On Saturday, Hillary Clinton spent the day in Connecticut and Rhode Island. In New Haven, Connecticut, Clinton held a rountable event that focused on working families. The primary topics of discussion were ways to raise wages, including the minimum wage, promote early childhood education, and reduce the wage gap between men and women. On the topic of equal pay, she said, “Equal pay — we shouldn’t be talking about it in 2016. It is almost embarrassing.” Clinton has returned to holding smaller conversational campaign events as she rallies supporters for next week’s primaries in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Clinton then rallied supporters at an organizing event in Central Falls, Rhode Island. During her speech, Clinton spoke about a number of platform topics including women’s rights, organized labor, health care, immigration reform, gun control, and climate change. She also took a shot at her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders by saying, “I am not making promises I can’t keep.” She praised Rhode Islanders and asked for their support on Tuesday. On Saturday, Bill Clinton campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in upstate New York. He began by attending a Get Out the Vote event in Albany, New York’s capital. During the event, he called Hillary “the best change-maker I’ve ever known” adding that she knows what works and will bring her decades of experience to the White House. Governor Andrew Cuomo and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand also appeared at the event and campaigned for Hillary across the state today. Clinton spoke about a number of his wife’s campaign points before asking for voter support in Tuesday’s primary.
His next campaign event was in Watertown where he spoke about the importance of the 2016 race and the future implications of the November election. He went to speak about a number of Hillary’s platform points including economic growth, something he admitted isn’t happening as quickly for everyone as he would like. The next president will have the power to keep the economy growing, and he said, “I think we are very close to being able to all rise together again if we make the right decision in this campaign.”
In Syracuse, Clinton spoke to a crowd of supporters and stressed Hillary’s record as a New York Senator and how she can take that experience and apply it to the entire country. Clinton said that Hillary visited Syracuse 47 times as Senator and worked with local officials to help the area grow. The economy was the primary focus of his speech and he explained that Hillary will fight for equal pay and higher wages for everyone. He said, “When I was president, we were always in the top 10 percentage of women in the workforce. But it gets harder and harder and harder, when the wages are flat and we’re one of seven countries that doesn’t offer paid leave. When we don’t have an equal pay law and we don’t have affordable child care. Do those three things and we’ll have women flooding back into the workforce in a way that will raise wages for everybody. Raise the minimum wage do those things and we’ll all start growing together again.”
Clinton’s final Get Out the Vote event of the day was in Binghamton where he addressed a crowd of 2,000 supporters. During the event at Binghamton University, he spoke about Hillary’s previous efforts to secure funding for the university and clean energy in the Southern Tier. He also spoke about the rising costs of higher education saying that “every student should be able to graduate from college debt free” and that those paying back student loans should be able to refinance at a lower interest rate. The central argument of his speech was that things in America are still unequal for too many groups. The middle class is not growing, women are not paid equally, and there is still systemic discrimination in many states. Clinton said that Hillary has a plan to break down barriers and ensure that every American can live up to their full potential. Videos from today’s events will be posted when/if available.
Tuesday was Equal Pay Day and Hillary Clinton attended a round table event at Glassdoor where she outlined her plan to raise the wages of women across the country. She called for the passage of the Paycheck Fairness Act which would make it illegal for an employer to fire someone for finding out how much a co-worker makes. Clinton also said she would require every company to review its compensation and evaluate whether women are paid equally. She also vowed to work with states to ensure current equal pay statutes across the country are still being followed. Clinton called for more transparency saying, “There’s not enough transparency, and we don’t know exactly what the pay gaps are in many settings, predominantly in the private sector. We need to use the federal government, the Department of Labor and others, to really encourage more transparency, to get more public information.”

Clinton then traveled to Florida where she attended three fundraisers. The first event was in Manalapan where she attended an event at the home of Marsha and Henry Laufer. Clinton’s second event was in Miami Beach and included a conversation with Congressman Joaquín Castro, Kristin Davis, and Raúl De Molina. Singer Carole King also performed at the event. The final event of the day was held at the Miami Beach home of Tiffany and Alex Heckler. Congressman Castro also attended the event with Hillary.
Today also marks one year since Clinton announced her plans to run for president. Since April 2015, Clinton has received millions in donations, leads in the race for the Democratic nomination, and has rolled out an comprehensive platform. On Monday, Bill Clinton campaigned on behalf of his wife in two states. First, Clinton spoke at a rally in Cheyenne, Wyoming where he talked about Wyoming’s place in the energy economy, especially coal and natural gas. Speaking about the future, he said, “In the end, we’re going to be phasing into a new energy future. It’s going to be a long time, and Wyoming has the most efficient and lowest sulfur (coal) in the world.” He spoke about Hillary’s experience and her plans to help communities that rely heavily on fossil fuel production. He asked supporters to support Hillary in Saturday’s primary. A video from the event will be added when/if available.
In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Clinton spoke to a crowd of supporters on the eve of the state’s primary. Speaking at the Turner Hall Ballroom, he spoke about a number of Hillary’s key platform points including reigning in higher education costs, ensuring equal pay for women, and raising the minimum wage (Hillary was in New York which signed a $15 minimum wage bill into law today). While polls indicate that Hillary trails Democratic rival Bernie Sanders, Bill said that he would not count out Wisconsin voters saying, “You have no choice, but to elect the person who’s got the best ideas, and who is the best person, with a record of leadership for change. That’s Hillary. We need Wisconsin. Go out and work for it. Thank you and God bless you.”
On Friday, Hillary Clinton held two public events in Syracuse, New York. The first was a round table discussion during which she unveiled her plans to boost manufacturing. The plan calls for an investment of $10 billion and is called “Make it in America.” The basic components of the plan include:
The establishment of “Make it in America Partnerships” that make America the first choice for manufacturing production by harnessing regional strengths.
Prevent foreign countries like China from abusing global trade rules, and reject trade agreements that do not meet high standards.
Revitalize the hardest-hit manufacturing communities.
Crack down on companies shipping jobs and earnings overseas – and create incentives for companies to bring back jobs to the U.S.
Invest in America’s manufacturing workforce to ensure that they will always be the best in the world.

Clinton then held a public rally in Syracuse’s Regional Market where she covered a number of topics including her pledge to fight for equal pay for women, making higher education more affordable, and growing the economy of New York and and the country. She also touched on the topic she covered earlier in the day at the small business round table saying, “Upstate New York has a storied history of manufacturing. We now have a chance to recapture that.” While in Syracuse, Clinton also made stop at Varsity Pizza where she posed for pictures and signed basketballs. Clinton also attended two fundraisers today. The first was held before the rally in Syracuse where donors could meet Clinton. She then traveled to New Jersey for a fundraiser in Tenafly.
On Thursday, Hillary Clinton campaigned in three different states. She began in Tampa, Florida where she spoke to a group of supporters at the Ritz Ybor. During the event, Clinton spoke about her plans as president, and she also criticized Florida Governor Rick Scott for turning down federal funds to develop a high speed rail system between Orlando and Tampa. She said, “It makes absolutely no sense, especially when we know that we’re going to have to do high-speed rail if we’re going to have a competitive economy.” A video from the event is below.
Clinton then traveled to Durham, North Carolina where she spoke to a crowd at Hillside High School. During her speech, she covered a wide variety of platform topics including voting rights, women’s rights, heath care, and jobs. She specifically spoke about investment opportunities in North Carolina saying, “That’s why I’m proposing more jobs with infrastructure, manufacturing, and let’s combat climate change with more clean, renewable energy jobs. And yes, let’s invest in more research right here in the Research Triangle. You know what that could mean!”
The final event of the day was held in Vernon Hills, Illinois. During the event, Clinton spoke about a number of her key platform points including clean energy, equal pay, LGBT rights, and gun control. During the event she took shots at her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders and the Republican presidential field, particularly Donald Trump. Directly referencing Trump’s campaign slogan, she said, “I listen to some of the other candidates, they are so pessimistic, so negative about us. I’ll tell you that’s not how I see us and our country. Leading up to this weekend’s and next Tuesday’s primary races, Bill Clinton covered three states in two days campaigning for Hillary Clinton. On Thursday, Clinton spoke to supporters at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. During his remarks, he spoke about his wife’s experience and her plans to move the country forward. He said, “I think if the people of Mississippi stick with us, we’ll have some things we can really talk about.” Mississippi’s primary is on Tuesday.
On Thursday evening, Clinton spoke to a crowd in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he focused on Hillary’s experience and her plans for future. He focused on a number of platform topics including her plans for the economy, jobs, heath care, and addressing systemic racism. He asked supporters to get out and support her in Saturday’s Democratic primary race against Bernie Sanders. A video from the event is below.
On Friday, Clinton remained in Louisiana for an event in New Orleans. Speaking at the Ashe Power House Theater, Clinton spoke about Hillary as a change maker and someone who wants to keep America great. While he never mentioned Republican Donald Trump by name, Clinton took some shots at the front-runner. He also spoke about a number of Hillary’s key platform points, including reducing the cost of higher education, repairing infrastructure, fight the heroin epidemic, and pushing for equal pay for women.
Clinton then traveled to Nebraska where he spoke at the The Waiting Room nightclub in Omaha. During the event, he asked voters to support Hillary in this Saturday’s caucus. He also focused on a number of platform points, including higher education and student debt. He said, “What does she want to do about that? Make college tuition free in every public university in the country, in every historically black university and college in the country and every university that serves first and second generation Americans and other universities that are small with relatively modest tuition and high rates of return.”
Clinton’s final event of the day was a Get Out the Caucus event in Lincoln. At the Lincoln Station Great Hall, Mayor Chris Beutler endorsed Hillary before introducing Clinton. During his speech, Clinton spoke about the wage barriers that exist for too many American families and that Hillary has plans to help expand the middle class. He also spoke about her plans to improve the infrastructure and expand broadband internet. Clinton covered Hillary’s plans to expand background checks before buying a gun saying that the majority of gun owners support background checks. At the end of the speech, he asked voters to support Hillary in Saturday’s caucus saying, “If you want us to rise together…you should vote for the best change maker…vote for Hillary tomorrow.”
In Tampa, Florida tonight, Hillary For America hosted a town hall event on the American military and what can be done help service members and their families during and after their service. Attending the event was retired Brigadier General John Douglass, retired Rear Admiral Michael Smith (ret), Major General Rick Olson, and Jon Murray, National Director of Veterans and Military Families Outreach at Hillary for America.

On the eve of the South Carolina primary, Bill and Chelsea Clinton were in the state supporting Hillary Clinton. Bill gave speeches at two Get Out the Vote events. At each event, in Aiken and Bluffton, Bill spoke about Hillary’s experience and background. He also focused on her plans for the future including her proposed updates to heath care and equal pay for women. He said, “She’s for equal pay and paid leave because only seven countries of the world, that don’t grant any paid leave. Every man in America should be for equal pay, because when you put more women in the workforce and the economy grows and you have more money.” He urged those in attendance to vote in tomorrow’s primary and support Hillary.
Meanwhile, in Charleston, Chelsea visited with patience and families at the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital. She then went to Columbia where she met with local volunteers at a phone bank, then held a town hall event and a Get Out the Vote event. Chelsea spoke about her mother’s platform and stressed the importance of the 2016 race, and she asked voters to support Hillary in tomorrow’s primary.
A fundraiser in support of Hillary for America was also held today in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The fundraiser was hosted by Jim McGovern, John Mahoney, Mike Moore, Candy Mero Carlson, Gerry D’Amico, Kate Donaghue, Jamie Hoag, Steve Kerrigan, Kim Long, and Jason Palitsch. Speaking at the event was former Massachusetts Representative, Barney Frank.

Today, the Clintons were in Iowa on the final day before the caucuses. While Chelsea spent the day traveling with her mom, Bill did attend one solo event. In Iowa City, Bill spoke for an hour about Hillary’s accomplishments and experience before he spoke about several issues that she is going to make a priority if elected president, including health care and education. He then urged caucus goers to support her tomorrow night. He said, “We are going to share the future, the only main issues are the terms on which we share it. Are they going to be positive or negative? She’s the best change maker I have ever known and I hope you caucus for her tomorrow night.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.
Hillary’s first event of the day was in Council Bluffs. After being introduced by Chelsea, she asked the full house to support her in tomorrows caucus and discussed a number of her platform plans. She spoke about equal pay for women, the economy, repairing the country’s infrastructure, and working with other countries to keep us safe.
In Sioux City, Hillary only mentioned Democratic rival Bernie Sanders once when she was referring to her heath care plan and how it differs from his. She promised to make college more affordable, improve the country’s crumbling infrastructure, invest in clean energy, and combat climate change. She repeated her pledge to not raise taxes on those in the middle class as well. Hillary told the crowd, “If you stand up to caucus for me tomorrow (Monday) night, I will stand up for you.”
The final event of the day, and the final event before tomorrow night’s caucuses, was in Des Moines where a crowd of 2,600 turned out to see Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea. After brief speeches by Bill and Chelsea, Hillary took the stage to deliver her closing arguments before the caucus. She attached Republicans for “collective amnesia,” forgetting that it was the very policies that they are proposing that caused the recession. She also spoke about Wall Street and how there were ads funded by Wall Street against her running in Iowa because of her plans to regulate “shadow” banking. She also spoke about climate change, clean energy, and taxes.

On Thursday, Hillary Clinton began the day by attended fundraisers in New York City and a fundraiser in White Plains, New York. During the White Plains event, which also featured Congresswoman Nita Lowey, Clinton spoke about her plans to combat climate change, expand clean energy, expand health care, grow the economy, and continue to pressure Iran to ensure it sticks to the nuclear agreement.
Following her fundraisers, Clinton returned to Iowa where we are only three days from the caucus. She hosted two Get Out the Caucus events, one in Newton and second in Keokuk. In Newton, Clinton focused on education. She spoke about expanding early childhood education and making college education more affordable for everyone. She also covered a number of other platform topics including equal pay for women, updating the tax code to ensure the wealthy pay their fair share, and improving the Affordable Care Act. At the event in Keokuk, Clinton spoke about a number of platform points before opening the floor to questions. In typical town hall fashion, Clinton was asked a number of policy questions, but one man didn’t ask a question. He simply want to tell Clinton that she had convinced him to vote for her. He said, “I was going to vote for Donald Trump. But my daughter brought me here. She was really excited to come here and see you. And after hearing you talk — because all he does is give the exact same speech he gave when he started running for president — you actually have topics, solutions and all that stuff.
