Kaine Encourages Voters in Florida

Tim Kaine returned to Florida on Saturday where he spoke about the importance of the election and Florida’s role on Tuesday. He urged everyone to vote because he wants Hillary Clinton to win Florida. Speaking on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Kaine outlined a number of Clinton’s key platform plans including raising the minimum wage, creating new jobs by investing in infrastructure and American manufacturing, and making college more affordable. Kaine concluded by asking everyone to vote adding, “This is my ninth race. I’m 8 and 0, and I’m not planning on losing Tuesday. Here’s what I tell myself in every race I every run: I’m the underdog until they call me the winner.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.

Kaine then spoke at a get out the vote event in Sarasota where he focused on the importance of early voting and defeating Donald Trump. He spoke about the dangers of the vision painted by Trump and offered Clinton’s platform as an optimistic alternative. Kaine said that Clinton has worked her entire life for families and children, and she will not stop once elected. He concluded the event by urging everyone to vote on Tuesday or to take advantage of early voting. “I’m going to just get to the punchline: If you win it in Florida, it’s won,” he said. Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Pittsburgh and Detroit

On Friday, Hillary Clinton campaigned in two battleground states with her first event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Clinton was joined by former Steelers football players Franco Harris and Mel Blount, singer Donnie Iris, and Mark Cuban. Cuban introduced Clinton and attacked Donald Trump saying that “we cannot put our trust in Trump.” Clinton then spoke about a number of her campaign platform points and focused on her plans to create jobs by investing in infrastructure and American manufacturing. She said that as president, she would lead by listening to people and finding common ground, something that she doubts Trump is capable of. Clinton concluded by asking everyone to vote adding, “This is one of those make-or-break moments for the United States. It might be the most important election of our lifetimes.” A video of Clinton’s speech is below.

Clinton then traveled to Detroit, Michigan where she asked everyone to consider what kind of future we want for our country and our children. Do we want Trump’s divisive vision that brings back failed policies? Or would we rather plan for the country’s future by working together and creating an economy for the 21st century that benefit everyone? She outlined a number of her plans, but said that none of it will be possible if Trump is elected. Clinton urged everyone to get out and vote saying, “You have to vote. Our progress is on the line. Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Florida One Week Before Election

One week out from the election, Hillary Clinton made her case to voters in Florida today. Her first two events were in Dade City and Sanford where she spoke about a number of platform points including her plans to create jobs, make college more affordable, and ensure equal pay for women. But she went after Donald Trump with fervor. Clinton attacked Trump for his comments about Senator John McCain and our military, women, immigrants, and the list goes on. She focused on Trump’s comments about in women in particular as she appeared with former Miss Universe Alicia Machado in Dade City. “If we look at what Trump has been doing for 30 years, he sure has spent a lot of time demeaning and degrading women. He calls women ugly. Disgusting. Calls women pigs. Rates bodies on a scale of 1 to 10,” she said. Clinton concluded each event asking everyone to vote next Tuesday or to take advantage of early voting. Watch videos of Clinton’s events below.

Clinton wrapped up the day at an event in Fort Lauderdale. Clinton spoke to an enthusiastic crowd about her vision for America. A country that is inclusive and offers opportunities for everyone and not just a select few. She said, “It is time for us to say no, we are not going backward. We are going forward. How do we do that? For the next seven days focus on what is important. Don’t get distracted. Don’t get diverted.” Clinton also had strong criticisms of Trump saying, “Donald Trump has proven himself temperamentally unfit and unqualified to be president of the United States. He has proven himself unfit. And what he is doing with his conspiracy theories, with his insulting and with his demeaning and degrading millions of Americans proves he should not be allowed anywhere near the White House.” She concluded by asking everyone to take advantage of early voting. Bill Clinton Stresses Early Voting in Pennsylvania

Bill Clinton returned to Pennsylvania where he spoke at a series of event focused on early voting. At his first stop in Aliquippa, he spoke about a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points including her plans to grow the economy and create new jobs. Bill spoke about a number of ways Hillary would create jobs including investing in infrastructure, focusing on growth in the manufacturing sector, and investing in clean energy. He admitted that there have been parts of the country left behind, and Hillary will focus on ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity. He concluded by encouraging everyone to vote on November 8th or to take advantage of early voting. A partial video from the event is below.

Bill then traveled to Duncansville where he continued to speak his wife’s blueprint for America and how her vision is starkly different from that of Republican Donald Trump’s. He spoke about a number of Hillary’s primary areas of focus including health care, making college affordable, and investing in rural communities. “Of all the federal development money for economics, should be devoted exclusively to small towns, rural areas, from Coal Country, to Indian Country to places in rural Pennsylvania, rural Arkansas, where nothing good has happened in a long time,” he said. Tim Kaine Rallies Supporters in Pennsylvania

Tim Kaine held two campaign events today in Pennsylvania where he encouraged voters to support Hillary Clinton for president and Katie McGinty for U.S. Senate. Speaking at events in Newtown and Allentown, Kaine focused on the issues and the dangers of electing Donald Trump. He said that the vision of America expressed by himself and Clinton are certainly more optimistic than Trump’s and he stressed the importance of the electing adding, “We can’t afford to get this wrong.” At both events, Kaine spoke about the importance of Pennsylvania in the electing saying, “Pennsylvania is key. Vice President Biden Rallies Crowd in Pittsburgh

Vice President Joe Biden campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. During his speech at Chatham University, Biden spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and electing Clinton and other Democrats to office across the country and especially in the United States Senate. He spoke about Clinton’s blueprint for America and how it is starkly different from the vision presented by Republican Donald Trump. While Biden spent quite a bit of his speech criticizing Trump, he also expressed his optimism for America’s future. “I am more optimistic about the prospects for America today than I have ever been in my life. We are on the cusp of being able to do some things that we haven’t been able to do since World War II, if we just have some confidence in ourselves,” he said. Anne Holton and Jill Biden Campaign in Pennsylvania

Anne Holton and Jill Biden campaigned together in Pennsylvania. Speaking at events in Philadelphia and Pheonixville, Holton and Biden focused on the blueprint for America presented by Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine and how it stands in stark contrast from Donald Trump’s vision for America. Biden said that she is tired of Trump’s comments about women saying, “It sickens us. I’m not sure what to say to my daughters and granddaughters who ask, ‘Is this what politics has become?’ It’s hard to explain as a mother and grandmother.”

Holton explained what it has been like working with Clinton the last few months. She explained that she does not only support Clinton because of her party affiliation, but because she is truly knowledgeable about the issues. “I’ve loved getting to be with her on the campaign trail. She’s such a good listener. Yes, she’s a policy wonk. We all know that. She’s a very serious person. I want a serious person in the Oval Office. Her policies come from talking to people. I see the way she talks to the campaign bus driver and the factory line worker, asking about the work-family balance. She connects what she hears from them to inform her policy,” Holton said. Meanwhile, a series of fundraisers were held on behalf of Hillary for America. The first was held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and featured a conversation with Laura Rosenberger, Foreign Policy Advisor. Actress Selma Hayek Pinault spoke at a fundraising event in Austin, Texas. In Massachusetts, former Congressman Barney Frank and Jimmy Tingle attended fundraising events in Newton and Jamaica Plain.

Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine campaigned together in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Their first event was in Pittsburgh where Kaine began by speaking about Clinton and their vision for the future. When Clinton took the stage, she had a populist tone speaking about a number of her key platform points including her plans to create jobs, invest in manufacturing jobs, raise the minimum wage, and her pledge to not raise taxes on middle class families. While she admitted that the campaign between her and Republican Donald Trump has been anything by calm, she hoped that everyone can come together after the election because we all have a stake in America’s future. “You probably know people who are thinking about voting for Donald Trump. I want you to tell them that I understand that they need a president who cares about them … and I want to be their president. Whether you vote for me or against me, I believe we can disagree without being disagreeable,” she added later. A video from the event is below.

Clinton and Kaine then traveled to Philadelphia where he spoke first about Clinton saying that despite what Trump says, he thinks that Clinton “looks damn presidential.” She then spoke to a crowd of over 7,000 supporters on a cool evening about the importance of the 2016 election and voting a Clinton-Kaine ticket to the White House, but she also stressed the importance of other down ballot races, especially the Pennsylvania race for Senate. She spoke about Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Katie McGinty and how she will work for Pennsylvanians in Congress. Clinton then urged everyone to vote on November 8th adding, “Friends don’t let friends vote Donald Trump.” A video from the rally is below.

On Thursday, First Lady Michelle Obama campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Phoenix, Arizona. Obama spoke to a crowd of over 7,000 about the optimistic vision for America offered by Clinton and her campaign platform. She condemned Donald Trump for his hateful rhetoric, and she blasted his refusal to say that he would accept the results of the 2016 election, regardless of the outcome. She said, “You don’t keep American democracy in suspense.” Obama then spoke about the importance of voting and how Arizona will play a vital role in this election. She admitted that this election cycle has been rough, but she said, “Do not let yourself get tired or frustrated or disgusted by everything you’ve seen in this campaign. Please, be encouraged. I have traveled the world, and I am telling you we still live in the greatest country on earth. We have every reason to be hopeful. Remember that in difficult times, we don’t give up.
