Vice President Joe Biden campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. During his speech at Chatham University, Biden spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and electing Clinton and other Democrats to office across the country and especially in the United States Senate. He spoke about Clinton’s blueprint for America and how it is starkly different from the vision presented by Republican Donald Trump. While Biden spent quite a bit of his speech criticizing Trump, he also expressed his optimism for America’s future. “I am more optimistic about the prospects for America today than I have ever been in my life. We are on the cusp of being able to do some things that we haven’t been able to do since World War II, if we just have some confidence in ourselves,” he said. Chelsea Clinton campaigned on behalf of mother today in Wisconsin. Chelsea spoke at events in La Crosse, Stevens Point, and Madison, and at each, she focused on the importance of voting because this election will have a profound impact on everyone’s future, and as a mother, electing Donald Trump concerns her. “Whomever we elect to replace President Obama will help shape the future for my children and your children and grandchildren,” she said. She spoke about a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points including her plans to promote economic growth, create jobs, raise the minimum wage, and make college more affordable. Chelsea concluded each event by urging everyone to vote and to take advantage of the early voting available in the state. Vice President Joe Biden campaigned for Hillary Clinton today in Ohio. He made a surprise stop in Cleveland where he spoke with volunteers before heading off to his first event in Toledo. In Toledo, he spoke about the importance of defeating Donald Trump and electing Clinton president. He outlined a number of her policy points and her focus on the middle class. Biden also spoke about the importance of electing down ballot Democrats and ensuring that Clinton had good Senators and Representatives to work with in Congress. Biden then traveled to Dayton where he spoke to a crowd of supporters about the presidential election and how Trump has made the election less about issues and more about personalities. “Trump has so dumbed-down this election. It’s been so outrageous we’ve not covered any of the issues basically. That’s what elections are all about.” Speaking at Sinclair Community College, Biden encouraged everyone to get out and vote on November 8th. A video from the event will be added when/if available.
President Barack Obama returned to the campaign trail on Sunday and spoke at a Democratic Party rally in Las Vegas, Nevada. During his speech, Obama blasted Republican Donald Trump for his rhetoric and refusal to accept the results of the election should he lose. Obama encouraged everyone to vote for Hillary Clinton because she has a clear plan, and, as he put it, “We can’t afford the other guy.” Obama also spoke about the importance of voting for Democratic candidates in other races down the ballot as well, especially in the Senate. He urged those in attendance to support candidate Catherine Cortez Masto because she will fight for them in the Senate and work with Clinton to ensure that important work is done. He summed up his speech by asking everyone to vote on November 8th and to take advantage of early voting. “I need everybody here to not just vote yourselves, but you’ve got to get your friends, your neighbors, your cousins to vote,” he said. Hillary Clinton returned to North Carolina on Sunday where she spoke at a Sunday morning church service and two campaign events. At each of the events, she appeared with Mothers of the Movement, a group of women who have lost children as a the result of gun violence. She began this morning in Durham where spoke at Union Baptist Church. Clinton spoke about the importance of reducing violence, reforming the criminal justice system, and working to end the racial divide in our country. A video of Clinton’s remarks is below.
Clinton spoke to a crowd of supporters at St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh about her plans as president, but she also turned the focus of her message away from herself and on candidates running for office down ballot. She spoke about the importance of electing Democratic Senate candidate Deborah Ross in North Carolina, and Clinton encouraged voters to support Ross in addition to supporting her and Tim Kaine on November 8th. Clinton then traveled to Charlotte where she spoke to a group of supporters at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. During her speech, Clinton went after Donald Trump for his pledge to not accept the results of the election saying that he is a “direct threat to our democracy.” Clinton then spoke about a number of her key platform proposals including a plan to invest in the infrastructure, increasing investments in the economy, and her plan to make college affordable for everyone. Clinton said that she understands that not everyone supports her and there will be people that vote for Trump, but she wants to be a president for everyone. “I want to be the president for every American – Democrats, Republicans, independents. We have to bring this country together. We have to have everyone pulling in the same direction. I understand some people are angry, but anger is not a plan,” she said. Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine campaigned together in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Their first event was in Pittsburgh where Kaine began by speaking about Clinton and their vision for the future. When Clinton took the stage, she had a populist tone speaking about a number of her key platform points including her plans to create jobs, invest in manufacturing jobs, raise the minimum wage, and her pledge to not raise taxes on middle class families. While she admitted that the campaign between her and Republican Donald Trump has been anything by calm, she hoped that everyone can come together after the election because we all have a stake in America’s future. “You probably know people who are thinking about voting for Donald Trump. I want you to tell them that I understand that they need a president who cares about them … and I want to be their president. Whether you vote for me or against me, I believe we can disagree without being disagreeable,” she added later. A video from the event is below.
Clinton and Kaine then traveled to Philadelphia where he spoke first about Clinton saying that despite what Trump says, he thinks that Clinton “looks damn presidential.” She then spoke to a crowd of over 7,000 supporters on a cool evening about the importance of the 2016 election and voting a Clinton-Kaine ticket to the White House, but she also stressed the importance of other down ballot races, especially the Pennsylvania race for Senate. She spoke about Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Katie McGinty and how she will work for Pennsylvanians in Congress. Clinton then urged everyone to vote on November 8th adding, “Friends don’t let friends vote Donald Trump.” A video from the rally is below.

Meanwhile, two fundraisers were held on behalf of Hillary for America. The first was in Durham, North Carolina and featured a conversation with actress Angela Bassett. In Long Beach, California, a fundraising event was held featuring a conversation with singer Cher.
Musicians Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus hit the campaign trail in support of Hillary Clinton on Saturday. At George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, Cyrus went door-to-door in Piedmont Hall and met with students and urged them to vote for Clinton on November 8th or to take advantage of early voting. During the primary, Cyrus was a supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders and she has been working to get Sanders supporters to back Clinton for president.
Meanwhile, Perry was in Las Vegas, Nevada where she spent the afternoon on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. She began by knocking on dorm doors and asking students to vote for Clinton. Perry stuck around for an early voting event held on the campus. During the event, Perry spoke about the importance of voting and electing Clinton president, but also the importance of electing Democrats down ballot into office as well saying, “We got a crew. We got a clique. We all run together.” Perry then introduced Democratic US Senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto who spoke to the crowd about the election and urged the them to vote on November 8th. On Saturday, Bill Clinton continued his bus tour in Florida with his first event in Panama City. During his speech, Bill spoke about Hillary Clinton’s plans and optimism for the America’s future. Bill said that while Republican Donald Trump seems to be wanting to return America to the past, Hillary has a plan to ensure that America continues to grow into the future. A plan that involves investment in the United States’ infrastructure, economy, and the American people. He said that the difference between the two campaigns is attitude…one is positive and optimistic while the other is negative, but it will be important for both sides to come together following the election. “I want you to show one difference between our campaign and the other campaign. I don’t think they like us very much, but I want you to go to them and say, ‘We want you to be part of America’s future, too. We need you.’” Watch a video of Bill’s speech below.
Bill then traveled to Pensacola where he continued his focus on Hillary’s optimistic blueprint for America, one that invests in America’s future and not just those at the top. Bill said that Hillary has a plan to create new jobs and ensure that the middle class has an opportunity to grow. On Friday, Hillary Clinton returned to the campaign trail with an event in Cleveland, Ohio. Clinton did reference Wednesday night’s debate saying that her three debates with Donald Trump more than prove that she has the stamina to be president. Speaking at Cuyahoga Community College, Clinton focused on her plans to help the middle class and ensure that everyone in America has an equal opportunity. She also addressed Trump’s refusal to say that he would accept the outcome of the election saying, “Make no mistake, by doing that, he is threatening our democracy. We know in our country the difference between leadership and dictatorship. The peaceful transition of power is one of the things that sets us apart.” She concluded by talking about what winning Ohio would mean to hear and urged everyone to take advantage of early voting or to vote on November 8th saying, “I want to earn your vote.” A video of Clinton’s speech is below.
