Chelsea Clinton Campaigns in New Hampshire

On Friday, Chelsea Clinton campaigned for her mother at events in Keene and Hanover, New Hampshire. At each event, Chelsea spoke about her mother and how she has spent her entire life focusing on bettering the lives of women, children, and families across the country and around the world. She said that Hillary Clinton’s platform is more comprehensive and more inclusive than plans proposed by Donald Trump. Chelsea urged everyone to get out and vote saying, “For me, this election is first and foremost about my children and about the country, the world, and the future that I want for them and their generation to grow up in.” A video from the event in Keene is below.

Meanwhile, in Boston, Massachusetts, a fundraiser was held on behalf of Hillary for America. The event featured a conversation with Cher.

Senator Sanders Campaigns for Hillary in New Hampshire and Maine

On Tuesday, Senator Bernie Sanders returned to the campaign trail where he spoke at events in Plymouth and Hanover, New Hampshire. During his speech, Sanders spoke about the importance of the election and ensuring that a progressive is in the White House. He spoke about a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points, including her plan to make college more affordable, a plan he and Clinton worked together on. Sanders said that electing Clinton is half the battle as she will need support in Congress. He encouraged voters to also support U.S. Senate candidate Maggie Hassan. Sanders concluded each event by urging everyone to vote on election day and to not get discouraged by the current political climate. “I understand that a lot of people are discouraged by this campaign, and some people are going to sit it out. Don’t you be one of them! The stakes are much too high. This is not a personality contest. You are not voting for the senior class president at the local high school. You are voting for the most important public official in the world. The differences between Secretary Clinton and Donald Trump are day and night.” Videos from the events in Plymouth and Hanover are below.

Sanders’ final event was of the day was a Stronger Together rally in Portland, Maine. Sanders spoke at Deering High School about the importance of voting saying, “Hillary Clinton will win Maine if there is a high voter turnout, she will lose if there’s low voter turnout. Those four electoral votes could literally make the difference as to who the next president of the United States is.” He spoke about Clinton’s progressive platform and the importance of continuing to make progress and assisting middle class families. Bill Clinton Campaigns for Hillary in New Hampshire

Bill Clinton was in New Hampshire on Monday where he spoke at two events on behalf of Hillary Clinton. His first event was in Hanover on the campus of Dartmouth College where he focused on the positive things have happened in the United States over the last eight years. While he admitted that there is still progress to be made, he believes that Hillary has the plans to continue economic growth and ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prosper in America. He contrasted the message of Hillary’s campaign with that of Republican Donald Trump’s saying that “Strong Together” is far more positive then “Make America Great Again.” Bill wrapped up the event by talking about New Hampshire’s role in the election and encouraging everyone to vote on November 8th. In Keene, Bill spoke on the campus of Keene State College and largely focused on the same themes as he did in Hanover. He urged voters to remain optimistic about America’s future and elect someone who is optimistic as well. “You cannot give this country’s future away to people who think anger is better than answers, that resentment is much better than empowerment, that endless conflict is better than cooperation,” he said of Trump. Bill then looked to after the election and called for unity saying, “One of the things I think we have to do when this election is over — every one of us, each in our own way — is not treat the people on the other side the way they and their candidate have treated us. Clinton Wraps Up New Hampshire Trip

On Tuesday, Hillary Rodham Clinton wrapped up her trip to New Hampshire by unveiling her plan to overhaul the Department of Veterans Affairs. She then went to Hanover where she attended a forum hosted by Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. The forum was moderated by Former New Hampshire Governor John Lynch. In Clinton’s opening remarks, she called for equal pay, paid sick leave, immigration, and continued economic growth. The discussion largely focused on business and the economy. Speaking about equal pay and paid sick and family leave, Clinton said, ““Policies like these are often seen as luxuries or kind of dismissed as family issues or even women’s issues — as though that somehow makes them less important — but in fact they are growth strategies.” Clinton also took questions from those in attendance. On Tuesday evening, Clinton left New Hampshire and stopped for a fundraiser in Buffalo, New York. The fundraiser was coordinated by the Erie County Democratic Committee and attended by a fairly decent size crowd that included Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown and Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul. As with all private events, the fundraiser was closed to the press.

Clinton talks Health Care in New Hampshire

On Friday, Clinton met with the citizens of Hanover, New Hampshire. She delivered a speech to an estimated crowd of 850 at The Bema. Clinton focused her attacks on Republicans and their reaction to the recent Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act. Clinton said the Republican candidates would repeal the act after taking office. Clinton also spoke about the need for new gun control laws and the potential nuclear deal with Iran. She also confronted recent criticism by defending her record as a liberal. She said, “I will fight hard against what I see as the injustice and unfairness in our society. I take a back seat to no one when you look at my record of standing up and fighting for progressive values.”
