Chelsea Clinton campaigned for her mother in Aurora, Colorado on Tuesday where she spoke with supporters about Hillary Clinton’s blueprint for America. Chelsea discussed her mother’s plans to create new jobs by investing in American manufacturing and infrastructure, reducing gun violence by introducing mandatory background checks, and expanding access to mental health care. At the beginning of her speech, Chelsea was briefly interrupted by protesters, but she simply responded, “Love trumps hate, and we’re going to prove that November 8.” She concluded by asking everyone to vote. On Friday, Bill Clinton campaigned for Hillary Clinton in Ohio at events in Delaware and Cincinnati. At both events, Bill focused on the issues and Hillary’s plans to held grow the economy and support the middle class. In Delaware, Bill was interrupted by protestors which led him to address anger. He said that he understand why people are mad at the political system, but he explained that anger may feel good, but it does not achieve results. “Anger and resentment and conflict may win a lot of attention, but it won’t put a single soul to work, it won’t save a single life in a complicated world, it won’t give a single person … a chance to fulfill their dreams,” he said. Chelsea Clinton was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she attended two events. Her first event was a Women for Hillary event where she spoke about Hillary’s plans to ensure equal pay for women and paid family leave. She also spoke about the hateful rhetoric being spewed by Donald Trump, and in particular his comments about women. “I never thought I would see in lifetime the type of rhetoric we’ve heard from Donald Trump and his campaign. We have to stand against the normalization of hate speech,” she said. Chelsea then answered questions from those in attendance.
Chelsea then spoke at the University of Pittsburgh where she focused on Hillary’s plans to reduce student loan interest rates for those currently repaying student loans, making public college tuition free for families making less than $125,000 per year, and ensuring equal rights for women and the LGBTQ community. Meanwhile, in Dublin, Ireland, a fundraiser was held on behalf of Hillary for America. The event was only open to American citizens and featured a conversation with Elizabeth Frawley Bagley.
Today, Bill Clinton continued his bus tour in Iowa with stops in Mount Vernon and Davenport. At his first event in Mount Vernon, Bill spoke with supporters on the campus of Cornell College. He focused on the issues saying that we, as a country, can do better than Donald Trump, and that his message is divisive at a time when we need more unity. Bill continued saying that the “us versus them” mentality is not productive. He urged everyone to vote on November 8th because this election will set the tone for the country for the next four years. Bill wrapped up his bus tour in Iowa at an event in Davenport. During the event, Bill was interrupted by protestors and Trump supporters that were removed by local police. He responded to the protests by criticizing Trump’s message saying, “If you serve poison for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a year and a half, somebody’s going to drink it and give it back.” Bill then continued with his usual campaign speech in which he outlined Hillary’s platform points and an optimistic view of the future. “You want to elect somebody President who believes everybody’s got a story. Everybody deserves human dignity. Everybody deserves a chance to live their dreams. We all do better when we work together,” he said. Videos from the events will be posted when/if available.
Chelsea Clinton spoke with supporters at an organizing event on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono, Maine. Chelsea outlined her mother’s plan for the United States and her focus on economic equality. She said that she understands the anger with the current political system, but that Hillary will fight for those who need a voice. “I’m really proud that she does sweat the details, even though her opponent criticizes her for being too prepared. Because if it’s your child or your family or the future of our planet those are (important) details, so I’m so proud of my mom and of her campaign and even more her life of work and advocacy, because this election is about our future but it’s ultimately about our values.” A video of Chelsea’s speech is below.

Meanwhile, two fundraisers were held on behalf of Hillary for America today. The first was in San Francisco, California and featured a conversation with Hillary Clinton. The event also featured a performance by Andra Day. In Boston, Massachusetts, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and special guests Lynn Whitfield and Ayanna Pressley spoke at an African Americans for Hillary event.
On Friday, Donald Trump, again, suggested violence against Hillary Clinton. Hillary for America Campaign Manager Robby Mook released the following statement in response.
“Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for President, has a pattern of inciting people to violence. Whether this is done to provoke protesters at a rally or casually or even as a joke, it is an unacceptable quality in anyone seeking the job of Commander in Chief. This kind of talk should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate, just like it should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate to peddle a conspiracy theory about the President of the United States for five years. But we’ve seen again and again that no amount of failed resets can change who Donald Trump is. He is unfit to be President and it is time Republican leaders stand up to denounce this disturbing behavior in their nominee.”
On Sunday, Bill Clinton campaigned for Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles. He began by attending Sunday morning church services at First African Methodist Episcopal Church where he also joined the congregation for breakfast. Bill then spoke at the Boys and Girls Clubs of East Los Angeles. During his speech, he talked about the importance of the 2016 election and why Hillary is the best choice to keep moving the country forward. He spoke about a number of Hillary’s key platform points including health care, the economy, and immigration reform. He then urged voters to vote in Tuesday’s primary and vote for Hillary. Later, Bill spoke at a Get Out the Vote rallies at Mariachi Plaza and Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center. During each of the events, Bill focused on Hillary’s major platform points and targeted Republican nominee Donald Trump. At one event, he was interrupted by protestors, but he kept addressing the supporters. Referring to the protestors, he said, “They say everybody who disagrees with them is a part of some nefarious establishment. Well it’s a pretty big establishment.” Bill continues to focus on smaller local rallies as he meets with supporters. He concluded each event by asking for the support of voters. In the evening, Bill attended a fundraiser in support of the Hillary Victory Fund in Los Gatos.
On Friday, Bill Clinton spoke at an organizing event in Erie, Pennsylvania where he spoke about Hillary’s platform and the importance of the 2016 election. During his speech, he also addressed the way he reacted to protesters during a speech yesterday in Philadelphia. He said, “I did something yesterday in Philadelphia I almost want to apologize for. I realized, finally, I was talking past her the way she was talking past me. We gotta stop that in this country. On Thursday, Bill Clinton held two organizing events in Pennsylvania. The first was in Philadelphia where he spoke about Hillary’s experience and plans to continue growing the economy, improving heath care, and making sure everyone has an equal opportunity. Toward the end of his speech, Bill was interrupted by protesters and he engaged them for over ten minutes, but they continued to shout over his answers to their questions and concern prompting him to respond, “I like protesters, but the ones that won’t let you answer are afraid of the truth.”
Bill then spoke at an event in Scranton. Speaking at Scranton High School, Bill focused on Hillary’s platform and her plans to continue the progress of the last eight years. He said, “If you want to do something to make America better, you ought to pick the best change-maker with the best ideas, the best preparation, the best job at this time. If that’s the test, it’s not close. You know her here. You’ve been good to her here. You’ve been good to me here.” Videos from today’s events will be posted when/if available.
In Texas, Chelsea Clinton attended three fundraisers on behalf of Hillary for America. The first was in El Paso where she attended an event hosted by Governor Carlos Hisa. Clinton then attended a fundraiser in San Antonio. The event was held at the home of Jennifer and Saul Perloff. Her final event of the day was in Dallas where she attended an event at the home of Julie Johnson and Sue Moster. Meanwhile, in New York, De’Ara Balenger, Director of Engagement, attended a fundraiser at Artspace.
On Monday evening, Hillary Rodham Clinton surprised a crowd of protesters when she joined in. The Culinary Workers Union is protesting the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, a hotel that is owned by Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump. Clinton seized on the opportunity to criticize her opponent saying, “You have a right to safe working conditions, you have a right to a living wage, and you have to say yes to all of that and you have to say no to efforts to prevent you from organizing and that means saying no to Donald Trump.” A video from her remarks to the crowd is below.
