Hillary Clinton in Philadelphia and Bridgeport on Sunday

Today, Hillary Clinton was in Pennsylvania and Connecticut where she met with church goers and potential voters in Tuesday’s primaries. She began in Philadelphia where she spoke at church services at Triumph Baptist Church and African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas. At both churches, Clinton spoke about her plans to seek criminal justice reform and fight the gun lobby by introducing stronger gun regulations. She said, “We as a people have to start showing each other more respect, more kindness more love.” She spoke briefly about the importance of the 2016 election and asked for the support of voters in Tuesday’s primary.

Clinton then traveled to Bridgeport, Connecticut, the largest city in the state. Speaking at the University of Bridgeport, she talked about continuing the progress of the administration of President Barack Obama. She then covered a number of platform topics including health care, gun control, raising the minimum wage, and reducing the cost of higher education. She believes that America’s best day are still ahead of it saying, “I’m going to do everything I can to make sure America’s best years are ahead of us. Bill Clinton was in Baltimore, Maryland where he attended Sunday morning services at three local churches. At each, he spoke about Hillary’s platform and her plans to move America forward. Today, Bill also attended a fundraiser in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. The event was hosted by Barbara and Richard Schiffrin.

Other Hillary for America fundraisers were held across the country today. In Bry Mawr, Pennsylvania, a fundraiser was held featuring New Jersey Senator Cory Booker. Meanwhile, in Seattle, Washington, a fundraiser was hosted by John and Nancy Sabol, Daniel James Brown, Pam Eakes, and Jeanne Kohl-Welles. The event featured a conversation with Daniel James Brown, the author of The Boys in the Boat.

Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Connecticut, Rhode Island

On Saturday, Hillary Clinton spent the day in Connecticut and Rhode Island. In New Haven, Connecticut, Clinton held a rountable event that focused on working families. The primary topics of discussion were ways to raise wages, including the minimum wage, promote early childhood education, and reduce the wage gap between men and women. On the topic of equal pay, she said, “Equal pay — we shouldn’t be talking about it in 2016. It is almost embarrassing.” Clinton has returned to holding smaller conversational campaign events as she rallies supporters for next week’s primaries in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Clinton then rallied supporters at an organizing event in Central Falls, Rhode Island. During her speech, Clinton spoke about a number of platform topics including women’s rights, organized labor, health care, immigration reform, gun control, and climate change. She also took a shot at her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders by saying, “I am not making promises I can’t keep.” She praised Rhode Islanders and asked for their support on Tuesday. Bill Clinton Campaigns in PA, Chelsea in MD

On Thursday, Bill and Chelsea Clinton were on the campaign trail on behalf of Hillary Clinton. Bill spoke to a crowd of supporters at the Keystone Building in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and he emphasized Hillary’s experience and her plans to create jobs, reduce student debt, and continue health care reform. The focus of his speech was equality and ensuring that everyone in America was benefiting from the country’s successes. He said that the country is stronger when everyone rises together. Bill argued that is Hillary’s primary concern. He said, “She always finds a way to make something good happen. That’s why she should be president.” Bill also attended a evening fundraiser in Westport, Connecticut. A video from today’s event will be added when/if available.

Chelsea held three organizing events in Maryland to encourage early voting and to rally support for her mother before next week’s primary. She spoke at events in Silver Springs, Beltsville, and Randallstown. At each of the events, she spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and why Hillary is the best choice for president. She pointed to Hillary’s experience and said that this election is “the most important election in my lifetime.” Chelsea took questions from attendees on a number of topics including her mother’s Democratic rival Bernie Sanders, the refinancing of student loans, and the perception of Hillary being untrustworthy. Hillary Clinton Campaigns in New York, Maryland

Today, Hillary Clinton attended campaign events in three states. She began by attending Sunday morning services at the Greater Allen AME Cathedral in Jamaica, Queens. The church is led by former Congressman Rev. Floyd Flake. During her remarks to the congregation, Clinton spoke about empowering people by expanding economic opportunity. She also spoke about her plans to reduce gun violence by introducing mandatory background checks and taking on criminal justice reform.

In Baltimore, Maryland, Clinton spoke to an enthusiastic crowd after being introduced and endorsed by Congressman Elijah E. Cummings. She spoke about the accomplishments of the state of Maryland to expand paid sick leave saying that it something she would like to expand to a national level. Clinton also acknowledged the issue facing the city of Baltimore and pledged to be supportive saying, “I particularly want to pay attention to our cities, like Baltimore. I will focus particularly on communities, neighborhoods, regions that have been passed by.” Videos of today’s events will be posted when/if available.

Clinton wrapped up the day in McLean, Virginia where she attended a fundraiser. The event was held at the home of Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe and his wife, Dorothy.

Clinton on Good Morning America

This morning, Hillary Clinton appeared on Good Morning America where she was interviewed by George Stephanopoulos. During the interview, Clinton defended comments made by Chelsea Clinton yesterday. Chelsea criticized the heath care plan of Bernie Sanders. Clinton was also asked about the current primary polls in New Hampshire and Iowa and what she would do with her winnings if she won the Powerball lottery drawing tonight.  A clip from the interview can be viewed HERE.

Today, Clinton was also scheduled to attend a fundraiser this evening at the home of Rob Shapiro in Washington, DC. In addition, she also appeared at a fundraiser event in Potomac, Maryland. The event was hosted at the home of April McClain Delaney and Congressman John Delaney

Clinton Attends DC Area Fundraisers

On Sunday and Monday, Hillary Clinton attended several fundraisers in the Washington, DC area. On Sunday, Clinton attended a DC fundraiser hosted by Rachel Goslins and Julius Genachowski. She also attended a fundraiser hosted by Steven and Carrie Vanroekel, also in DC. Vanrokel is a former federal Chief Information Officer of the United States. She then attended a fundraiser at the Alexandria, Virginia home of Betty and Carlos Del Toro. Then on Monday, Clinton attended two private fundraisers. The first was held in Washington, DC, and the second was held at the home of Valerie and Wayne Rogers in Owings Mill, Maryland. As with all private fundraisers, the events were closed to the press.

Clinton Endorsed by 13 of the Women Senators

On Monday evening, Hillary Clinton was joined by 13 of the 14 Democratic Senators at an event in Washington, DC. All 13 announced their endorsement for Clinton as president. Each of the Senators took turns explaining why they supported Clinton. Those providing an endorsement included:

Clinton Visits AFL-CIO

Clinton speaks at a campaign event in New York, Monday, July 13, 2015 where she began to outline the economic agenda of her campaign.

Hillary Rodham Clinton visited the AFL-CIO in Maryland today seeking the group’s endorsement. The labor organization has been reluctant to throw their support behind any candidate this early in the primary, but Clinton is hoping to get their support. She focused on increasing the minimum wage. “I think it is important that we set a national minimum, but then we get out of the way of cities and states that believe that they can and should go higher,” she told reporters following the visit.

Following the event, Clinton spoke with reporters where she answered a number of questions, including one about the recent attempts by Congress to defund Planned Parenthood. Clinton criticized the efforts saying, “I think it is regrettable that Republicans are once again trying to undermine, even end those services that so many women have needed and taken advantage of. I think that it’s another effort by the Republicans to try to limit the health care options of women and we should not let them succeed once again.”

Clinton Address National Council of La Raza Conference

Hillary Rodham Clinton addressed the National Council of La Raza Conference in Kansas City, Missouri this afternoon. During her speech, she built upon her economic speech from earlier in the day and referenced the economic inequality in the Latino community. She promised to fight for better economic opportunities and comprehensive immigration reform.

Clinton was not the only Democratic presidential candidate to speak at the conference. Senator Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley were also featured speakers. All three candidates spoke about the similar topics, and all three attacked Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his comments disparaging Latino  immigrants. Trump’s presidential opponents were slow to speak out against his comments, a fact which Clinton called out asking, “Why did it take weeks for most of you to speak out?”

Clinton Attends Private Fundraisers in Maryland and DC

On Monday, Hillary Rodham Clinton attended private fundraisers in Maryland and Washington, DC. In Bethesda, she attended a fundraiser at the home of Susan Ness and Larry Schneider, where about 120 people gathered. Then on Monday evening, Clinton attended a LGBT fundraiser at the Woman’s National Democratic Club in Washington, DC. The event was hosted by Olivia founders Claire Lucas and her partner, Judy Dlugacz. Clinton has been a vocal supporter of LGBT rights and featured a gay couple in her launch video in December. Because both events were closed to the press, details about wheat Clinton said at each event are not available.
