Kaine Campaigns in Manchester, NH

Tim Kaine spoke to a group of supporters on Saturday in Manchester, New Hampshire. During the rally at Saint Anselm College, Kaine touted Hillary Clinton’s economic plans and her proposed investment in the country’s infrastructure. He said that her plan would create millions of jobs across the country, while her opponent’s economic plan would not. Kaine also went after Donald Trump for not releasing his income tax returns after Clinton released her 2015 return and Kaine released ten years of his returns yesterday. Speaking about the tradition of presidents and presidential candidates releasing their returns, he said, “Everybody’s done it. Trump is not doing it. He says the rules that apply to everybody else do not apply to Donald J. Trump.” A video from the event is below.

On Friday, a fundraiser was held on behalf of Hillary for America in New York City. Senator Cory Booker was the guest at the event. Then, on Saturday, Phil Angelides attended a fundraiser in Los Angeles, California. The event was hosted by Steve Hely, Vali Chandrasekaran, Melissa Lo, and Matt Warburton. Meanwhile, in Atlanta, Georgia, Senator Booker attended a for45 event.

Hillary Clinton Addresses American Federation of Teachers

On Monday evening, Hillary Clinton spoke during the annual convention of the American Federation of Teachers. Clinton spoke about her dedication to education and teachers saying that she would support efforts to modernize teaching, expand computer science and STEM education, ensure that testing assists teaching, and oppose vouchers and for-profit schools. Clinton also attacked Republican Donald Trump for his divisive policies and Republicans attitude toward education. A video from the event is below.

Two Hillary for America fundraisers were held today. The first was in Portland, Oregon and included a conversation with Senior Policy Advisor Ann O’Leary. The event took place at the home of Leanne Littrell DiLorenzo and John DiLorenzo Jr. The second event was in Atlanta, Georgia. The event featured former Congressman Barney Frank and was held for LGBTQ and Allies for Hillary. The event was hosted by Alan Brewer and Michael Goltzman.

Clinton Fundraises following Tuesday’s Wins

After coming out on top in all five of Tuesday’s primaries, Hillary Clinton and Hillary for America have spent the last two days fundraising. Yesterday, Hillary for America hosted a Counterterrorism conversation in Arlington, Virginia. Those attending the event included Randy Beers, Former Deputy Homeland Security Advisor; Matt Spence, Former NSC Senior Director and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East; Will Wechsler, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Counterterrorism and current Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East; and Dan Byman, Former 9/11 Commission Staff Member.

Today, Clinton attended two fundraisers. The first was held at the home of Pradeep and Ranjana Sinha in Atlanta, Georgia. Then, Clinton attended a fundraiser at the Nashville, Tennessee home of Sacha and Charles Robert Bone. Two other fundraisers were hosted by Hillary for America. The first was a New York City reception with Olympic Gold Medalist and FIFA World Cup Champion Abby Wambach. The second fundraiser was held in Bradbury, California and featured a conversation with Campaign Chair John Podesta.

Clinton Wins 8 of 12 Super Tuesday States

Polls are now closing across the Super Tuesday states, and results are beginning to come in from the Democratic race between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. In the, Clinton won 8 primaries to Sanders’ 4. The chart of which states were won by Clinton and Sanders is below. In Miami, Florida, Clinton delivered a victory speech with supporters at a Super Tuesday rally. During her speech, she congratulated Sanders for his strong showing, then she thanked all her supporters and volunteers who helped make her victories possible. She focused on the future and the road to nomination before taking a shot at Republican front-runner Donald Trump saying, “We know we’ve got work to do.  It’s not to make America great again—America never stopped being great. Hillary Clinton Hosts events in Atlanta and South Carolina

On the eve of the South Carolina primary, Hillary Clinton attended a number of events, but she started off the day in neighboring Georgia for a Early Voting Event in Atlanta. During the event, Clinton spoke about a number of key platform points including voting rights. She encouraged Georgia voters to participate in Tuesday’s primary and take advantage of early voting if they are unable to head to the polls on Tuesday. The early voting period in Georgia ends today. Back in South Carolina, Clinton hosted a Breaking Down Barriers rally in Orangeburg. Speaking at South Carolina State University, Clinton focused on racial inequality and how to improve the justice system and eradicate systemic racism. She also spoke about the successes of President Barack Obama and how she plans to improve upon his major accomplishments, including heath care. Hillary wrapped up the day at a Get Out the Vote event in Columbia where she was joined by Bill and Chelsea. When Clinton took the stage, she spoke about the importance of continuing the progress of the last eight years and building upon the successes of the Obama administration. She asked voters to support her in tomorrow’s primary saying, “The South Carolina primary is personally important to me because I want to send a strong signal that South Carolina is ready for change, ready for progress, ready to make a difference.” A video from the event will be posted when/if available.

Bill Clinton Campaigns for Hillary in SC and GA

On Saturday, Bill Clinton held two public events in the south after attending a fundraiser in Atlanta, Georgia. The fundraiser was hosted by Mayor Kasim Reed and Sarah-Elizabeth Reed, Congressman John Lewis, Congressman Hank Johnson, The Honorable Andrew Young and Carolyn Young, Hank and Billye Aaron, Mack Wilbourn, and Daniel and Sonya Halpern.

His first organizing event was held in Atlanta where he appeared with Congressman John Lewis. Lewis spoke about Hillary Clinton and praised her experience. He framed her as the candidate best equipped to lead the country. When Bill took the stage, he made similar comments touting Hillary’s experience and her leadership. He stressed the importance of the 2016 election saying, “We are on the verge of being able to grow together again. You need a change maker who believes in inclusive economics, inclusive politics, inclusive society, and a national security policy … that keeps us safe without giving up who we are as Americans. That’s Hillary.”

In the evening, Bill spoke to a group of supporters at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. During the event, he spoke about his wife’s experience and plans to apply more strict gun regulations, create better jobs, and improve the heath care system. He said, “Hillary literally got into this race, because she does not believe America will ever fulfill its promise until every single solitary American is empowered to fulfill their promise. And she believes we have to do it together.” A video of his speech is below.

Meanwhile, today in Munich, Germany, a Hillary for America fundraiser was held for American citizens currently living in the area. The event was hosted by Johnny Talbot and Mindy Prugnaud and Former Ambassador Melanne Verveer attended the event.

Chelsea and Hillary Clinton Attend Fundraisers

Today, both Hillary and Chelsea Clinton attended fundraisers. Hillary was in New York City to attend a fundraiser hosted by David Lichtenstein. Chelsea, meanwhile, was in Atlanta, Georgia where she attended two fundraisers. The first was a Women for Hillary event, and the second was hosted by Mayor Kasim Reed. All three events were closed to the press.

Clinton Launches African Americans for Hillary

Yesterday, Hillary Rodham Clinton launched African Americans for Hillary at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, Clinton spoke at Clark Atlanta University where she was introduced by Rev. Jesse Jackson. Clinton spoke briefly at the event, but she hinted at her plans for criminal justice reform, something that she is going to be rolling out in the coming days. Clinton voiced her support for legislation that would ban racial profiling and would push to eliminate the distinction between crack and power cocaine in drug sentencing. She also voiced her support for “banning the box” on job applications indicating that someone has been convicted of a crime. She believes that criminal history is something that should be discussed further in the application and background check process. Clinton said, “We have to take on the continuing abuses where oppression is more prevalent than opportunity. We have to create those channels of opportunity so that we go from childhood to adulthood pursuing your dreams, instead of cradle to prison and seeing them die.” A video from the event at Clark Atlanta University is below.

Clinton then traveled to Charleston, South Carolina where she was the keynote speaker at the NAACP’s 98th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet. Clinton began her speech by thanking Mayor Joe Riley for his service as Charleston’s Mayor and his leadership following the shooting at Mother Emanuel Church. Clinton vowed to work with the NAACP to prevent racial profiling in South Carolina and across the United States. She pledged to work with Democrats and Republicans to pass meaningful criminal justice reform. She said, “Charleston has been through a lot. This state has been through a lot…The murder of the nine innocents at bible study; it renewed the call to do something about the senseless gun violence that stalks this county… Every American should be safe at school, or at the movies, or at church.” A video of Clinton’s full speech is below.

Clinton Wraps up New Hampshire Visit

Today, Hillary Rodham Clinton wrapped up her trip to New Hampshire with two town hall events. She began her day by visiting with patrons at the White Mountain Cafe in Gorham. She then went to Berlin for her first town hall at White Mountain Community College where the focus of her speech was on college affordability. She also spoke about strengthening, not privatizing, Social Security and her plans for health care. She was asked about last night’s Republican debate and said, “I heard a lot of insults and a lot of back and forth between the various candidates. You would have been better off watching the World Series because the debate, in my view, was a swing and a miss.”

Clinton then went to Littleton where she held a town hall at Littleton High School. The town hall was very similar to the one she held earlier in the day in that she answered a number of questions posed by voters. Videos from both of today’s events will be posted when/if available.
