Hillary Clinton Wraps Up Campaign with Events in Three States

Hillary Clinton spent the final day of the campaign speaking at events in three states. She began at an event in Oakland, Pennsylvania where she outlined her vision of America and said that she wants “to be the president for all Americans, not just some.” She never mentioned Donald Trump by name, but she urged everyone to “rise above all of this hate-filled rhetoric.” She concluded her speech by asking everyone to get out and vote tomorrow adding, “I’m here to ask you to vote for yourselves, vote for your families, vote for your futures. … Because they are on the ballot.” A video from the event is below.

Clinton then traveled to Allendale, Michigan for a get out the vote rally on the campus of Grand Valley State University. Clinton focused more on her platform and the future of the country than she did her opponent. She spoke about her plans to create jobs, improve health care, make college more affordable, raise the minimum wage, and ensure equal pay for women. She said that if elected president, she will work for everyone and looks forward to working with Senators Debbie Stabenow and Bernie Sanders to pass a platform aimed at helping all Americans. In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a rally was held in front of a crowd of several thousand. The event began with musical performances by Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. Bill and Chelsea Clinton then took the stage and briefly spoke about the importance of the election. Next, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama each spoke about Clinton’s platform and how she is the only candidate to carry on the legacy of the Obama administration. When Clinton took the stage, she urged everyone to consider the future of the country saying that she is optimistic. She concluded by asking everyone to get out and vote tomorrow. Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea wrapped up the campaign at a midnight rally in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event opened with performances by Jon Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga, then Chelsea and Bill spoke. They spoke about the campaign and the importance of voting tomorrow. When Hillary took the stage, shorty before 1 am, she spoke about her optimistic vision of the future and urged everyone to vote for the future they envision for our country. “I believe it’s the most important election of our lifetime. It’s not just my name or Donald Trump’s name on the ballot, it’s the kind of country you want,” she said. A video from the event is below.

Kaine and Holton Campaign in North Carolina, Virginia

Tim Kaine and Anne Holton campaigned in North Carolina and Virginia on the final day of the campaign. Kaine and Holten began the day in North Carolina where they spoke at events in Charlotte and Wilmington. Kaine spoke about the importance of the election and the high stakes for the future of the country. He urged North Carolinians to get out and vote tomorrow because they are a key battleground state in this election. “Everybody’s watching you, North Carolina. If Hillary wins in North Carolina, take it to the bank, she’s president of the United States,” he said. Kaine urged everyone to consider the future and vote tomorrow. Kaine and Holton returned to Virginia where they held an event on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax. They were joined by Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden. The vice president spoke briefly introducing Kaine. When Kaine took the stage, he spoke about being back in Virginia and what is at stake in this election. He urged everyone to get out and vote tomorrow saying that he was proud of Virginia. “I like the energy I’m seeing in Virginia,” he said. A video from the event will be posted when/if available.

Kaine and Holton held their final event of the campaign in their hometown of Richmond. Kaine said that it was nice to be back in Virginia before asking everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday. Like Clinton, he spoke about the far reaching affects this election will have on the country’s future and urged everyone to consider the different visions of America presented by Trump and Clinton. Katy Perry Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Philadelphia

Pop star Katy Perry performed at a Get Out the Vote concert in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before Perry took the stage, a number of speakers addressed the crowd including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, actress Debra Messing, and Senator Cory Booker. Hillary Clinton then took the stage and spoke about the stakes in this election and urged everyone to vote. She said, “More than 37 1⁄2 million people in our country have already voted. Now why are they out there voting? Because I believe they are standing up for a hopeful inclusive vision of America. I’m asking you to stand up for that same vision when you come out to vote on November 8.” Perry then performed a number of her songs for the crowd of supporters. Bon Jovi Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Florida

On Saturday, Jon Bon Jovi performed at a Get Out the Vote concert in St. Petersburg, Florida. Bon Jovi performed a number of his hits in between talking about the importance of the election and encouraging everyone to vote for Hillary Clinton. He was joined on stage by Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine, who spoke to crowd. Borrowing from Bon Jovi’s song lyrics, Kaine said, “I don’t wanna be another wave in the ocean. I’m rock, not just another grain of sand. We’re not just waves in the ocean, folks. And we’re not just grains of sand. We’ve got power. We’ve got power politically and nobody more than in Florida. If you put your votes behind Hillary Clinton, it is done. She will be President.” He then played the harmonica along with Bon Jovi. A video clip from the concert is below.

Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Pembroke Pines

Hillary Clinton returned to Florida on Saturday where she spoke at a rally in Pembroke Pines. Clinton took the stage and was about five minutes into her speech when it began to rain. She quickly wrapped up her speech asking everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday saying, “I want to be the president for everybody. Hillary Clinton Campaigns in North Carolina

Hillary Clinton returned to North Carolina on Thursday where she spoke at two events. Her first event was on the campus of Pitt Community College in Winterville. Clinton spoke for over half an hour about a number of her platform points including criminal justice reform, creating new jobs, making college more affordable, and creating an economy that works for everyone and does not favor those at the top. She also went after Donald Trump for his divisive rhetoric and his comments about various groups including women, Muslims, immigrants, and African Americans. Clinton said that Trump’s comments are encouraging others adding, “He’s giving a dog whistle to his supporters. [He’s] endorsed by the official paper of the KKK.” Clinton concluded her speech by asking everyone for their vote and encouraged them to take advantage of early voting or turn out next Tuesday. Clinton then traveled to Raleigh where she was joined by Senator Bernie Sanders and singer Pharrell Williams. Williams and Sanders spoke first talking about the stakes of the election and encouraging everyone to vote. When Clinton took the stage, she spoke about a number of her platform points including her plans to create more jobs by investing in infrastructure and American manufacturing, continuing to update the health care system to ensure universal coverage, and making college more affordable for families and students. Jennifer Lopez Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Miami

On Saturday evening, Jennifer Lopez headlined a concert in support of Hillary Clinton in Miami, Florida. The event also included a performance by Marc Anthony. Lopez and Anthony performed a number of their hits for crowd. In between songs, the singers spoke about the importance of the election and electing Clinton president. Near the end of the concert, Clinton joined Lopez and Anthony on stage and urged everyone to vote on election day or to take advantage of early voting. She said, “We just heard Jennifer perform ‘Let’s Get Loud.’ Well, I say, ‘Let’s Get Loud’ at the voting booth. You can vote early. Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine Campaign in Pennsylvania

Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine campaigned together in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Their first event was in Pittsburgh where Kaine began by speaking about Clinton and their vision for the future. When Clinton took the stage, she had a populist tone speaking about a number of her key platform points including her plans to create jobs, invest in manufacturing jobs, raise the minimum wage, and her pledge to not raise taxes on middle class families. While she admitted that the campaign between her and Republican Donald Trump has been anything by calm, she hoped that everyone can come together after the election because we all have a stake in America’s future. “You probably know people who are thinking about voting for Donald Trump. I want you to tell them that I understand that they need a president who cares about them … and I want to be their president. Whether you vote for me or against me, I believe we can disagree without being disagreeable,” she added later. A video from the event is below.

Clinton and Kaine then traveled to Philadelphia where he spoke first about Clinton saying that despite what Trump says, he thinks that Clinton “looks damn presidential.” She then spoke to a crowd of over 7,000 supporters on a cool evening about the importance of the 2016 election and voting a Clinton-Kaine ticket to the White House, but she also stressed the importance of other down ballot races, especially the Pennsylvania race for Senate. She spoke about Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Katie McGinty and how she will work for Pennsylvanians in Congress. Clinton then urged everyone to vote on November 8th adding, “Friends don’t let friends vote Donald Trump.” A video from the rally is below.

Clinton and Kaine also spoke to reporters on board their plane between the events in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. They spoke about their focus during the last two weeks of the debate, and they react to a speech from Trump earlier in the day. Watch a video of the press briefing below.

Meanwhile, two fundraisers were held on behalf of Hillary for America. The first was in Durham, North Carolina and featured a conversation with actress Angela Bassett. In Long Beach, California, a fundraising event was held featuring a conversation with singer Cher.

Hillary Clinton’s Strong, Steady Approach to Global Challenges vs. Trump’s Dangerously Unserious Approach

The fifth topic on deck for this evening’s debate will address global challenges. Hillary Clinton’s steady leadership has made America stronger and safer on the world stage. As First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State, she has worked tirelessly to keep Americans safe and stay true to our values.  Conversely, Donald Trump’s dangerous national security proposals, lack of understanding of geopolitical realities, and reckless foreign policy rhetoric have been apparent throughout the campaign.

Hillary Clinton has laid out a comprehensive plan to defeat ISIS and keep Americans safe at home.  She understands that it’s not enough just to take out specific groups or leaders – we must have a comprehensive strategy to win the long game against the global terrorist network and its ideology. Former military leaders and top national security officials agree: Hillary is the right choice.

As president, Hillary will:

• Protect our homeland, including by surging our intelligence to ensure law enforcement has the information they need to detect and disrupt plots.
• Work with Silicon Valley to shut down terrorist propaganda and disrupt their recruitment efforts online.
• Keep guns out of the hands of suspected terrorists.
• Work with our allies to dismantle the global network that supplies money, arms, propaganda and fighters to the terrorists.
• Choke off the networks that facilitate their growth and expansion.
• Focus on eliminating the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
• Take out ISIS’s strongholds in the Middle East by intensifying the coalition air campaign, supporting our partners on the ground, and pursuing diplomacy to end Syria’s civil war and close Iraq’s sectarian divide, because those conflicts are keeping ISIS alive.
• Stand with our allies, rather than abandoning them.

Despite Trump’s claims that he has a “secret” plan to defeat ISIS, he has no real plan at all. And his rhetoric is dangerously playing into terrorists’ hands.

As president, Trump will:

• Watch “the shows” for military advice.
• Consult himself on foreign policy because, according to Trump, he has “a very good brain.”
• Allow new countries like Japan, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea to obtain nuclear weapons.
• Complement and prop up dictators like Vladimir Putinand Kim Jong-Un.
• “Ask [his] generals” for a plan to defeat ISIS, since he doesn’t currently have any plan at all.
• Continue to promote Russia’s brutal bombing campaign in Syria that is targeting civilians and the moderate opposition instead of ISIS.
• Allow Syria to become a “free zone for ISIS.”
• Ban Muslims from entering the U.S., a policy that feeds radical jihadist propaganda.

Engage in torture in the fight against ISIS and kill the families of terrorists.

Hillary Clinton Reviews the last Debate with Ellen

Hillary Clinton appeared on Friday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During the interview, DeGeneres asked Clinton a number of questions about the campaign and the second debate. DeGeneres specifically asked about Donald Trump’s habit of following Clinton around on the debate stage as she spoke and answered questions from audience members. She said, “I would just feel this presence behind me and I thought, ‘Whoa, this is really weird.’ So I was just trying to stay focused.” They also discussed Trump’s comments about women and First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech yesterday.
