajra Kazi. He then flew to Seattle, Washington to attend a fundraiser at the Century Ballroom. Today, he was scheduled to appear at a fundraiser hosted by James Griffin in Los Ranchos, New Mexico before flying to Ohio to attend a fundraiser at the DiGeronimo Residence in Independence. As with all private fundraisers, they were closed to the press.

Bill Clinton Hits Campaign Trail for Hillary

On Monday, former president Bill Clinton returned to the campaign trail for his wife at two organizing events held in New Hampshire. The first event was held in Nashua where he applauded his wife’s plan to restore the prosperity of the American people. He praised Hillary Clinton’s credentials saying, “I do not believe in my lifetime, anybody has run for this job at a moment of greater importance who was better qualified by knowledge, experience and temperament to do what needs to be done now.” A full video from the event is below.

The former president then traveled to Exeter where he delivered a speech that was similar to the one earlier in the day, with a focus on “broad base prosperity.” In addition, he spoke about a variety of topics including gun control, Supreme Court appointments, and her credentials. He focused on the accomplishments of her career, but focused primarily on her time as First Lady, a Senator from New York, and Secretary of State.  A full video of Clinton’s speech in Exeter is available on C-SPAN.
