Sunday Morning Talk Show Roundup: Kaine, Podesta, Benenson

On Sunday morning, representatives for Hillary for America made the talk show rounds and spoke about the final strategies before Tuesday’s election. Tim Kaine was on CBS’s Face the Nation and John Dickerson and Kaine discussed the affect the FBI investigation has had on the campaign. “We’ve seen it add to the energy on our side. People on our side view this campaign as so important, the ‘Stronger Together’ message as so important and people don’t want it to be distracted. So there has been a great uptick in energy on our side in the early vote,” Kaine said. Watch a video of the full interview below.

John Podesta was interviewed on ABC’s This Week and NBC’s Meet the Press. During each interview, Podesta explained that while he is optimistic, the Clinton campaign is leaving nothing to chance before election. Podesta was also asked about the leaks of information coming out of the FBI and Podesta responded saying, “I think the men and women of the FBI are doing a tremendous job out here across the country. HFA representative Joel Benenson was interviewed on this morning’s episode of Fox News Sunday. Benenson was asked about the FBI investigation into Clinton’s email and the campaign’s strategy for the final days of the campaign. Benenson said that they are “playing offense in every state” and will continue to do so through Monday. Watch a video of the interview below.

HFA Releases New Campaign Ads

Throughout the week, Hillary for America has continued to release new campaign ads and videos. The first video they released is entitled “Barbershop” and includes African American voters making the case for electing Hillary Clinton. Then a video featuring President Barack Obama making the case for Hillary entitled “On the Ballot.” The next video features the story of Mae Brown Wiggins and how she was a victim of discrimination in an apartment building owned by Donald Trump. The next video is also about Trump and attacks his comments about women. The next ad features retired General John Allen. In the video, he makes the case for electing Clinton over Trump. Next is a series of two ads that are part of the final push before election day. Both ads ask what kind of country we want for our children? Then a short video featuring a conversation with Tim Kaine and rapper Pusha-T. Next is a video called “One Vote at a Time” that is the first in a series of videos featuring YouTube stars. The final video is a Spanish language ad that features the story of U.S. Army Pvt. Damián López Rodriguez, a soldier killed in Iraq. Watch the videos below.

HFA Releases Series of New Ads Highlighting Republicans Supporting Clinton

Following Sunday night’s debate, Hillary for America released a series of new ads going after Donald Trump by featuring a number of Republicans who are supporting Hillary Clinton. The first video calls out Trump for his non-apology for comments made about women in 2005. The next four videos are ads featuring Republicans who are backing Clinton over Trump. Each of the them speak about their concerns with Trump and his lack of Republican values. The next video talks about what is at stake for DREAMers in Nevada. Next is an ad called “Show Up” which highlights the power of voting and urges people to vote for Clinton on November 8. Then, HFA released a video titled “Progress is on the Ballot” featuring the progress made under President Barack Obama and that Clinton has plans to continue that progress. The final ad is about the recent meltdowns of Trump. Watch the series of videos below.

Clinton Campaign Releases New Series of Videos

Over the past week, Hillary for America has released a series of videos, many of which go after Donald Trump for his policies and gaffes. One video, titled “Trump’s Bad Week,” only covers events from the week of August 1. Other videos released include a review of Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine’s post-convention bus tour and a behind the scenes look at the Democratic National Convention. DNC Wrap-Up: Day 2

On Tuesday evening, the second night of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia made history by officially nominating Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Party’s candidate for president. Clinton becomes the first female candidate to receive the nomination of a major political party. Clinton made a brief appearance via satellite from New York and thanked everyone for their support. She will officially accept the party’s nomination during her speech on Thursday.

In additional to the historic moment, the evening also featured another marquee night of speeches. Those taking the stage included Former Senator Tom Harkin, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, Senator Chuck Schumer, the principal and students from Eagle Academy, Former Attorney General Eric Holder, Senator Barbara Boxer, Representative Joseph Crowley, Mothers of the Moment, former Governor of Vermont Howard Dean, and actress Meryl Streep. The most powerful speech of the evening was delivered by President Bill Clinton. He focused on he and Hillary’s relationship and personal life. He called Hillary “the best darn change-maker” that he has ever seen and said that she will fight for everyone and does not back down from a fight. The DNC is also featuring a series of videos highlighting Clinton’s career and personal life. Included in those videos Tuesday was one covering her time as Secretary of State and one about how she worked with the Eagle Academy. A third video was about the career of Bill Clinton. Clinton Campaign Releases Series of Videos During RNC

As the Republicans gathered this week to nominate Donald Trump as their presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton and her team hammered Trump in a series of web videos. In the series, Clinton and her allies go after Trump’s running mate Governor Mike Pence, his business practices, and released several videos using his own words to contradict him. The most powerful of the series is a video that includes a series of quotes from Trump praising Clinton over the years. Clinton Releases New Campaign Videos

Over the past several weeks, Hillary Clinton has released a number of important campaign videos on the Hillary for America YouTube channel. The first video, released November 28, is about small businesses and their importance to the economy. The second is a video of young girls reading letters written to Clinton explaining why there needs to be a female president. One young girl wraps up perfectly saying “44 boys is too many!” Clinton’s most recent video is in support of LGBT equality and her vow to fight to end discrimination. All three videos are included in this post.

Clinton on “Face the Nation”

ftnclinton20920This morning, Hillary Rodham Clinton appeared on the CBS morning show Face the Nation. Host John Dickerson asked her about a wide variety topics including her email, Benghazi, Planned Parenthood, her campaign, and a possible presidential run by Vice President Joe Biden. She also spoke about her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders. She has been criticized by many supporters by not addressing Sanders, especially as he has risen in the polls.

A topic Dickerson and Clinton spoke at length about was Syria and the refugee crisis. Clinton believes the United States should accept some of the refugees. She said, “You know, look, we’re facing the worst refugee crisis since the end of World War II and I think the United States has to do more and I would like to see us move from what is a good start with 10,000 to 65,000 and begin immediately to put into place the mechanisms for vetting the people we would take in, looking to really emphasis some of those who are most vulnerable.” A a full video of the interview is available below:
