Tim Kaine returned to Florida on Saturday where he spoke about the importance of the election and Florida’s role on Tuesday. He urged everyone to vote because he wants Hillary Clinton to win Florida. Speaking on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Kaine outlined a number of Clinton’s key platform plans including raising the minimum wage, creating new jobs by investing in infrastructure and American manufacturing, and making college more affordable. Kaine concluded by asking everyone to vote adding, “This is my ninth race. I’m 8 and 0, and I’m not planning on losing Tuesday. Here’s what I tell myself in every race I every run: I’m the underdog until they call me the winner.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.
Kaine then spoke at a get out the vote event in Sarasota where he focused on the importance of early voting and defeating Donald Trump. He spoke about the dangers of the vision painted by Trump and offered Clinton’s platform as an optimistic alternative. Kaine said that Clinton has worked her entire life for families and children, and she will not stop once elected. He concluded the event by urging everyone to vote on Tuesday or to take advantage of early voting. “I’m going to just get to the punchline: If you win it in Florida, it’s won,” he said. Vice President Joe Biden returned to the campaign trail on Monday where he campaigned in support of Hillary Clinton in Florida. His first event was in Orlando where he spoke about Clinton and her plans to grow the economy and work with our foreign allies. He contrasted her style with Donald Trump’s calling Trump “dangerously uninformed.” He said that a number of foreign leaders are worried about the direction of the United States if Trump is elected, and Biden warned that everyone should because his presidency could have long reaching effects. He encouraged everyone to vote in November and register before the deadlines saying, “Bust your necks, folks, getting your friends to register to vote. It does matter. Biden then traveled to Sarasota where he spoke to supporters at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex. During his speech, Biden spoke about similar topics as he did in Orlando focusing on Clinton’s platform plans and proposals that would create jobs and ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity. On Friday, Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea Clinton were on the campaign trail and fundraising for Hillary for America. Chelsea was the only Clinton holding public events today. She began in Kentucky where she held an organizing event at the opening of the new Hillary for America office in Lexington. Chelsea addressed supporters who turned out to greet her saying that her mother is the best candidate for president because of her experience and her willingness to work with those who have good ideas, not just people who are a part of the Democratic Party. While in the area, Chelsea also attended a fundraiser in Frankfort that was hosted by Jennifer A. Moore and The Honorable Crit Luallen and Lynn Luallen.
Chelsea then traveled to Indiana where she spoke with supporters at the Hillary for Indiana office in Indianapolis. She spoke about Hillary’s plans to continue the improvement of the health care system and the expansion of early childhood education. As a mother, and a mother to be, Chelsea said that she believes that Hillary is the best candidate for her children’s future. She spoke about her mother’s experience saying, “… it really matters to me that my mom is the only person running for president who has a strong record in being able to deliver progress in areas like healthcare reform and education reform and women’s rights and human rights that she doesn’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good, that she’s willing to work with whomever she needs to work with to be able to get the job done.” While in Indianapolis, Chelsea attended a fundraiser hosted by Senator Evan Bayh, Susan Bayh, and Melina Kennedy.
Bill was in Florida where he attended a series of fundraisers. The first was in Tallahassee and was hosted at the home of Allison Tant and Barry Richard. The second event was in Sarasota and hosted by Nancy Parrish. The final event of his was was in Heathrow and hosted by John Morgan.
Hillary fundraised in New York where she began at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Then, she attended a fundraiser in Queens that included a conversation with Congressman Joe Crowley and Congresswoman Grace Meng. As with all fundraisers, they were closed to the press.

On Friday, Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan attended a number of events across the country in support of Hillary Clinton. Bill began in Kansas City, Missouri, making up for an appearance he had to previously cancel due to weather. Speaking at the Kansas City Carpenters Union Training Facility, Bill spoke about Hillary’s experience and her plans to build upon progress that has already been made. He criticized Hillary’s Democratic rival Bernie Sanders for wanting to scrap health care and start over saying, “It’s a lot easier to go from 90 to 100 than it is to go from zero to 100.” A video from his speech is below.
Bill then traveled to Springfield, Missouri for a rally at the Teamsters Hall. During his speech, he said that it was great to be back in the Ozarks, where he and Hillary were married in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Bill said that Hillary is the best qualified candidate running for either party, and she will make sure everyone has a change in America. Bill rounded out the day at a Get Out the Vote event in Peoria, Illinois. During his speech, Clinton spoke about Hillary’s plans to boost manufacturing and build on heath care. At one point, Bill was interrupted by a protester. The protester left after shouting above the crowd to which Bill said, “I listened to you, why won’t you stay and listen to me?” He then continued to talk about Hillary’s plans to reduce higher education costs and help those currently paying off student debt.
Chelsea spent the day attending events across the state of Florida as they gear up to vote in the Democratic primary on March 15. She began the day in Tallahassee where she spoke at two separate events. During each of the events, Chelsea spoke about her mom’s record and experience and called the 2016 election “the most important presidential election in my lifetime.” She criticized Republicans for their proposed policies saying, “The racism, the sexism, the Islamophobia, the homophobia, the anti-immigrant rhetoric, the anti-workers rhetoric … it is an almost endless list. And then the policy ideas that flow from that – to build a wall, to expel 11 or 12 million people who are here working hard for lives of dignity and opportunity and promise for themselves and their families, to keep a list of every American Muslim. We need a president to stand up and protect our values.”
Chelsea then attended events in Sarasota and St. Petersburg. At each of the events she, again, spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and how it will have ripple effects on the economy and Supreme Court. She also spoke about Hillary’s plans to build upon the progress of the last eight years and improve heath care, address gun violence, and make a college education more affordable. She said, “Clearly we don’t live in a single issue country and we need a president that understands that as President Obama certainly does.” A video from the St. Petersburg event is available on C-SPAN.
In California, Kwan attended three fundraisers. The first was in San Jose, then Kwan headed to Oakland for an event hosted by Assemblymember Rob Bonta, Sonia Delen, Andy Duong, Dr. Rollington Ferguson, and Zach Wasserman. The final event of the day was a fundraiser in San Francisco. Kwan met with a number of female lawyers at the event hosted by Sara Brody, Lindsay Carlson, Lauri Damrell, Lisa Gilford, Gay Gunfeld, Valerie McGinty, Drucilla Ramey, Ann Patterson.
