Tim Kaine Campaigns in Iowa, Holton in Ohio

Tim Kaine returned to Iowa where he spoke at an event in Dubuque. During the event, Kaine spoke about Hillary Clinton’s plan to build an economy that works for everyone and not just those at the top. He spoke about Clinton’s plans to raise the minimum wage, make college more affordable, and create new jobs by investing in infrastructure and manufacturing. Kaine said that America is stronger when it works together, and he criticized Donald Trump’s divisive message. He argued that the choice is clear, “Hillary Clinton has a 40-plus year focus on the needs of families and kids that is every bit as historic as having the first women president. Donald Trump’s passion is about himself.” He concluded by urging everyone to vote. A video from the event will be posted when/if available.

Meanwhile, Anne Holton spoke at four events for the campaign. She began in Iowa where she spoke at an early voting event in Fort Dodge. She then traveled to Ohio for events in Trotwood, Lima, and Findlay. At each event, Holton spoke about a number of Clinton’s platform including her plans to create jobs and build an equal economy. She spoke about the importance of the election urging everyone to vote saying, “Democracy works when people participate and what you are doing is helping people participate. Vice President Joe Biden Campaigns in Florida

Vice President Joe Biden returned to Florida where he attended two campaign events on behalf of Hillary Clinton and local Democrats. At his first stop in Tampa, Biden spoke about the importance of electing Clinton president and electing Democrats such as Patrick Murphy to the Senate. Biden spoke about a number of issues that Clinton will focus on as president such as creating jobs and growing the economy. He also went after Donald Trump saying, “This guy doesn’t deserve to be president. On his sixth bankruptcy he stiffed more workers than you can count and then on national television in a debate said ‘maybe I didn’t like the quality of the work.’ Well, Trump, maybe I don’t like the quality of what you say.” He urged everyone to get out and vote on November 8th and to take advantage of early voting. Biden then spoke at a rally in Palm Beach Gardens where he characterized Florida as a must win for Clinton. He said, “Here we go again. Florida. It always comes down to Florida. … We get it done here, we can go home to bed early Tuesday.” Speaking on the campus of Palm Beach State College, Biden spoke about the rising cost of college education and Clinton’s plan to make college more affordable for students and ensure that they graduate debt-free. Biden went after Trump for his divisive comments and policies, and urged everyone to vote.  Watch a video from the event below.

Senator Sanders Campaigns for Hillary in Michigan, Wisconsin

Senator Bernie Sanders attended two campaign events in Michigan on Wednesday. At events in Kalamazoo and Traverse City, Sanders spoke about the importance of electing Hillary Clinton president to continue the progress the country has made the last several years. While he admitted there is still work to be done, Sanders said that Clinton’s plans are better for the country than those of Donald Trump. Sanders maintained the populist tone that he is famous for saying that it is important to grow the middle class. “It is absolutely imperative that we elect Hillary Clinton, but it is equally imperative that millions of us work together to transform this country. To do that we will have to work hard because the people who have the power are the billionaire class, drug companies, fossil fuel companies and Wall Street. No one will be able to take them on if millions of people don’t tell them government belongs to all of us, not just a few,” he said. A video of Sanders’ speech in Kalamazoo is below.

Sanders then traveled to Wisconsin where he spoke to a crowd of supporters in Milwaukee about a number of the plans Clinton has proposed. He spoke about her plans to raise the minimum wage, ensure equal pay for women, and to make college more affordable. Sanders spent some time talking about college affordability since the plan proposed by Clinton is a product of Clinton and Sanders working together. Chelsea Clinton Campaigns for her Mother in Colorado and Wisconsin

Chelsea Clinton spoke at a Get Out the Vote event in Boulder, Colorado this morning where she urged supporters to get out and vote on November 8th. During her speech, Chelsea spoke about a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points including her plans to raise the minimum wage and make college more affordable. She made the case for her mother saying, “This election is both about defeating Donald Trump and electing a woman who has been fighting for and delivering for children and families and women for literally longer than I’ve been alive. And I believe that if we keep talking to people about what is actually at stake in this election, we will win.” A video from the event is below.

Chelsea then traveled to Wisconsin where she spoke with supporters in Eau Claire and Oshkosh. At each event, Chelsea outlined her mother’s blueprint for America and spoke about a number of Hillary’s proposed policies including criminal justice reform and introducing common sense gun control. Chelsea also spoke about her mother’s plan to pay for her proposals by increasing taxes on those making over $250,000 per year. Meanwhile, middle class Americans, those making less then that amount, will not see any tax increases. Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Florida One Week Before Election

One week out from the election, Hillary Clinton made her case to voters in Florida today. Her first two events were in Dade City and Sanford where she spoke about a number of platform points including her plans to create jobs, make college more affordable, and ensure equal pay for women. But she went after Donald Trump with fervor. Clinton attacked Trump for his comments about Senator John McCain and our military, women, immigrants, and the list goes on. She focused on Trump’s comments about in women in particular as she appeared with former Miss Universe Alicia Machado in Dade City. “If we look at what Trump has been doing for 30 years, he sure has spent a lot of time demeaning and degrading women. He calls women ugly. Disgusting. Calls women pigs. Rates bodies on a scale of 1 to 10,” she said. Clinton concluded each event asking everyone to vote next Tuesday or to take advantage of early voting. Watch videos of Clinton’s events below.

Clinton wrapped up the day at an event in Fort Lauderdale. Clinton spoke to an enthusiastic crowd about her vision for America. A country that is inclusive and offers opportunities for everyone and not just a select few. She said, “It is time for us to say no, we are not going backward. We are going forward. How do we do that? For the next seven days focus on what is important. Don’t get distracted. Don’t get diverted.” Clinton also had strong criticisms of Trump saying, “Donald Trump has proven himself temperamentally unfit and unqualified to be president of the United States. He has proven himself unfit. And what he is doing with his conspiracy theories, with his insulting and with his demeaning and degrading millions of Americans proves he should not be allowed anywhere near the White House.” She concluded by asking everyone to take advantage of early voting. Senator Sanders Campaigns for Hillary in New Hampshire and Maine

On Tuesday, Senator Bernie Sanders returned to the campaign trail where he spoke at events in Plymouth and Hanover, New Hampshire. During his speech, Sanders spoke about the importance of the election and ensuring that a progressive is in the White House. He spoke about a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points, including her plan to make college more affordable, a plan he and Clinton worked together on. Sanders said that electing Clinton is half the battle as she will need support in Congress. He encouraged voters to also support U.S. Senate candidate Maggie Hassan. Sanders concluded each event by urging everyone to vote on election day and to not get discouraged by the current political climate. “I understand that a lot of people are discouraged by this campaign, and some people are going to sit it out. Don’t you be one of them! The stakes are much too high. This is not a personality contest. You are not voting for the senior class president at the local high school. You are voting for the most important public official in the world. Sanders’ final event was of the day was a Stronger Together rally in Portland, Maine. Sanders spoke at Deering High School about the importance of voting saying, “Hillary Clinton will win Maine if there is a high voter turnout, she will lose if there’s low voter turnout. Those four electoral votes could literally make the difference as to who the next president of the United States is.” He spoke about Clinton’s progressive platform and the importance of continuing to make progress and assisting middle class families. Bill Clinton Encourages Early Voting in Florida

Bill Clinton returned to Florida on Tuesday where he campaigned for Hillary Clinton at three events. His first event was in Florida City where he told a crowd of supporters that Hillary Clinton is, by far, the best candidate for president and that countless military and national security experts agree. “They know what the real security issue is. The real security issue is having somebody who will keep you safe and strong while we can grow our way together,” he said. Bill focused on Hillary’s plans to ensure that Americans are able to prosper together, and he outlined her plans to create jobs, grow the economy, and make college more affordable. He concluded by asking everyone to vote on election day or to vote early. A video of Bill’s speech is below.

Bill then traveled to Immokalee where he was greeted by supporters. Bill is the first former president to every visit the town. He spoke about the stark differences between Hillary and her opponent, Republican Donald Trump, saying that her plans focus on everyday people, and not those at the top. Bill touted Hillary’s plans to ensure college is affordable for everyone, improve the Affordable Care Act, and create jobs by investing in infrastructure, manufacturing, and clean energy. Again, Bill concluded stressing the importance of voting saying, “The most important thing you can do is to vote and take your friends to vote. Do it today tomorrow and every day through Election Day. If enough people who are for Hillary turn out, she’ll win Florida, and she’ll be the next president.” A video from the event is below.

Bill’s final stop of the day was in St. Petersburg where he focused on Hillary’s platform points and the divisive nature of Trump’s campaign. Bill outlined a number of Hillary’s key policies including her plans to create jobs and ensure an equal opportunity for every American to succeed. He then contrasted that vision with Trump’s saying that the racist undertones of Trump’s campaign are becoming more obvious. “As a 70-year-old Southerner, I know what will make America great again,” Clinton said implying that Trump will make it difficult for anyone who is not white. Bill concluded his speech by encouraging everyone to vote saying, “If people who are for Hillary, vote for Hillary, she’ll win Florida and be our next president.” Watch a video of the rally below.

Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Ohio

Hillary Clinton returned to Ohio on Monday where she began the day at an event on the campus of Kent State University. During her speech, Clinton briefly addressed the FBI’s investigation into her email, and she urged the bureau to release the findings to the American voters. She said that she is confident that nothing will be found. Clinton then spoke about a number of her platform points including her plans to create jobs, build an economy that works for everyone, and make college more affordable. Clinton also attacked Donald Trump for his temperament and divisive rhetoric saying, “Imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis. Imagine him plunging us into a war because someone got under his very thin skin.” She then asked everyone to get out and vote on November 8th or to take advantage of early voting. Clinton then spoke at a rally in Cincinnati where she was introduced by Mark Kelly and former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Clinton, again, opened her speech by addressing the FBI’s investigation into her emails saying, “Go ahead: Look at them.” She then spoke about the importance of the election and far reaching effects the next four years will have on this country. She presented her plans to continue the economic growth started by the administration of President Barack Obama and said that she wanted to make even more progress. She also attacked Trump for his relationship with Russia and his famously short temper. Clinton concluded by asking voters to support her because she wants to win Ohio. We are just days away from the most important election of our generation concluding. Already, over twenty million people have voted, which is an all-time record this early in the voting process. With the stakes so high, a record 70,000 volunteer shifts were completed this weekend alone to get Hillary and Democrats up and down the ballot elected. That’s more shifts than on the same weekend in 2008 or 2012 for President Obama–and those numbers will grow dramatically in the coming days.

I cannot overstate the fact that battleground states have that name for a reason–the result will be incredibly close and the presidency could hinge on the outcome.  Your work to communicate our message and get our supporters to the polls will be the margin of victory in these states.

Since each of you will be spending so much time talking to voters in the coming weeks, I wanted to brief you on what’s really at stake on in this election, so you can help spread the message. There have been a lot of ups and downs in this campaign. And a lot of distractions. But through it all, Hillary Clinton has stayed focused on what really matters: the American people. Their lives. Their families.  The kind of country we all want for our children and grandchildren. That’s what this election is actually about.  And when you clear away all the noise, the choice is stark.

We deserve a President who’s ready to bring us together… ready to keep us safe… ready to make our economy work for everyone, not just those at the top. But Donald Trump has proven himself again and again to be temperamentally unfit and totally unqualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief.

And let’s be clear: this isn’t just a question of temperament and experience, although those are vital qualities in a President.  What’s really on the ballot in this election are two different visions for America:  Donald Trump’s dark and divisive vision that could tear our country apart, and Hillary Clinton’s hopeful, inclusive vision that says we’re stronger together.

Over the course of the next week, you will hear Hillary Clinton explain this choice to voters, including the difference between:

A president who understands the challenging world in which we live or one who is too erratic and uninformed to have control of nuclear weapons

• As a former Secretary of State and senator, Hillary Clinton brings an incredible amount of experience with the key issues facing America around the world. Traveling nearly a million miles as America’s top diplomat, Hillary has handled issues ranging from nuclear proliferation to military readiness, from women’s rights  to climate change, and is ready to lead from day one.
• Beyond his lack of understanding of foreign policy and unwillingness to learn, Donald Trump is a loose cannon with some dangerous views on major global issues. Trump would encourage more nuclear weapons around the world, has insulted our allies and praised several authoritarian dictators.  He even encouraged a foreign government to hack his opponent, and since then has refused to acknowledge the U.S. Intelligence community’s conclusion that the Russian government has done just that.

A president who has spent a lifetime fighting for women or one who has a career of demeaning and bullying them.

• Hillary Clinton made history this year by becoming the first female nominee of a major party, but she has been breaking ground for women during her entire career. From her groundbreaking commencement speech at Wellesley to declaring for the world that “Women’s rights are human rights,” Hillary has been an inspiring voice, fighting for the rights of women around the world.
• Donald Trump has a very different—and very disturbing—record. We’ve all heard the revolting comments he made on a bus 11 years ago, but while those comments were shocking and appalling, they were not surprising to anyone who has followed Trump’s many public comments over the years. Trump’s comments and actions would be unbelievable if he hadn’t spent years publicly insulting and degrading women who stood up to him, bragging about walking in on nude pageant contestants, who were often under aged, and making jokes about objectifying women. And to the women who have accused him of acting on his comments, Trump has threatened legal retribution.

A president who knows that we are stronger together, compared to one who would sow hatred and division.

• Hillary Clinton believes in an America where everyone counts and everyone has a place. She’s spent her life acting on those beliefs, from her early work at the Children’s Defense Fund through a campaign that has consistently called out Trump’s division and hatred while offering a policy agenda that would bring people together and address the issues that keep us apart. Hillary has prioritized issues like immigration reform, ending LGBT discrimination and criminal justice reform.
• Donald Trump set the tone of his campaign by insulting Mexican immigrants and has continued those insults and divisive comments through today. From Muslims to Gold Star families to a judge of Mexican heritage born in America to one of his own African American supporters just this past week, no one has been safe from Trump’s insults and lies. Trump has also built his political efforts around conspiracy theories, starting with the racist lie that President Obama was not born in America and support from hate movements like that alt-right—whose leaders Trump has been too slow to denounce.

A president who will fight for an economy that works for everyone or one who just fights for those at the top

• Hillary Clinton understands that despite the progress we’ve made under President Obama, the deck is too often stacked against working Americans — and she has an agenda that will make the economy work better for everyone. Her plan will create good-paying jobs, make sure that those at the top pay their fair share in taxes, while offering working families help with paid family leave, affordable child care and refinancing student loans.
• Donald Trump has spent his life building a business and his own riches at the expense of those around him. He’s stiffed small businesses and contractors working with him, outsourced jobs, run a sham foundation that has served his own needs more than others and likely paid no federal income taxes for years, shortchanging the communities around him. His policies would also benefit people like him, with a plan that offers the biggest tax cut for the wealthy and corporations in history– adding $20 trillion dollars to the national debt over the next two decades, while raising taxes on millions of middle class families.

The choice is clear. Americans deserve a president with the temperament and experience to tackle the issues facing our country and to work with all Americans to solve them, not a candidate who has proven himself time and again to be temperamentally unfit and unqualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief.  They deserve a president who holds the optimistic view that Americans are stronger together, rather than one who could destroy the values we hold dear and tear America apart.

In the coming week, voters have the opportunity to stand up for our values and reject Donald Trump’s dark divisive vision for America.  Thanks to your help, their voices will win the day.

Hillary Clinton Encourages Early Voting in Iowa

On Friday, Hillary Clinton returned to Iowa where she stressed the importance of voting at events in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines. During the event in Cedar Rapids, Clinton stressed the importance of the election saying that it is in the hands of voters to decide what type of country we want. She said, “The choice is yours as to what kind of country we will have.” Clinton attacked her Republican rival, Donald Trump, for his divisive campaign tactics and disrespectful comments about women, immigrants, and Muslims. She spoke about a number of her platform points focusing on women’s issues such as reproductive rights, equal pay, and paid family leave. She concluded by urging everyone to get out an vote on election day or to take advantage of early voting. A video from the event is below.

In Des Moines, Clinton spoke at Roosevelt High School about the importance of voting and taking advantage of early voting in Iowa. Clinton spoke about a number of platform points including her plans to grow the economy, create jobs by investing in infrastructure and clean energy, and making college more affordable for students, both past and future.
