Vice President Joe Biden Campaigns in Florida

Vice President Joe Biden returned to Florida where he attended two campaign events on behalf of Hillary Clinton and local Democrats. At his first stop in Tampa, Biden spoke about the importance of electing Clinton president and electing Democrats such as Patrick Murphy to the Senate. Biden spoke about a number of issues that Clinton will focus on as president such as creating jobs and growing the economy. He also went after Donald Trump saying, “This guy doesn’t deserve to be president. On his sixth bankruptcy he stiffed more workers than you can count and then on national television in a debate said ‘maybe I didn’t like the quality of the work.’ Well, Trump, maybe I don’t like the quality of what you say.” He urged everyone to get out and vote on November 8th and to take advantage of early voting. Biden then spoke at a rally in Palm Beach Gardens where he characterized Florida as a must win for Clinton. He said, “Here we go again. Florida. It always comes down to Florida. … We get it done here, we can go home to bed early Tuesday.” Speaking on the campus of Palm Beach State College, Biden spoke about the rising cost of college education and Clinton’s plan to make college more affordable for students and ensure that they graduate debt-free. Hillary Clinton Returns to Florida to Encourage Early Voting

Hillary Clinton spent her birthday campaigning in Florida. Her first event was on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth. During her speech, Clinton spoke about a number of plans including her proposals to grow the economy, create jobs, and make college more affordable. She also went after Republican Donald Trump and his rhetoric during the campaign cycle and for saying he will not accept the results of the election unless he wins. Clinton called this statement “horrifying” and called it an attack on American democracy. She then spoke about the importance of the election not only for the presidential race, but the down ballot races as well. She encouraged voters to send candidate Patrick Murphy to the U.S. Senate and kick out Senator Marco Rubio. Clinton then asked everyone to vote on November 8th or to take advantage of early voting adding, “Ten million people have already voted, and two million of them right here in Florida. That means Florida has already cast 20 percent of the votes that are in the ballot box. Don’t let anyone tell you they don’t have time to vote.” Watch a video of Clinton’s speech below.

Clinton then traveled to Tampa where she urged voters not to become complacent given current polling numbers. “With 13 days left in this election, we cannot stop for a minute. No complacency. Nobody flagging. We’ve got to get everybody out to vote,” she told supporters. Clinton spoke about a number of her platform points including her plans to raise the minimum wage, ensure equal pay for women, and guarantee paid time off for families. Clinton criticized Trump for his campaign rhetoric saying that she thinks that America’s diversity is one of it’s strongest assets. She said, “I am proud to have support from Republicans and independents here across Florida and across America who agree with me that we should reject hate and division. We have seen Donald Trump insult nearly every person in America, and I just find that so intolerable because — look at this diverse crowd, look at Tampa. Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Tampa

On Monday, Hillary Clinton spoke at a rally in Tampa, Florida. Speaking at the University of South Florida, Clinton focused on her policy proposals focusing on the sharp contrast between her plans and those proposed by Republican Donald Trump. She spoke about her plans to create jobs and grow the economy, raise the minimum wage, combat Zika virus, make higher education more affordable, and reduce student loan debt interest rates. We’re going to make this economy grow, but we’re also going to make it fair,” she said about her plan to ensure incomes rise for all Americans and not just those in the highest income brackets. Clinton also criticized Trump for comments he made about solving the country’s problems alone. She said that working to improve the country “cannot be done by any one person. Hillary Clinton Attacks Trump’s Self-Centered Campaign

Hillary Clinton rallied a large crowd in Tampa, Florida late Friday afternoon. During the event, Clinton focused her attacks on the Republican National Convention and the acceptance speech given by nominee Donald Trump. Clinton slammed Trump for his “I alone can fix this” mentality saying that no president works alone. In fact, the Constitution ensures that a president does not act alone. She accused him of being overly negative saying, “Last night’s speech took it to a whole new level. He offered a lot of fear and anger. And resentment but no solutions about anything that he even talked about.” Clinton offered a counter message saying that during next weeks Democratic National Convention Americans will see an optimistic, inclusive vision for America. Hillary Attends Events in Three States

On Thursday, Hillary Clinton campaigned in three different states. She began in Tampa, Florida where she spoke to a group of supporters at the Ritz Ybor. During the event, Clinton spoke about her plans as president, and she also criticized Florida Governor Rick Scott for turning down federal funds to develop a high speed rail system between Orlando and Tampa. She said, “It makes absolutely no sense, especially when we know that we’re going to have to do high-speed rail if we’re going to have a competitive economy.” A video from the event is below.

Clinton then traveled to Durham, North Carolina where she spoke to a crowd at Hillside High School. During her speech, she covered a wide variety of platform topics including voting rights, women’s rights, heath care, and jobs. She specifically spoke about investment opportunities in North Carolina saying, “That’s why I’m proposing more jobs with infrastructure, manufacturing, and let’s combat climate change with more clean, renewable energy jobs. And yes, let’s invest in more research right here in the Research Triangle. You know what that could mean!”

The final event of the day was held in Vernon Hills, Illinois. During the event, Clinton spoke about a number of her key platform points including clean energy, equal pay, LGBT rights, and gun control. During the event she took shots at her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders and the Republican presidential field, particularly Donald Trump. Directly referencing Trump’s campaign slogan, she said, “I listen to some of the other candidates, they are so pessimistic, so negative about us. I’ll tell you that’s not how I see us and our country. Bill Clinton Campaigns for Hillary in MS, LA, and NE

Leading up to this weekend’s and next Tuesday’s primary races, Bill Clinton covered three states in two days campaigning for Hillary Clinton. On Thursday, Clinton spoke to supporters at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. During his remarks, he spoke about his wife’s experience and her plans to move the country forward. He said, “I think if the people of Mississippi stick with us, we’ll have some things we can really talk about.” Mississippi’s primary is on Tuesday.

On Thursday evening, Clinton spoke to a crowd in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he focused on Hillary’s experience and her plans for future. He focused on a number of platform topics including her plans for the economy, jobs, heath care, and addressing systemic racism. He asked supporters to get out and support her in Saturday’s Democratic primary race against Bernie Sanders. A video from the event is below.

On Friday, Clinton remained in Louisiana for an event in New Orleans. Speaking at the Ashe Power House Theater, Clinton spoke about Hillary as a change maker and someone who wants to keep America great. While he never mentioned Republican Donald Trump by name, Clinton took some shots at the front-runner. He also spoke about a number of Hillary’s key platform points, including reducing the cost of higher education, repairing infrastructure, fight the heroin epidemic, and pushing for equal pay for women.

Clinton then traveled to Nebraska where he spoke at the The Waiting Room nightclub in Omaha. During the event, he asked voters to support Hillary in this Saturday’s caucus. He also focused on a number of platform points, including higher education and student debt. He said, “What does she want to do about that? Make college tuition free in every public university in the country, in every historically black university and college in the country and every university that serves first and second generation Americans and other universities that are small with relatively modest tuition and high rates of return.”

Clinton’s final event of the day was a Get Out the Caucus event in Lincoln. At the Lincoln Station Great Hall, Mayor Chris Beutler endorsed Hillary before introducing Clinton. During his speech, Clinton spoke about the wage barriers that exist for too many American families and that Hillary has plans to help expand the middle class. He also spoke about her plans to improve the infrastructure and expand broadband internet. Clinton covered Hillary’s plans to expand background checks before buying a gun saying that the majority of gun owners support background checks. At the end of the speech, he asked voters to support Hillary in Saturday’s caucus saying, “If you want us to rise together…you should vote for the best change maker…vote for Hillary tomorrow.”

In Tampa, Florida tonight, Hillary For America hosted a town hall event on the American military and what can be done help service members and their families during and after their service. Attending the event was retired Brigadier General John Douglass, retired Rear Admiral Michael Smith (ret), Major General Rick Olson, and Jon Murray, National Director of Veterans and Military Families Outreach at Hillary for America.
