Vice President Biden Campaigns for Hillary at Wilkes University

Vice President Joe Biden campaigned for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine on the campus of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. During his speech, Biden outlined a number of Clinton’s platform points and how they will help everyone and not just those at the top. Biden also spoke about his personal friendship with Clinton saying that she has known her for more than three decades. He said, “She gets it guys. I want people to know the Hillary I know.” Biden spoke about Clinton’s dedication to the middle class and ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity in America. Vice President Biden Campaigns in New Hampshire

In Nashua, New Hampshire, Vice President Joe Biden spoke to supporters about electing Democrats to office up and down the ballot on November 8th. While he was in the state to campaign for Hillary Clinton, he also appeared with Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Democratic Senate candidate Maggie Hassan. Biden spoke about the importance of voting in the election on November 8th and blasted Donald Trump for his refusal to say he’d accept the outcome of the election. Biden said, “No democratic process can be sustained without a sense of trust. He’s questioning not the legitimacy of our elections, (but) the legitimacy of our democracy.” Biden also criticized Trump for his comments about the military and women saying that Trump does not represent American values. Tim Kaine on Trump’s Most Recent Comment About Accepting Election Outcome

During a press availability in Charlotte, North Carolina, vice presidential nominee Senator Tim Kaine made the following statement criticizing Trump for undermining a central pillar of American democracy:

“While I was speaking, Donald Trump gave a speech in Delaware, Ohio, and I might just read you the script: ‘I would like to promise a pledge to all of my voters and supporters, all of the people of the United States, that I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election if I win.’ If I win. That is a direct quote from Donald Trump. Well obviously, Donald, that is not accepting the results. You’ve got to accept the results of this election, win or lose. That’s the pledge we made. Hillary stood on the stage in the first debate and said, ‘Of course I’m going to accept the results of the election.’ And that Donald Trump was unwilling to make that pledge, and still thinks he’s saying something positive by saying, ‘I’ll accept the results if I win’ shows he has a profound misunderstanding of the institutions of government and that he is trying to do something and upset a tradition that has been one of the most notable features of American democracy.”

Tim Kaine Appears on Thursday’s Episode of The View

On Thursday, Tim Kaine appeared on an episode of ABC’s The View where he was interviewed by the show’s hosts. During the interview, Kaine was asked about a number of topics including his thoughts on recent allegations of sexual assault against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, his thoughts on last week’s Vice Presidential Debate, and working with Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton Campaigns with Al Gore in Miami

Hillary Clinton campaigned with former Vice President Al Gore today in Miami, Florida. Appearing together at Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus, Clinton spoke about her plan to address climate change and make the United States a clean energy super power. She then introduced Gore as “one of the world’s foremost leaders on climate change.” Gore then took the stage and spoke about the threat of climate change to the United States and the world. He urged voters to elect a leader who acknowledged that climate change is real. “Your vote really, really, really counts,” he said adding, referring to is 2000 presidential election loss, “You can consider me as an Exhibit A of that.” A video of Clinton and Gore’s speeches is below.

Tim Kaine Campaigns in Nevada

Tim Kaine wrapped up a visit to Nevada this morning with an event in Henderson at the Sun City MacDonald Ranch. While Kaine spoke about he and Hillary Clinton’s platform, he primarily focused on health care during the event. He spoke about Clinton’s proposals to give tax credits to caregivers, provide grants to researchers to find a cure for Alzheimer’s, combat the rising costs of prescription drugs, and protect Medicare and Social Security. Vice President Biden Campaigns for Hillary in Pennsylvania

On Friday, Vice President Joe Biden returned to the campaign trail where he spoke to a crowd of supporters in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Speaking to students at Bucks County Community College, he spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and electing Hillary Clinton president instead of Republican Donald Trump. “I know some of you, and some of the people you’re trying to convince, aren’t crazy about Hillary, I know that. I think she’s gotten an unfair deal,” he said. Biden spoke about a number of Clinton’s platform proposals, including plans to reduce student loan interest rates and reducing the cost of higher education for future students. Biden also urged those who have not registered to vote to do so before Pennsylvania’s deadline on October 11, then he urged them to vote on November 8th. “Don’t wake up on November 9th and find we’ve lost Pennsylvania by 2,000 votes,” he said. Tim Kaine, Bill Clinton on the Campaign Trial for Hillary

Tim Kaine returned to the campaign trail on Wednesday following his strong debate performance on Tuesday night. During his speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kaine claimed victory, but did address criticisms that he interrupted Mike Pence too many times joking that even his wife gave him a hard time about it. He did go after Pence for not defending his running mate Donald Trump saying, “Your running mate ought to be able to defend you.” Kaine continued with his speech talking about a number of Hillary’s key platform points including creating new jobs, raising the minimum wage, supporting labor unions, improving health care, supporting the middle class, and ensuring that everyone has an equal chance in America. Bill Clinton remained in Ohio where he wrapped up a multiple day bus tour of the state. This morning he was in Youngstown where he spoke about Hillary’s plans to create new jobs and help communities that have been hit hard by unemployment and a loss of manufacturing and mining jobs. He said that he understands voters’ anger saying, “Look, there’s a reason for the road rage today. People go 15 years without a raise, they’re mad.” He then outlined a number of of Hillary’s platform proposals that would help communities like Youngstown including investments in infrastructure and clean energy. Speaking at the local UAW hall, Bill also spoke about the importance of labor unions and Hillary’s continued support for them while Republicans like Trump and Pence try to stamp out unions. Bill then traveled to Canton where he continued to his focus on the economy and job creation. He said, “I think we’re on the verge of the greatest period of prosperity, discovery and advancement in the history of this country, if we do that right thing.” But, Bill warned, there are people like Trump who are more interested in helping those at the top of the income scale and ignore those in the middle and working classes. He said that in order to grow the economy, we need to tap into previously untapped resources. “We need more manufacturing loans, we need more small business loans and more small business startups, we need more investments in science and technology,” he said. Kaine Strong in Vice Presidential Debate

On Tuesday night, the running mates of Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump faced off in the only vice presidential debate. Senator Tim Kaine and former Indiana Governor Mike Pence faced off in a debate moderated by CBSN’s Elaine Quijano. The two vice-presidential candidates argued about a number of topics including foreign policy, health care, social services, and jobs. At the end of the debate, many agreed that Pence was the more polished debater, but Kaine was better at defending his running mate and talking about Clinton’s proposed policies. Pence spent the majority of the debate deflecting attacks on Trump, and not answering the many criticisms thrown his direction.

Everyone will argue about who won or who lost the debate. But they won’t have long since the next presidential debate between Clinton and Trump is this Sunday, October 9. Watch a full replay of the vice-presidential debate below.

Hillary for America Canvasses the Country on National Voter Registration Day

September 27, 2016 is National Voter Registration Day and Hillary for America canvassed the country holding nearly 1,400 voter registration drives to ensure that Americans were registered to vote before their states’ deadlines. HFA released the following information outlining what they did today.

Following last night’s debate, Hillary Clinton, Tim Kaine and high profile surrogates are back on the campaign trail today, marking National Voter Registration Day by barnstorming battleground states to raise awareness of voter registration deadlines and to discuss the high stakes of the November election. With important voter registration deadlines coming up soon, Hillary for America is capitalizing on today’s national day of action by organizing nearly 1,400 local voter registration events in communities across the country.

Every election, millions of Americans don’t get to cast their ballot because they missed their state’s registration deadline or didn’t know how to register. Hillary for America will build off the excitement from the debate to talk about importance of registering to vote ahead of registration deadlines by holding local voter registration events across the country.

“Last night, families across the country tuned into the first presidential debate and witnessed just how high the stakes are in this election.
