The first was in Columbus, Ohio where she talked about women’s issues and her pledge to defend Planned Parenthood. Her second stop was in Wisconsin, her first visit to the state since launching her presidential campaign. Clinton Addresses Women’s Rights in New Hampshire

BN-KE227_0905hi_G_20150905152240Today, Hillary Rodham Clinton returned to Portsmouth, New Hampshire on the 20th Anniversary of her Beijing speech on women’s rights. The primary topic of her speech in Portsmouth was women’s rights, and she directly criticized Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his disregard for women’s rights. She said, “He [Trump] said he would do a much better job for women than I would. That’s a general election debate that’s going to be a lot of fun. He says he loves women. In fact, to quote him, he ‘cherishes’ us. Well, if it’s all the same to you, Mr. Trump, I’d rather you stop cherishing women and start respecting women.”

On Friday, Hillary Rodham Clinton kicked off her trip to Iowa for the Iowa State Fair. Her visit began as she received the endorsement of former Iowa Senator Tom Harkin. She began the day in Dubuque where she held a town hall discussing college affordability. After unveiling her plan earlier this week, Clinton expanded upon her proposal explaining that she would raise taxes on those who are more wealthy to help off-set the cost. The plan, which would cost $350 billion over 10 years, will make college more affordable and help those with student loans. “We have to make a quality education affordable and available without saddling young people with decades of debt,” she said. Clinton then spent time answering questions from the audience. A full video from the event is below.

Friday evening, Clinton attended the Iowa Democratic Wing Ding. She gave a speech to a large, receptive crowd, and she continued to talk about college affordability. But also used the opportunity to attack her Republican rivals by criticizing the their record and how strikingly similar the candidates appear. She said, “Don’t let the circus distract you, if you look at their policies, most of the other candidates are just Trump without the pizzazz or the hair. Yes, Mr. Trump says outrageous and hateful things about immigrants but how many of the other candidates disagree with him?” A full video from the Wing Ding is available on MSNBC. Clinton begins speaking at 1:12:12.

On Saturday, Clinton will spend the majority of the day at the fair. Follow along on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Clinton also recently joined Snapchat @HillaryClinton.

Clinton Returns to Arkansas

071815_hillary_clinton_1_ap_1160x629Hillary Rodham Clinton began her Saturday morning by attending a private fundraiser in Davenport, Iowa where she spoke about a wide variety of topics including the recent nuclear agreement with Iran. After leaving Iowa, Clinton returned to a state she knows well, Arkansas. Since her husband, Bill Clinton, was governor of the state, Arkansas has become a Republican strong hold. Clinton’s appearance at the Arkansas Democratic Party’s annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Little Rock was intended to boost the party.

During her speech, Clinton addressed a number of topics including points she made in her economic speech earlier in the week. She also addressed comments made by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump who questioned the heroism of Senator John McCain, who was held prisoner during his tour of duty in Vietnam. Clinton called Trump’s comments “shameful” defended McCain, who she has called a friend, saying “there’s nothing funny about the hate [Trump] is spewing at immigrants and families — and now the insults he has directed at a genuine war hero, Sen. John McCain.” A video of Clinton’s speech is below (Note: Clinton’s speech begins at the 7:20 mark).

This coming week, Clinton is expected to make appearances in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Until then, follow Clinton on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for all the latest updates.

Clinton Address National Council of La Raza Conference

Hillary Rodham Clinton addressed the National Council of La Raza Conference in Kansas City, Missouri this afternoon. During her speech, she built upon her economic speech from earlier in the day and referenced the economic inequality in the Latino community. She promised to fight for better economic opportunities and comprehensive immigration reform.

Clinton was not the only Democratic presidential candidate to speak at the conference. Senator Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley were also featured speakers. All three candidates spoke about the similar topics, and all three attacked Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his comments disparaging Latino  immigrants. Trump’s presidential opponents were slow to speak out against his comments, a fact which Clinton called out asking, “Why did it take weeks for most of you to speak out?”

Tomorrow, Clinton is expected to be in Washington, DC where she will meet with Democrats on Capitol Hill. For all the latest campaign news, be sure to follow along on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
