Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Nevada Sunday

On Sunday, Hillary Clinton attended a number of events in Las Vegas throughout the day meeting with voters and gathering support for this weekend’s caucus. She started the day attending church services at Victory Missionary Baptist Church. She then stopped at a sandwich shop in Chinatown and met with works at Caesars Palace. She also met with Nevada Dreamers and concluded the day by hosting a public rally. At each of the events, she urged voters to support her and spoke about a number of topics including immigration reform, heath care, and clean energy. Regarding this weekend’s caucus she said, “Bring your friends, your neighbors your family, and I promise you I will work my heart out every single day.” A video from the day’s events will be posted when/if available.

Clinton Rallies Vegas Crowd

Following her strong Debate performance, Hillary Rodham Clinton remained in the Las Vegas area on Wednesday to attend a number of events. First, Clinton toured a training facility at the headquarters of Allied Trades and the International Union of Painters. The event in Henderson included Clinton taking some questions from the press. She then made a surprise stop at an ice cream shop in North Las Vegas. At La Flor de Michoacan, Clinton tried a number of ice cream flavors and was accompanied by state assemblyman Nelson Araujo.

In the evening, Clinton rallied a crowd of 2,500 at Springs Preserve. Clinton reviewed her platform and plans and focused on health care and immigration. She criticized Republicans for trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and she took aim at Donald Trump for his comments about women and immigration. Referring to Tuesday night’s debate, Clinton said, “I am thrilled that people finally got a chance to compare the Democrats to the Republicans. And I think we came out of that pretty well.” A video of her campaign rally is below.

Clinton Hosts Iowa Events

On Tuesday, Hillary Rodham Clinton hosted two events in the key swing state of Iowa. She began the day at a community forum in Davenport. During the event, Clinton spoke about heath care saying that more needed to be done to give Iowans and Americans more affordable choices. She also spoke about gun control and called for background checks, reducing higher education costs, and fighting poverty. She also criticized Jeb Bush for his “stuff happens” comment in regards to the mass shooting in Oregon. Bush was campaigning nearby Bettendorf. After speaking briefly, Clinton took questions from the crowd. Videos from the event in Davenport are below.

Following the event, Clinton took the the streets in Davenport where she met with voters and went shopping in a local market. Later in the day, Clinton attended an organizing event at the Strawberry Farm Bed and Breakfast in Muscatine. Clinton, again, spoke about her plans as president, but she took a moment to talk about her Republican rivals and their difficulty naming any of her accomplishments as Secretary of State in the recent Republican debate. So, she sent them each a copy of her book! She said, “You know, I hear the Republicans talking from time to time in their debates and elsewhere and they say things like, ‘Oh, I don’t know what she accomplished as Secretary of State. She didn’t accomplish anything.’ I listened to that for a while. And then I thought maybe they just don’t know, so I have now sent each of them a copy of my book, Hard Choices, about what we did during those four years.” She joked that there are enough candidates running on the Republican ticket that they could start a book club. She then went on to discuss a number of her accomplishments at the State Department.

Clinton Addresses Iran Deal in Iowa

On Sunday, Hillary Rodham Clinton returned to Iowa where she addressed a group of supporters at Uncle Nancy’s Coffee in Newton, Iowa. She said she is prepared to take on Republicans in the general election and addressed a number of platform topics including immigration. This evening, Clinton attended a private event in Cedar Rapids where she addressed comments made this morning on Fox News by former Vice President Dick Cheney. He claimed that Iran did not start developing nuclear weapons until President Barack Obama took office in 2009 (Cheney was corrected by Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace). Clinton disagreed saying, “Iran was on a pretty fast track toward a nuclear weapon when Barack Obama became president.”
