On Thursday, Chelsea Clinton attended a fundraiser in Washington, DC on behalf of Hillary Clinton and Hillary for America. The fundraiser included a number of high profile Democrats including Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator Cory Booker, Congressman Joaquín Castro, and Congressman Joe Kennedy III. As with all private events, the fundraiser was closed to the press.

This morning, Chelsea Clinton spoke with a group of Hillary Clinton’s supporters in Omaha, Nebraska. During the event, Chelsea spoke about her mother’s experience and her platform. But she took some time to speak about her mother on a more personal level. She said that the is surprised when the media characterizes Hillary as “cold.” Chelsea said, “I’ve seen her be supportive and loving to my friends my whole life. She was always the mother my friends came to, to talk about the tragedy of the boyfriend who just broke up with them, or ask for advice applying for college.”
Hillary spent the morning in Minnesota where she visited with supporters at Mapps Coffee and Tea in Minneapolis. She asked voters to support her in today’s primary saying, “We are working hard everywhere, and I know it is hard. All we can do is hope people turn out for the primaries and the caucuses and we just want to do as well as we can.” During her stop, Clinton also took questions from reporters and she was asked about a number of topics including her thoughts on Super Tuesday and the controversy with Donald Trump not distancing himself after he was endorsed by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. On Monday, Bill and Chelsea Clinton campaigned for Hillary in several states that hold their primaries tomorrow. Chelsea kicked off the day at a Get Out the Caucus event in Duluth, where she was joined by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton. Chelsea spoke about the importance of the 2016 election, especially for the for the Supreme Court. “If you look at the age of the justices on the Supreme Court and the average age of retirement, the next president could appoint one, two or even another three justices to the Supreme Court,” she said. Chelsea also spoke about a number of her mother’s platform points including gun control, higher education, voting rights, and the economy.
Chelsea’s final event of the day was a Get Out the Caucus rally in Lincoln, Nebraska. During the event, Chelsea spoke about her mother’s experience the what is at stake for the next president, especially in regards to the Supreme Court. She explained, “I think we need a president that understands that we don’t live in a single issue country and that we can’t treat the Supreme Court as a single issue institution.” A video from the event will be posted when/if available.
Bill spent the eve of Super Tuesday in Texas where he attended three Get Out the Vote events. The first event was in Houston where he spoke to a crowd of supporters at the Buffalo Soldiers Museum. During his speech, Bill shifted his message from contrasting Hillary from her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders, to contrasting her with her Republicans rivals. He said, “When Republicans say they’ll make America great again, we never stopped being great, but we need to be made whole again.”
The second stop for Bill came at Tarrant County College’s Trinity River campus in Forth Worth. During the event, he spoke about his wife’s experience and her plans to improve heath care, reduce the cost of higher education, and continue to grow the economy. He asked supporters to vote for Hillary in tomorrow’s Texas primary saying that she is the best qualified candidate to be president.
Bill’s final stop was in San Antonio where he spoke at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Theatre. During the event, he spoke about immigration reform and criticized Republicans for their proposals making it more difficult to attain American citizenship. Bill also spoke about Hillary’s plans to improve America as a whole and not only focus on the wealthy class. He said, “The reason Hillary should be president is because she wants us to all rise together.” Videos from today’s events will be posted when/if available.

On Wednesday, a number of events in support of Hillary Clinton were held across the country. In the Midwest, Chelsea Clinton attended events in Kansas and Nebraska. She began the day by attending a Get Out the Vote event in Overland Park. During her speech, Chelsea spoke about her mother’s experience and her dedication to protecting women’s rights, voter rights, and LGBT rights. She also spoke about Hillary’s experience with compromise saying, “I do believe we fundamentally need a president who knows when to stand her ground, but also does know how to find common ground.” While in Overland Park, Chelsea also attended a fundraiser at the home of Jackie and Lynn Johnson.
Chelsea wrapped up the day at a Get Out the Caucus event in Omaha, Nebraska. During the event, she framed her mother as a political realist who knows how to stand up for what she believes in, but knows how to compromise. Her speech was similar to one that she gave earlier in the day in Overland Park, Kansas. Chelsea asked those in attendance for their support in the upcoming caucus on March 5.
Bill Clinton campaigned on behalf of Hillary in New York City. He attended three fundraisers beginning with an event hosted by Bal Das, Valérie Demont, and Seema Hingorani. The second event of the day was held at Brooklyn Bowl. The final event was held at the home of John Fitzpatrick. As with all private events, they were closed to the public.
In Texas, Hillary for America Director of Policy Outreach Ed Meier hosted a fundraiser in Austin. The event is part of a series hosted by Hillary for America covering a number of platform topics.

Today in Omaha, Nebraska, Hillary Clinton received the endorsement of billionaire investor Warren Buffet. He introduced Clinton during an event held at Sokol Auditorium where she gave a speech outlining part of her tax plan, including her support of the Buffett Rule. The proposed Buffett Rule would set a minimum tax rate on individuals making over one million dollars a year. With the loopholes of the tax system, many who making over $250,000 a year pay a lower percentage in taxes than someone making significantly less. Clinton said that her agenda would increase taxes on the wealthy to ensure they pay their fair share while cutting taxes for the middle class. She also outlined a number of tax credits that would be made available for heath care and care for the elderly. Clinton said, “I want to be the president for the struggling, the striving and the successful.” A video of Buffett’s introduction and Clinton’s speech is below.

At an event held on the campus University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Hillary Clinton outlined her plan to prevent jihadist recruitment and radicalization. Her plan consists of five parts:
Stop ISIS recruitment in the United States, especially online
Prevent would-be jihadists from getting training overseas, and prevent foreign terrorists from coming to the United States
Discover and disrupt terror plots before they can be carried out
Support law enforcement officers
Empower Muslim-American communities to fight radicalization
Clinton also called for a measure that would prevent people on the no-fly list from buying a gun. She said, “They’ll [Republicans] say that guns are a totally separate issue – nothing to do with terrorism. I have news for them. Terrorists use guns to kill Americans, and I think we should make it a lot harder for them to ever do that again.” Today’s proposals are in addition to her plans to defeat ISIS, which she laid out last month. Yesterday, Hillary Rodham Clinton unveiled her energy plan after coming out against the Keystone XL Pipeline earlier this week. In a blog post on Medium, Clinton announced her plan to make the United States “the clean energy superpower of the 21st century”. Her plan calls for a series of infrastructure improvements including repairing and replacing outdated oil and gas lines, increase safety of railroad transpiration, and enhancing the security of the current energy grid. She is also calling for new resources including a National Infrastructure Bank, grants, accelerated federal investment, and innovation. She is also proposing the creation of a North American Climate Compact to encourage the US, Canada, and Mexico to work together to reduce their impact on the environment and combat climate change. When I was secretary of state, the department began reviewing an application to build a pipeline that would bring Canadian oil sands crude across the border, run more than a thousand miles through the American heartland, and terminate in Nebraska — Keystone XL.
As the secretary who initiated the review, I refrained from commenting on the pipeline after I left the federal government. I didn’t want to get ahead of President Obama while the process was still underway — because the decision was and is his to make.
Since the application was filed, the effects of climate change have grown more acute. More than 8 million acres have burned in the United States so far this wildfire season. California is in the fourth year of a historic drought scientists say has been made worse by climate change. More severe storms and extreme heat waves have wreaked havoc around the world.
I have come to feel I can’t stay silent on an issue that matters so much to so many. Though I wanted to give the president space to make a decision, the process has taken far longer than I expected. I want the American people to know where I stand. That’s why I am making it clear:
I am opposed to the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
We shouldn’t be building a pipeline dedicated to moving North America’s dirtiest fuel through our communities — we should be focused on what it will take to make America the clean energy superpower of the 21st century. For too long, the Keystone XL pipeline has been a distraction from the real challenges facing our energy sector — and the job-creating investments that we should be making to meet them. Building a clean, secure, and affordable North American energy future is bigger than Keystone XL or any other single project. That’s what I will focus on as president.
That’s why today I am announcing a comprehensive strategy to modernize American energy infrastructure and forge a new partnership with Canada and Mexico to combat climate change across the continent, unleashing billions in investment, delivering reliable and affordable energy, protecting the health of our families and communities, and creating good-paying jobs and careers.
The United States trades as much energy with Canada and Mexico each year as with all other countries combined, through a deeply integrated pipeline network, rail system, and electrical grid. As President, I will immediately launch negotiations with Canada and Mexico to forge a North American Climate Compact that sets strong national targets to cut carbon pollution, so all three countries demonstrate a commitment to climate action; provides accountability measures, so each country has confidence that the others are living up to their end of the bargain; and creates certainty for investors and confidence in the future of our climate, so we can all marshal resources equal to the challenges we face.
In recent years, American communities have endured toxic pipeline spills and rail car explosions. We have yet to harness new technologies that reduce costs and increase consumer choice or to sufficiently protect the grid against the growing threat of cyber-attack. Even as states and the Obama administration have worked to accelerate clean energy deployment, we need to do more. Simply put, our infrastructure has not kept pace with the changing energy sector.
To help unleash the investment we need, I will create a national infrastructure bank that leverages public and private capital, and work with Congress to close corporate tax loopholes and increase transportation funding to cut commute times, oil consumption, and pollution. Along with my Clean Energy Challenge to boost low-carbon electricity, improve building efficiency, and make our cars and trucks cheaper to fuel and cleaner to operate, these steps will create jobs and opportunity across the country.
Our more than 2 million miles of oil and natural gas pipes are in disrepair, resulting in oil spills, chronic methane leaks, and even devastating explosions. I will strengthen national pipeline safety regulations and partner with pipeline operators, local regulators, and technology providers in repairing and replacing thousands of miles of the country’s oldest pipes.
Over the past five years, a 20-fold increase in the amount of oil shipped by rail has led to devastating accidents. My plan speeds up the retirement of the oldest and riskiest train cars, repairs track defects, and guarantees first responders and the public have better information about oil and hazardous materials passing through their communities.
We must also invest in grid security and resilience. My plan creates a new threat assessment team to improve coordination and protect our grid from cyberattack, and strengthens the grid to reliably and affordably meet both base load and peak demand.
American energy policy is about more than a single pipeline to transport Canada’s dirtiest fuel across our country. It’s about building our future — a future where the United States will once again lead the world by constructing state-of-the-art infrastructure, creating new jobs and new markets, accelerating the transition to a clean energy economy, and improving the health, safety, and security of all Americans.
