Clinton Attends Fundraisers and Events in Colorado

Today, Hillary Rodham Clinton attended three fundraisers and an organizing event. The fundraisers were all private and closed the press, but we do know that two took place in the Denver area and one in Aspen. Colorado is fast becoming an important state in the 2016 primary and today’s trip marked Clinton’s first visit to the state since announcing her candidacy for president in April.

This evening, Clinton attended a “Commit to Vote” event in Denver. During her speech, she went on the offensive attacking Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush for attacking women’s health funding and Planned Parenthood. She said, “The Bush campaign claims that what Jeb Bush meant to say is we should just de-fund Planned Parenthood, as if that makes it any better. Where women go for cancer screenings and all kinds of other preventive health measures.”

Clinton Attends Private Fundraisers

Clinton attends a private fundraiser in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania earlier this month.

Hillary Rodham Clinton attended two fundraisers today in two different states. In Scranton, Pennsylvania, she attended a private fundraiser. Clinton is well known in the community as the city is the childhood home of her father, Hugh Rodham. She also attended a fundraiser at the Radisson Hotel in Corning, New York. The event was hosted by Corning CEO Wendell Weeks and Corning Chief Financial Officer James Flaws. As with all private fundraisers, the events were not open to the press.

Clinton Attends Two More Private Fundraisers

Today, Hillary Rodham Clinton attended two private fundraisers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The first took place in Newton, Massachusetts at the home of Margot and Jonathan Davis. The second fundraiser was held at the home of Mark Weiner in East Greenwich, Rhode Island with former Providence Mayor Joseph Paolino in attendance.

Clinton’s next scheduled event is the campaign kick-off rally being held on Roosevelt Island in New York. It is scheduled for Saturday, June 13. Until then, follow Clinton on Twitter, Facebook, and her all new Instagram page.

Clinton Attends Connecticut Fundraisers

Today, Hillary Rodham Clinton attended private fundraisers in Greenwich and New Haven, Connecticut. Both fundraisers were closed to the public and her campaign does not comment on private events. Attendees said that her remarks focused on domestic and foreign policy speaking specifically about the Affordable Care Act and Middle East policy.

Clinton Addresses Voting Rights in Texas

Yesterday and today, Hillary Rodham Clinton attended a number of private fundraisers in Texas. However, she capped off her Texas trip with a speech at Texas Southern University in Houston, where she received an award for leadership. The primary focus of her speech was voting rights. She blasted Republicans in states across the country for limiting access to voting with the excuse of limiting voter fraud. Clinton also criticized the Supreme Court’s decision which gutted parts of the Voting Rights Act.

Clinton outlined her plan for voting rights in America saying, “I believe every citizen has the right to vote, and I believe we should make it easier for every citizen to vote.” She outlined her plan in four central points (seen in the Tweet above):

1. Automatic voter registration upon turning 18

2. Restoring the provisions of the Voting Rights Act

3. Expanding early and absentee voting

4. Setting a nationwide standard of in-person voting for 20+ days

Restoring voting rights is certainly going to be one of the cornerstones of her campaign’s platform moving forward. Clinton is expected to begin outlining her platform at a kickoff rally next week (June 13) on Roosevelt Island.

Clinton Attends Private Fundraisers in Georgia and Florida

On Thursday and Friday of this week, Hillary Rodham Clinton spent time attending fundraisers in Georgia and Florida. On Thursday, Clinton made a stop in Atlanta to attend a fundraisers at the home of A.J. Johnson, one of the founding partners of  Georgetown Capital. On Thursday evening, Clinton went to Florida where she attended two fundraisers: one in Coconut Grove (at the home of Clinton friend Ira Leesfield) and Coral Gables (at the home of Nilda Hamilton, the widow of Jose Milton). On Friday, Clinton attended two more private fundraisers. One in Parkland at the home Michael Moskowitz, then at the home of John Morgan in Heathrow. All the fundraisers were private, so no press coverage is available.

Clinton attends California Fundraisers

On Wednesday, Hillary Rodham Clinton attended several private fundraisers in San Francisco. The events were not open to the public or press. After her fundraisers, however, Clinton made a surprise stop at Red Blossom Tea Company in Chinatown where she met with San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee. Lee said that he and Clinton discussed several topics including the challenge in running the city, the economy, homelessness, and immigration.

Clinton continued her trip to California on Thursday by attending three private fundraisers in Los Angeles. All three fundraisers were closed to the public and press. The private events have drawn some criticism and are in contrast to her last three stops in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada, which have been a part of her campaign opening listening tour. Clinton is expected to be back on campaign trail soon.
