Chelsea Clinton Campaigns for her Mother in Colorado and Wisconsin

Chelsea Clinton spoke at a Get Out the Vote event in Boulder, Colorado this morning where she urged supporters to get out and vote on November 8th. During her speech, Chelsea spoke about a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points including her plans to raise the minimum wage and make college more affordable. She made the case for her mother saying, “This election is both about defeating Donald Trump and electing a woman who has been fighting for and delivering for children and families and women for literally longer than I’ve been alive. And I believe that if we keep talking to people about what is actually at stake in this election, we will win.” A video from the event is below.

Chelsea then traveled to Wisconsin where she spoke with supporters in Eau Claire and Oshkosh. At each event, Chelsea outlined her mother’s blueprint for America and spoke about a number of Hillary’s proposed policies including criminal justice reform and introducing common sense gun control. Chelsea also spoke about her mother’s plan to pay for her proposals by increasing taxes on those making over $250,000 per year. Meanwhile, middle class Americans, those making less then that amount, will not see any tax increases. Bill Clinton Campaigns in Midwest

After cancelling an appearance in Kansas City on Tuesday due to severe weather, Bill Clinton attended was able to attend campaign events in Illinois and Missouri. In Evanston, Illinois, Clinton spoke to a group of supporters at the Beth Emet The Free Synagogue. During his speech, he spoke about a number of Hillary’s platform points including heath care, gun control, and her plans to make college more affordable. Of Hillary’s college plan, he said, “(Sanders) wants free tuition for everybody at state universities. (Hillary Clinton) wants everybody to be able to graduate without debt, from public or private institutions. I think her idea is better for one simple reason: If all we do is subsidize tuition, it will just lead to an inflation in tuition costs.” While in the area, Clinton also visited with patrons of MacArthur’s Restaurant in Austin.

Clinton was able to attend a Get Out the Vote event in St. Louis, Missouri. During the event at the Machinists Hall, Clinton spoke about Hillary’s experience and how she is the best candidate to handle major issues such as the economy, immigration reform, and heath care. He touched on her plan to make college more affordable, like he had earlier in the day, but he spoke about how those with current student debt will be able to re-finance and make paying of the debt easier and more affordable. He also spoke about her experience with bipartisan deals and said that she would be a leader that could bring both parties together on a number of issues.

In Washington, DC tonight, Jacques Panis, President of Shinola, was the key speaker at a fundraiser. Hosted by Jo Ousterhout and Shelly Porges, the event was targeted toward entrepreneurs and topic of conversation was “Rebuilding the American Dream.”

Bill, Chelsea Campaign for Hillary in Key Primary States

On Monday, Bill and Chelsea Clinton campaigned for Hillary in several states that hold their primaries tomorrow. Chelsea kicked off the day at a Get Out the Caucus event in Duluth, where she was joined by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton. Chelsea spoke about the importance of the 2016 election, especially for the for the Supreme Court. “If you look at the age of the justices on the Supreme Court and the average age of retirement, the next president could appoint one, two or even another three justices to the Supreme Court,” she said. Chelsea also spoke about a number of her mother’s platform points including gun control, higher education, voting rights, and the economy.

Chelsea’s final event of the day was a Get Out the Caucus rally in Lincoln, Nebraska. During the event, Chelsea spoke about her mother’s experience the what is at stake for the next president, especially in regards to the Supreme Court. She explained, “I think we need a president that understands that we don’t live in a single issue country and that we can’t treat the Supreme Court as a single issue institution.” A video from the event will be posted when/if available.

Bill spent the eve of Super Tuesday in Texas where he attended three Get Out the Vote events. The first event was in Houston where he spoke to a crowd of supporters at the Buffalo Soldiers Museum. During his speech, Bill shifted his message from contrasting Hillary from her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders, to contrasting her with her Republicans rivals. He said, “When Republicans say they’ll make America great again, we never stopped being great, but we need to be made whole again.”

The second stop for Bill came at Tarrant County College’s Trinity River campus in Forth Worth. During the event, he spoke about his wife’s experience and her plans to improve heath care, reduce the cost of higher education, and continue to grow the economy. He asked supporters to vote for Hillary in tomorrow’s Texas primary saying that she is the best qualified candidate to be president.

Bill’s final stop was in San Antonio where he spoke at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Theatre. During the event, he spoke about immigration reform and criticized Republicans for their proposals making it more difficult to attain American citizenship. Bill also spoke about Hillary’s plans to improve America as a whole and not only focus on the wealthy class. Bill, Chelsea Campaign for Hillary before Super Tuesday

On Sunday, Bill and Chelsea Clinton were on the campaign trail in support of Hillary Clinton. Bill spent the day in Florida where he attended fundraisers in Miami and Boca Raton. In Miami Gardens, he spoke at a Get Out the Vote event where he covered Hillary’s call for increased gun control, improving health care, and resolving systemic racism. He asked voters to support Hillary in the upcoming March 15th primary. A video from his speech will be added when/if available.

Chelsea was in Minnesota before Tuesday’s caucuses, and she attended Get Out the Caucus events in Minnetonka and South St. Paul. She also spoke at a Women for Hillary event in Rochester. At each of the events, she spoke about her mother’s experience and platform, focusing particularly on her work with children and women’s rights. Chelsea said, “She set the expectations that every embassy representing our country around the world would know what was happening to women and girls in terms of rights, opportunities, safety, health, participation. And she spent three years building a bipartisan coalition to create the children’s health insurance program, which covers more than eight million low-income kids, including tens of thousands here in Minnesota.” Videos from today’s events will be posted when/if available.

Clintons Campaign while SC Votes

On the day of the South Carolina primary, Hillary and Bill Clinton attended separate events in different states in preparation for super Tuesday. Eleven states and one Territory will cast their primary ballots on March 1 (Click here to see a full list). Bill attended two events in Oklahoma. The first was in Edmond where he spoke at the University of Central Oklahoma. During his speech, Bill framed his wife as a change-maker with the experience necessary to move the country forward. He referred to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address saying, “That beautiful picture the President painted of the future; still a whole lot of Americans can’t look at that picture and find themselves in it to save their lives. That’s the space in which this election is being fought out. Hillary is running for President to put every single American in that picture without regard of their age, their region, their gender or their race, or religion.”

Bill’s second event was in Tulsa where he spoke at Booker T. Washington High School. He was introduced by Cherokee Nation Chief Bill John Baker and spoke about Hillary’s broad background and determination to make a difference. He spoke about her plans for health care, higher education, and clean energy. Of Hillary he said, “Here’s what I know — something about being president. I know something about building an inclusive economy and defending the country — you got to do them both. You can’t predict you can do one part of the job and not another. She’s the single best change-maker I’ve ever known.” A video from the event is below.

Bill then spoke at a Get Out the Vote event in Montgomery, Alabama. Speaking at Alabama State University, Bill said that that too many Americans do not share in the country’s prosperity, and that Hillary has plans to change that. Her platform is built on giving everyone an opportunity to better themselves. Bill wrapped up the event early after struggling with hoarseness, but he asked voters to support Hillary on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Hillary was in Birmingham. She began the day by visiting downtown Birmingham for coffee and to chat with voters at the Urban Standard. Then, she spoke at a Get Out the Vote event held on the campus of Miles College. Speaking to the crowd of 2,300, Clinton spoke about her plans to raise the minimum wage, enact criminal justice reform, and fight voting restrictions. Clinton criticized Alabama Republicans for making it more difficult for African-Americans to vote, and she criticized the comments and plans of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Chicago

On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton returned to home town of Chicago for fundraisers and a public Get Out the Vote event. During the public event, Clinton took the opportunity to criticize the Republican administration in Illinois for rolling back the progress in the state. She recalled politics a number of decades ago when Republicans and Democrats could work together despite their disagreements. She vowed to be a president who stood up for what was right, but work with Republicans to get things done. She also spoke about a number of platform topics including heath care and gun control. Clintons Campaign in Multiple States

On Tuesday, Bill and Hillary Clinton attended events across multiple states. Bill was in Greenville, South Carolina where he spoke to a crowd at the West End Community Center. He spoke about immigration reform and gun control, and he spoke highly of Hillary’s experience and conviction. Bill said that her desire to be a change maker is her strongest trait. He asked voters to support her in the upcoming primary saying, “She never gives up and she won’t give up on you, and she knows if we are going to go into the future together we’ve got to have shared prosperity, equal opportunity and inclusiveness. If that is what you want she is your candidate.”

Hillary attended three events in two states. She began in New York City where she attended a fundraiser. She then met with Reverend Al Sharpton in Lower Manhattan. Clinton and Sharpton were joined at their meeting by National Urban League President Mark Moriale. Clinton said, “My campaign is really about breaking every barrier. I’m not a single issue candidate and we don’t live in a single issue country and we have work to do and that work can only be done in partnership.” Clinton then traveled to an evening fundraiser in McLean, Virginia held at the home of Beatrice and Tony Welters.

Hillary also visited Harlem where she gave a speech on her plans to end systemic racism. She pledged $125 billion to assist poor and minority communities with job training and education. She spoke about her “Breaking Down Barriers” that would help “places where people of color and the poor have been left out and left behind.” Clinton criticized rival Bernie Sanders’ relationship with minorities communities saying, “You can’t start building relationships a few weeks before a vote.” A video of her speech will be added when/if available.

In Nevada, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine joined a group of supporters in Mesquite to take part in a canvass event. Meanwhile in Texas, Hillary for America Director of Policy Outreach Ed Meier attended an event at the Dallas home of Anne and Chris Hamilton.

Hillary Clinton Campaigns Before New Hampshire Town Hall

On the day of a New Hampshire Democratic Town Hall, Hillary Clinton attended three Get Out the Vote events across the state. Her first event of the day was in Derry where she was introduced by former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly. Clinton focused on the issues, but she pointed out that many on her team wanted her to skip New Hampshire since she is trailing in the polls and in Bernie Sanders territory. She said, “I have to tell you. I just could not ever skip New Hampshire. I could not even imagine not being here, not being in settings like these.” A video from the event in Derry is below.

At the remaining two events of the day, one in Dover and one in Manchester, Clinton’s message was similar. She defended herself against comments made by Sanders questioning her progressive values. She pointed to her career and her work with heath care, advocating for women and gay rights, and pushing for stricter gun control measures. She has famously said that she is a “progressive who knows how to get things done.” Today, she said, “We’ve been fighting the progressive fight and getting results for people for years. Tonight Clinton and Sanders will take part in a CNN Town Hall, similar to the one in Iowa last week. Clintons Head to New Hampshire

Following Hillary Clinton’s narrow win in Iowa, Clinton turned her focus to New Hampshire, which holds its primary on February 9. Clinton is currently behind in the polls, and both Bill and Hillary appeared at the first event in Nashua. Bill spoke first about Hillary’s ability to change things. When Hillary took the stage, she focused on the issue including clean energy, heath care, and climate change. A video from the event in Nashua is below.

Bill then spoke at an event in Laconia where he gave a speech about Hillary’s experience and her plans as president and how she differs from Democratic rival Bernie Sanders.

The final event of the day was in Hampton where Hillary was introduced by former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. Hillary then gave a speech highlighting her proposals for gun control, heath care, and her pledge to not raise taxes on the middle class. She said that she understood why many in New Hampshire supported Sanders, but she asked them to think long term and going up against the Republican nominee in November. She said, “You all are going to be giving us the once over, the twice over, the thrice over, and I welcome it, because this needs to be a contest of ideas about who is ready to be our president and our commander-in-chief starting next January.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.

Clinton Campaigns in Iowa on Saturday Before Caucus

Two days before the Iowa caucuses, Hillary Clinton appeared at a number of events across the state. The first event of the day was at Iowa State University in Ames. During the event, she was joined on stage by former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly. Giffords spoke briefly giving her full support to Hillary. Clinton then went on to speak about a number of her platform topics including gun control, health care, and education. A video from the event will be posted when/if available.

Clinton’s second stop of the day was in Carroll where she spoke with supporters before her final event in Cedar Rapids. The final rally of the day featured all three Clintons, Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea. Each took a moment to speak about Hillary’s accomplishments and experience before she took the stage to talk about the future and her plans as president.
