On Monday, Tim Kaine wrapped up a bus tour in Florida focusing on early voting. His first event was in Miami where he spoke to a crowd of supporters on the campus of Florida International University. During his speech, Kaine spoke about the a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points including creating new jobs, raising the minimum wage, and making college more affordable. He then spoke about the Florida Senate race criticizing Senator Marco Rubio for attacking Donald Trump, but backing him for president. “He called Donald Trump ‘dangerous,’ and he called Donald Trump a ‘con artist,’ but he’s supporting Donald Trump. I mean, ‘Con Artists for Trump.’ I don’t get it,” he said. Kaine spoke about the importance of voting in this election and urged everyone to take advantage of Florida’s early voting. Kaine’s second and final event was in West Palm Beach where he focused on the issues that are importance to him and Clinton such as health care, education, and the economy. Kaine, again, focused on the importance of voting in the election and the role that Florida plays in the election. He said that Florida is key to their victory adding, “You really are a checkmate state. That’s more than a battleground state. … If we win for Hillary here, it’s over. She’s going to be president.” He urged everyone to get out and vote saying, “We can’t take anything for granted because this is the season of surprise.” A video of Kaine’s speech is below.
Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine campaigned together in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Their first event was in Pittsburgh where Kaine began by speaking about Clinton and their vision for the future. When Clinton took the stage, she had a populist tone speaking about a number of her key platform points including her plans to create jobs, invest in manufacturing jobs, raise the minimum wage, and her pledge to not raise taxes on middle class families. While she admitted that the campaign between her and Republican Donald Trump has been anything by calm, she hoped that everyone can come together after the election because we all have a stake in America’s future. “You probably know people who are thinking about voting for Donald Trump. I want you to tell them that I understand that they need a president who cares about them … and I want to be their president. Whether you vote for me or against me, I believe we can disagree without being disagreeable,” she added later. A video from the event is below.
Clinton and Kaine then traveled to Philadelphia where he spoke first about Clinton saying that despite what Trump says, he thinks that Clinton “looks damn presidential.” She then spoke to a crowd of over 7,000 supporters on a cool evening about the importance of the 2016 election and voting a Clinton-Kaine ticket to the White House, but she also stressed the importance of other down ballot races, especially the Pennsylvania race for Senate. She spoke about Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Katie McGinty and how she will work for Pennsylvanians in Congress. Clinton then urged everyone to vote on November 8th adding, “Friends don’t let friends vote Donald Trump.” A video from the rally is below.

Meanwhile, two fundraisers were held on behalf of Hillary for America. The first was in Durham, North Carolina and featured a conversation with actress Angela Bassett. In Long Beach, California, a fundraising event was held featuring a conversation with singer Cher.
Tim Kaine returned to Pennsylvania on Friday where he campaigned on the campus of Penn State University. Speaking to a large crowd, Kaine outlined what President Hillary Clinton would focus on if elected president. He spoke about her plans to build the economy, give small businesses access to more resources, promote equality and access, and create new jobs by investing in the country’s infrastructure and manufacturing sector. Kaine also spoke about college affordability and ensuring that those currently repaying student loans can refinance their debt at lower interest rates. He also spoke about Clinton’s plan to guarantee that future students graduate debt-free. On student loans, Kaine said, “You should not have to mortgage your future to prepare for your future.” Watch a video of Kaine’s speech below.
On Thursday, First Lady Michelle Obama campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Phoenix, Arizona. Obama spoke to a crowd of over 7,000 about the optimistic vision for America offered by Clinton and her campaign platform. She condemned Donald Trump for his hateful rhetoric, and she blasted his refusal to say that he would accept the results of the 2016 election, regardless of the outcome. She said, “You don’t keep American democracy in suspense.” Obama then spoke about the importance of voting and how Arizona will play a vital role in this election. She admitted that this election cycle has been rough, but she said, “Do not let yourself get tired or frustrated or disgusted by everything you’ve seen in this campaign. Please, be encouraged. I have traveled the world, and I am telling you we still live in the greatest country on earth. We have every reason to be hopeful. Remember that in difficult times, we don’t give up. We don’t discard our highest ideals. No! We rise up to meet them. We rise up to perfect our union. That is the power of hope!” Watch a video of Obama’s speech below.
Tim Kaine attended three campaign events on Wednesday. The first two events were in Ohio, and he began by speaking at a canvass kick-off event in Upper Arlington. Kaine spoke about the importance of Ohio in this election and urged supporters and volunteers to canvass for Hillary Clinton. “Donald Trump cannot be president without Ohio. That means you’ve got this election right in the palm of your hands, Ohio,” he said. Kaine wrapped up by urging everyone to vote on November 8th. A video form the event is below.
Kaine then traveled to Springfield where he spoke to a crowd of supporters about the importance of 2016 election and Clinton’s plans to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to prosper in America. As in Upper Arlington, he spoke about the importance of Ohio and urged voters to reject the hateful rhetoric spread by the Trump campaign. Kaine also went after Trump for comments he made about women saying, “To just say this is the way men are, this is the real Donald Trump. Kaine’s final event of the day was in Asheville, North Carolina where he spoke to supporters on the campus of the University of North Carolina-Asheville. Kaine attacked Trump for spreading the idea that the American democracy is rigged. Now (Trump) is attacking American democracy itself. Donald Trump is now perpertrating the lie that, ‘Oh the election is all set against me.’ We know what’s going on: He’s losing. Donald Trump has never been willing to take responsibility for anything so it’s not like he’s going to stand up and say, ‘Well, I lost. I guess must have run a divisive campaign.’ … If he loses, it’s going to be somebody else’s fault and so he’s he’s going around saying the election’s set against him.” Watch a video of the rally below.
Anne Holton, Kaine’s wife, was in Iowa where she held events in four cities. Her first event was in Des Moines where she held a discussion with local educators and parents about bullying in schools. Holton then spoke at early voting events in Ottumwa and Burlington. At each event, she encouraged everyone to get out and vote on, or before, election day. Senator Bernie Sanders campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Michigan today. His first event was held in Dearborn where he spoke to a crowd of supporters at the local UAW hall. During his speech, Sanders spoke about a number of Hillary’s platform points including her plan to create jobs and her support of labor unions. He also went after Donald Trump for avoiding to pay income taxes. Overall, however, Sanders offered a populist tone saying, “This campaign is not about Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton — it is about you and your families. We’re not voting for class president of our high school … we are fighting for the survival of the middle class.” A video from the event is below.
Sanders then traveled to Ann Arbor where he spoke to an enthusiastic crowd on the campus of the University of Michigan. During the event, Sanders spoke about the importance of voting, particularly young people, and urged them to get out and vote in November. He spoke about a number of Hillary’s platform points and specifically focused on her plans to reduce the cost of higher education. He said, “What she said is, I should tell the American people that in the first 100 days of her administration she will roll out a very specific plan to make public colleges and universities tuition free for all families earning less than $125,000 a year. In Lansing, Sanders spoke to a crowd of students and supporters on the campus of Michigan State University. Sanders continued to speak about a number of Hillary’s platform points while going after Trump for his policies. Focusing on the economy and the struggle of the middle class, he said, “We have come a long way in fighting racism, sexism, homophobia. But today we have one huge struggle in front of us, and that is the economic struggle. And that means that we should not be living in a nation which has more wealth and income inequality than any other major country on earth.” A video of Sanders speech is below.
Sanders’ final event of the day was a rally in Grand Rapids. During the event, Sanders continued with his populist tone talking about the local economy and how a number Hillary’s proposals will be beneficial to the area. He spoke about raising the minimum wage and creating new good paying jobs in the area by reinvesting in manufacturing and clean energy. A video from the event will be posted when/if available.
Chelsea Clinton meanwhile was in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she spoke about Hillary’s plans to help mothers and families. During the event, Chelsea highlighted a number of Hillary’s platform points including her plans to cap the out of pocket costs of childcare, ensure that women are paid equally, raise the minimum wage, and create new jobs by investing in infrastructure and clean energy. Chelsea also spoke about the public perception of her mother saying, “I don’t understand the caricature of my mom. I wish more people could see the huggable, lovable, hilarious side of her that I see now when we are together, with my children, and that I have known my whole life.” Chelsea closed out the event by answering questions from those in attendance. In Los Angeles, California, a fundraiser was held on behalf of Hillary for America. The event featured a conversation with Senator Al Franken.
On Thursday, Hillary Clinton spoke to a crowd of supporters at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Clinton began by addressing the North Carolina voting laws saying that, as a country, we should be working to expand early voting, not limit it. She said, “Now North Carolina has been trying to restrict people’s right to vote. The federal court just struck down this state’s voter ID law.” Clinton then spoke about a number of platform points including lowering the debt burden of college students, creating new jobs, increasing the minimum wage, and ensuring that the economy grows and benefits everyone and not only those at the top. In Kansas City, Missouri, Clinton addressed the annual National Baptist Convention. Speaking with the gathered group of ministers from across the country, Clinton quoted scripture and relayed stories growing up in a religious family. Clinton spoke about humility saying, “Our greatest leaders are often the most humble because they recognize both the awesome responsibilities of power and the frailty of human action.” During her speech, Clinton did not mention Donald Trump by name, however, she did speak about her rival saying that he does not understand religion or the African American community. On Monday, Bill Clinton campaigned for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine at an event in Durham, North Carolina. Bill addressed a crowd of supporters at the Community Family Life and Recreation Center at Lyon Park where he spoke about Hillary’s plans to introduce comprehensive immigration reform and work to make higher education more affordable. “If you go to a public college, a historically black college and university, or any other private college that has a preponderance of middle- and lower-income students … if your (family’s) income is $125,000 a year or less, you get free tuition,” he said. On immigration, Bill spoke about the contribution to the economy made by immigrants and how offering a path to citizenship will benefit to the United States. A video of his speech is below.
Meanwhile, in New York City, Chelsea Clinton attended a fashion show and rooftop party fundraising event at Spring Studios. The event was hosted by Anna Wintour and Huma Abedin and featured a performance by Demi Lovato. In Amsterdam, Holland, a fundraiser was held for American citizens and featured a conversation with Timothy Broas, Former United States Ambassador to the Netherlands.
On Thursday, Vice President spoke at two campaign events in Ohio in support of Hillary Clinton. At the first event in Warren, Biden spoke to a crowd of supporters at the United Auto Workers Local 1714 hall. Biden, like Clinton, included local references in his speech. He spoke about the importance of the automakers in Ohio and their successful turnaround following the recession in 2008 and 2009. He then spoke about a number of topics including Clinton’s record as a public servant and her dedication to the country, her plans for the economy and building jobs, and his ties to Ohio. Biden then went after Donald Trump for being ignorant of foreign affairs saying, “He is totally, thoroughly, completely uninformed.” A video from the event is below.
Biden then spoke at a rally outside of Cleveland in Parma. During his speech, the Vice President continued to go after Trump, but he focused more of his time on Clinton’s experience and his middle class roots. He told stories about his father’s job and his family’s money problems saying that his father couldn’t qualify for a loan to help him pay for college. When it comes to the struggles of the middle class, Biden said, “Hillary gets it, man. Trump has no idea. He has no idea.” A video from the event is below.

On Sunday, Hillary Clinton held a rally in Staten Island, New York where she spoke to a crowd of about 1,000 supporters. During her speech at Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Clinton touted her record and her years of service as a New York senator. She then outlined a number of points of her platform. Clinton spoke at length about her record of bipartisanship and criticized politicians who are “partisan for the sake of being partisan.” She said that bipartisanship is what the American people expect and deserve to ensure things get done. Three fundraisers were also held today in support of Hillary for America. The first was held in Providence, Rhode Island was focused on LGBT issues. Attending the fundraiser was Former Congressman Barney Frank and Congressman David Cicilline. Meanwhile, Senior Policy Advisor Jake Sullivan attended two fundraisers for American citizens living in London.
Hillary Clinton Speeches
