On Thursday, Bill and Chelsea Clinton were on the campaign trail on behalf of Hillary Clinton. Bill spoke to a crowd of supporters at the Keystone Building in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and he emphasized Hillary’s experience and her plans to create jobs, reduce student debt, and continue health care reform. The focus of his speech was equality and ensuring that everyone in America was benefiting from the country’s successes. He said that the country is stronger when everyone rises together. Bill argued that is Hillary’s primary concern. He said, “She always finds a way to make something good happen. Chelsea held three organizing events in Maryland to encourage early voting and to rally support for her mother before next week’s primary. She spoke at events in Silver Springs, Beltsville, and Randallstown. At each of the events, she spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and why Hillary is the best choice for president. She pointed to Hillary’s experience and said that this election is “the most important election in my lifetime.” Chelsea took questions from attendees on a number of topics including her mother’s Democratic rival Bernie Sanders, the refinancing of student loans, and the perception of Hillary being untrustworthy. Hillary Clinton Unveils Environmental, Immigration Plan Details

On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton delivered two major speeches during which she outlined her plans for environmental action and her proposal to create a Department of Immigrant Affairs to help immigrants become American citizens. This morning, Clinton was endorsed by the New York State Immigrant Action Fund, and Clinton attended a round table event during which she discussed her plans for immigration reform. She criticized Republican Donald Trump for his anti-immigration rhetoric and vowed to help immigrants become American citizens. During her remarks, she proposed the introduction of a Department of Immigrant Affairs that would work at all levels of government to assist immigrants and refugees as they settle in the United States.

In the afternoon, Clinton spoke at the National Action Network Convention where she was introduced by Rev. Al Sharpton. Clinton introduced her plan for environmental and climate justice which is a small part of her larger Breaking Every Barrier agenda. The plan not only includes fighting climate change, but eliminating lead as a public health threat. The main points of the plan include:

• Eliminating lead as a major public heath threat within five years
• Protesting public heath and safety by modernizing drinking and wastewater systems
• Prosecuting criminal and civil violations that expose communities to environmental harm and work with Congress to strengthen public health protections in our existing laws
• Creating new economic opportunity through brownfield clean-up and redevelopment
• Reducing urban air pollution by investing in clean power and transportation
• Broadening the clean energy economy, build career opportunities, and combat energy poverty by expanding solar and energy efficiency in low-income communities and communities of color
• Protecting communities from the impacts of climate change by investing in resilient infrastructure
• Establishing an Environmental and Climate Justice Task Force to make environmental and climate justice, including cumulative impacts, an integral part of federal decision-making

Clinton then spoke at an organizing event in the Bronx. During the event, she spoke about a variety of topics including working for New York as senator, improving education, building upon the progress made in heath care, and ensuring that all Americans have an opportunity to prosper. She took the time to point out the differences between her and her Republican rivals, especially front-runner Donald Trump. She said, “He wants to build walls; I want to build bridges.” Clinton went on to ask for everyone’s support during next week’s primary. A video from the event is below.

Bill Clinton Campaigns in Flushing

On Tuesday, Bill Clinton was in New York City where he spoke at an organizing event in Flushing, Queens. Bill spoke about a variety of Hillary Clinton’s platform points including immigration reform, heath care, criminal justice reform, and supporting small businesses. On the topic of small businesses, he said, “New York City’s economy is diversifying … We doubled the number of small business loans to women and to minorities. That’s what Hillary wants to do again.” He then asked voters to support Hillary in New York’s upcoming primary, which will be held on April 19.

In the evening, Bill attended a gala hosted by Emily’s List. During the event, he spoke about Hillary’s plans and criticized the Republicans and their policies. He called out Donald Trumps proposals to ban Muslims from entering the country and building a wall that Mexico will pay for. He said that neither plan will work and it doesn’t get to the root of the problem. Bill stressed the importance of working with Silicon Valley companies to fight terrorism because while it may be possible to keep people from crossing the border, “you cannot keep the social media out.” A video from today’s events will be added when/if available.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Clinton attended a fundraiser in Brooklyn, New York. A second fundraiser was held on behalf of Hillary for America in New York City. It was hosted by Entrepreneurs for Hillary and featured a conversation with the Kitchen co-founder Kimbal Musk. The event was hosted by Laetitia and Richard Garriott de Cayeux.

Hillary Clinton Campaigns in New York

On Friday, Hillary Clinton spoke at two organizing events in New York. The first was in Buffalo, where Clinton first made stops at the Gates Vascular Institute where she toured the facility. Then, she attended an economic roundtable event at the Jacobs Institute. Finally, she held a public organizing event at the Pierce Arrow Museum. Clinton focused on the economy and her accomplishments as a New York Senator. During her speech, she praised the city saying, “There is no doubt in my mind that Buffalo is on the rise and Buffalo will have a great future.” Videos from the economic roundtable event and organizing event are below.

In Rochester, Clinton spoke to a crowd of supporters at Monroe Community College. During her speech, she spoke about a variety of issues facing the country including heath care and the rising cost of a college education. True to form, Clinton tailored her speech for Rochester saying, “I am happy to be back in the Rochester area because this is a place grew to admire and have such affection for during my time as your senator. What a history, but what an exciting future. There is a lot going on now in Rochester and we have to keep it going. Bill, Chelsea Clinton Campaign for Hillary

On Thursday, Bill Clinton held two organizing events in Pennsylvania. The first was in Philadelphia where he spoke about Hillary’s experience and plans to continue growing the economy, improving heath care, and making sure everyone has an equal opportunity. Toward the end of his speech, Bill was interrupted by protesters and he engaged them for over ten minutes, but they continued to shout over his answers to their questions and concern prompting him to respond, “I like protesters, but the ones that won’t let you answer are afraid of the truth.”

Bill then spoke at an event in Scranton. Speaking at Scranton High School, Bill focused on Hillary’s platform and her plans to continue the progress of the last eight years. He said, “If you want to do something to make America better, you ought to pick the best change-maker with the best ideas, the best preparation, the best job at this time. If that’s the test, it’s not close. You know her here. You’ve been good to her here. You’ve been good to me here.” Videos from today’s events will be posted when/if available.

In Texas, Chelsea Clinton attended three fundraisers on behalf of Hillary for America. The first was in El Paso where she attended an event hosted by Governor Carlos Hisa. Clinton then attended a fundraiser in San Antonio. The event was held at the home of Jennifer and Saul Perloff. Her final event of the day was in Dallas where she attended an event at the home of Julie Johnson and Sue Moster. Meanwhile, in New York, De’Ara Balenger, Director of Engagement, attended a fundraiser at Artspace.

Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Pennsylvania

On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton attended two organizing events in Pennsylvania ahead of their primary on April 26. Her first stop was in Philadelphia where she spoke at the AFL-CIO Convention. During her speech, she expressed her confidence that she would be the Democratic nominee for president and vowed to make labor and the economy a priority as president. She also criticized comments made by Republican front runner Donald Trump saying, “You’ve got other candidates talking about building walls and putting up barriers against each other, right? My campaign is about breaking down all the barriers holding working families back. Clinton then spoke at an organizing event on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Clinton spoke to a crowd of about 2,000 people who crowded in the gymnasium and on the lawn outside to hear her speak, and she apologized for not speaking at a larger venue. During her speech, Clinton spoke about her plans to continue the progress of President Barack Obama’s administration by improving heath care, making higher education more affordable for those in school and those paying off school debt, and expanding clean energy. Bill Clinton Campaigns in New York on Tuesday

On Tuesday, Bill Clinton spoke at three organizing events in New York before their primary on April 19. He began in Elmont where he discussed Hillary’s experience and her service to the state of New York as Senator. He said, “This election in so many ways, psychologically, is coming down to New York. We’ve got to send a message to America that Hillary was our senator, she delivered in New York … If you think what she did as senator, imagine what she could do as president.” He then went on to speak about a number of Hillary’s platform points and plans as president.

In Depew, Bill asked Hillary’s supporters to come out and vote for her on April 19 and urged them to ask their friends and family to support her as well. He spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and how it can have a lasting impact on the country. He said that Hillary’s experience and leadership would help incomes rise, grow the economy, and continue to improve heath care for everyone. Bill also spoke about the 2008 financial crash and explained that Republican policies were the root cause and that going back to those policies would only lead to the same results.

His final organizing event was held in Rochester where Bill spoke at a local union hall. During the speech, he spoke about labor rights and improving the economy for everyone, and not just those at the top. He said that Hillary was the best candidate because she is a change maker and will fight for what she believes in. Hillary Clinton Returns to Wisconsin Ahead of Tuesday’s Primary

On Saturday, Hillary Clinton returned to Wisconsin where she held a Get Out the Vote event at the Lismore Hotel in Eau Claire. During her speech, Clinton spoke about a number of her platform points including jobs, higher education, and health care, but she tailored the points to specific Wisconsin issues. She criticized Republican governor and former presidential candidate Scott Walker for undoing years of progress in the state saying, But there was something else I learned as I got older, how Wisconsin was such a pioneer, a pioneer in making progress on behalf of working people, a pioneer in an idea … Wisconsin understood before most of rest of country did that economy and higher education were linked. I admire that. (I’m) disheartened to see the dismantling of so many pieces of what made Wisconsin not just a great state to live in and a great state to work in, but an example for so many others.” A video from today’s event is below.

In the evening, both Democratic presidential candidates, Clinton and Bernie Sanders, spoke at the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s 2016 Founders Day gala in Milwaukee. During Clinton’s speech, she not only focused on her presidential run, but the importance of getting Democrats elected at the local level in Wisconsin. Again, she called out Governor Walker for a number of his policies and criticized the appointment of Rebecca Bradley to the state Supreme Court. Bradley has been criticized for her stance on a number of issues and Clinton said, “There is no place on any Supreme Court or any court in this country, no place at all for Rebecca Bradley’s decades-long track record of dangerous rhetoric against women, survivors of sexual assault and the LGBT community.” A full video from the event is available on C-SPAN.

Also appearing in Wisconsin on behalf of Hillary for America was Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards. She spoke with supporters on the campus of University of Wisconsin-Madison. Meanwhile, a fundraiser hosted by Susannah Gray and Michael John Williams was held in Washington, Connecticut. The fundraiser featured an appearance by Foreign Policy Advisor Daniel Kurtz-Phelan. A second fundraiser was held in Boston, Massachusetts. The fundraiser featured an appearance by Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan.

Bill Clinton Campaigns for Hillary in New York

While Hillary Clinton campaigned in Purchase, New York, Bill Clinton hosted a number of organizing events with labor unions in the New York City area. At each of the events, he struck a populist tone and criticized big companies that refuse to raise wages for their workers saying that “80 to 90% of the profits are going to shareholders and top management” instead of those doing the work. He said that Hillary will continue to fight for everyone and ensure that unions do not lose their right to collectively bargain. Criticizing Bernie Sanders, Bill also suggested that Sander’s heath care program will not work saying, “It’s interesting that the governor [Peter Shumlin] of Vermont — Vermont, the only governor in America that ever had the courage to try to have a single-payer system — he found, just like the experts that it was going to cost twice what he thought it was, and would take half the state’s budget. Three fundraisers were held by Hillary for America. The first was held in Providence, Rhode Island. The event was hosted by Rhode Island for Hillary and featured Congressman Joaquin Castro. The second event was hosted by Doctors Steven Beller and Esther Brimmer in Washington, DC. The event featured a conversation with Wendy Sherman, Former Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, and Kurt Campbell, Former Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs. The final fundraiser of the day was held in New York City and included Marc Elias, Hillary for America General Counsel and Robbie Kaplan, Partner, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

Hillary Clinton Campaigns in New York

On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton spent the morning in Harlem where she met with Rep. Charles Rangel at Make My Cake Bakery. She then held a rally at the famed Apollo Theater in the early afternoon. After being introduced by New York Senator Charles Schumer, Clinton delivered a speech in which she criticized the Republican presidential candidates for being “in over their heads” on national security. She also called out her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders for a number of his plans saying that while they share many of the same goals, her proposals are more realistic and more likely to get passed than his. She spoke about a number her platform topics including heath care, the economy, and the importance of the 2016 election. Referring to New York City, she added, “This is a city that likes to get things done. And that’s what we want from our president too.” A full video of her speech is below.

While in New York City, Clinton attended two fundraisers. The first was a reception held at the home of Ruth Porat and Anthony Paduano. The second event was hosted by LGBT for Hillary at Capitale in New York City. As with all private events, they were closed to the press.
