Hillary Clinton Addresses NABJ and NAHJ Joint Convention

On Friday, Hillary Clinton addressed the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) Joint Convention in Washington, DC. During her speech, Clinton spoke about the importance of the press in the 2016 election, especially as Republican Donald Trump has limited press involvement in his campaign and pulled credentials from publications that are critical of him. Clinton said, “Now I think journalists have a special responsibility to our democracy in a time like this. It’s a badge of honor when Jorge Ramos gets thrown out of press conference for challenging Donald Trump. Or when another news organization gets banned for reporting what he says.” Clinton also answered questions posed by several reporters while she was on stage. A number of topics were covered including the election and the FBI’s investigation into her emails. A video from the event is below.
