Hillary Clinton Addresses AIPAC

On Monday morning, Hillary Clinton addressed the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) where she pledged her support for Israel if elected president. She said, “America can’t ever be neutral when it comes to Israel’s security and survival.” Her comments were in direct opposition from those of Republican front-runner Donald Trump, who has not appeared to be as friendly toward Israel. Clinton assured Israelis that with her at the helm, Israel would would have the full support of the United States, and she would continue to supply Israel militarily, combat anti-Semitism, ensure Iran holds to its end of the recent nuclear agreement, and continue to combat Iranian proxies such as Hezbollah.

Her address has been criticized by some as pandering, but Clinton made it clear that she would continue President Barack Obama’s stance toward Israel while defending the nuclear agreement with Iran. Republican presidential candidates Trump, Ted Cruz, and John Kasich were all scheduled to address AIPAC today as well. Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders did not attend the event, but focused on Tuesday’s primaries instead. A full video of Clinton’s speech is below and a transcript is available HERE.

Clinton then went to Phoenix, Arizona for a rally before tomorrow’s primary. During her speech at Carl Hayden Community High School, Clinton talked about a number of her platform points including heath care, added assistance for small businesses, and immigration reform. She also spent part of speech talking about the current political environment. She vowed to work with Republicans and Democrats alike if elected president saying, “I don’t remember anything like this. I will do anything we can to find a common ground. Anger is not a strategy.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.

On Wednesday, a number of events in support of Hillary Clinton were held across the country. In the Midwest, Chelsea Clinton attended events in Kansas and Nebraska. She began the day by attending a Get Out the Vote event in Overland Park. During her speech, Chelsea spoke about her mother’s experience and her dedication to protecting women’s rights, voter rights, and LGBT rights. She also spoke about Hillary’s experience with compromise saying, “I do believe we fundamentally need a president who knows when to stand her ground, but also does know how to find common ground.” While in Overland Park, Chelsea also attended a fundraiser at the home of Jackie and Lynn Johnson.

Chelsea wrapped up the day at a Get Out the Caucus event in Omaha, Nebraska. During the event, she framed her mother as a political realist who knows how to stand up for what she believes in, but knows how to compromise. Her speech was similar to one that she gave earlier in the day in Overland Park, Kansas. Chelsea asked those in attendance for their support in the upcoming caucus on March 5.

Bill Clinton campaigned on behalf of Hillary in New York City. He attended three fundraisers beginning with an event hosted by Bal Das, Valérie Demont, and Seema Hingorani. The second event of the day was held at Brooklyn Bowl. The final event was held at the home of John Fitzpatrick. As with all private events, they were closed to the public.

In Texas, Hillary for America Director of Policy Outreach Ed Meier hosted a fundraiser in Austin. The event is part of a series hosted by Hillary for America covering a number of platform topics.

In her brief remarks, Clinton praised Balz and praised the namesake of the award, Robin Toner. Toner was the first female national political reporter for the New York Times. Clinton joked about her pas relationship with press, but she knows that she will need them on her side when she announces her campaign. She described her relationship with the media as “complicated” at times, but she said, “Those of us on the other side are not always going to be happy about whatever it is you do, but we do understand in our more rational moments that is your job. And we and our democracy depend on you.”

Happy New Year!

131213181355-cupp-hillary-clinton-bankers-story-topHappy New Year and welcome to the updated Hillary Clinton Speeches!

It appears that 2015 is going to be an important year for Hillary Rodham Clinton and her supporters. With a 2016 presidential run announcement expected early in the year, everyone will be watching Clinton’s scheduled speeches in early 2015.

While everyone seems to be looking forward to 2015, 2014 was a very important year for Clinton. She returned to the political spectrum during the 2014 mid-term elections. While the Democrats had a rough year, Clinton was out in the field supporting Democratic candidates and making speeches that sounded more political in nature.

Another major story from 2014 was the release of Clinton’s memoir, Hard Choices. Released in June, the book quickly made the New York Times Bestsellers list. The book picked up where her first memoir, Living History, left off and primarily focused on her years as Secretary of State. Along with the release of Hard Choices, Clinton completed a book tour which included 47 appearances on television and in local bookstores.

The final story of the year was Clinton’s speech blitz. Over the course of 2014, Clinton delivered speeches for church groups, business organizations, colleges, and more from coast to coast, plus in the United States and Canada. This year, she made a total of 102 speeches and appearances (that were open to the public and not counting appearances for Hard Choices), and you can see an outline of the speeches on our 2014 page.

Finally, I want to thank everyone for reading the site and following along as Clinton, possibly, embarks on the next chapter of her political career. This year, Hillary Clinton Speeches recorded over 20,000 views, and the stats continue to grow. Thank you for following the site in 2014, and we will keep reporting into 2015 and beyond!
