Bill Clinton Campaigns in OH, Chelsea in PA

On Friday, Bill Clinton campaigned for Hillary Clinton in Ohio at events in Delaware and Cincinnati. At both events, Bill focused on the issues and Hillary’s plans to held grow the economy and support the middle class. In Delaware, Bill was interrupted by protestors which led him to address anger. He said that he understand why people are mad at the political system, but he explained that anger may feel good, but it does not achieve results. “Anger and resentment and conflict may win a lot of attention, but it won’t put a single soul to work, it won’t save a single life in a complicated world, it won’t give a single person … a chance to fulfill their dreams,” he said. Chelsea Clinton was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she attended two events. Her first event was a Women for Hillary event where she spoke about Hillary’s plans to ensure equal pay for women and paid family leave. She also spoke about the hateful rhetoric being spewed by Donald Trump, and in particular his comments about women. “I never thought I would see in lifetime the type of rhetoric we’ve heard from Donald Trump and his campaign. We have to stand against the normalization of hate speech,” she said. Chelsea then answered questions from those in attendance.

Chelsea then spoke at the University of Pittsburgh where she focused on Hillary’s plans to reduce student loan interest rates for those currently repaying student loans, making public college tuition free for families making less than $125,000 per year, and ensuring equal rights for women and the LGBTQ community. Bill, Chelsea Clinton Campaign for Hillary on Thursday

Today, Bill Clinton continued his bus tour in Iowa with stops in Mount Vernon and Davenport. At his first event in Mount Vernon, Bill spoke with supporters on the campus of Cornell College. He focused on the issues saying that we, as a country, can do better than Donald Trump, and that his message is divisive at a time when we need more unity. Bill continued saying that the “us versus them” mentality is not productive. He urged everyone to vote on November 8th because this election will set the tone for the country for the next four years. Bill wrapped up his bus tour in Iowa at an event in Davenport. During the event, Bill was interrupted by protestors and Trump supporters that were removed by local police. He responded to the protests by criticizing Trump’s message saying, “If you serve poison for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a year and a half, somebody’s going to drink it and give it back.” Bill then continued with his usual campaign speech in which he outlined Hillary’s platform points and an optimistic view of the future. “You want to elect somebody President who believes everybody’s got a story. Everybody deserves human dignity. Everybody deserves a chance to live their dreams. We all do better when we work together,” he said. Videos from the events will be posted when/if available.

Chelsea Clinton spoke with supporters at an organizing event on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono, Maine. Chelsea outlined her mother’s plan for the United States and her focus on economic equality. She said that she understands the anger with the current political system, but that Hillary will fight for those who need a voice. “I’m really proud that she does sweat the details, even though her opponent criticizes her for being too prepared. Because if it’s your child or your family or the future of our planet those are (important) details, so I’m so proud of my mom and of her campaign and even more her life of work and advocacy, because this election is about our future but it’s ultimately about our values.” A video of Chelsea’s speech is below.

Bill Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders Campaign for Hillary

On Saturday, Bill Clinton campaigned for Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin at an event in Greenfield. Speaking at a local union hall, Bill spoke about a number of Hillary’s key platform points including her plans to raise the minimum wage, lower the cost of higher education, and build the middle class. He framed Hillary as the candidate that will help those who have been “left out and left behind.” He spoke about the importance of continuing the progress made over the last few years and said Hillary is the only candidate who will continue to the accomplishments of the current administration. Senator Bernie Sanders, meanwhile, remained on the campaign trail attending two events in Pennsylvania. Sanders’ first event was in Scranton where he spoke to a group of supporters at Scranton High School. During his speech, he said that Hillary will fight for equal pay for women, the expansion of health care, laws that ensure the “billionaire class” pays its fair share of taxes, and a reduction in the cost of higher education. Sanders also referred to Hillary’s opponent, Donald Trump, saying, “We cannot elect a president of the United States whose cornerstone of his campaign is bigotry and dividing us up. In Philadelphia, Sanders spoke about the same platform points during his speech, but he also underscored the importance of electing Hillary over Trump. This is especially true following the release of an audio recording that captured Trump using crude and derogatory language to describe women. Sanders went after Trump saying, “I think you’ve got a spoiled brat. I think you’ve got a person who grew up very very wealthy who thinks that he is entitled to do anything that he wants.” He said that Trump’s comments were inexcusable, and he needs “to take responsibility for his own actions.” A video from the Philadelphia rally is below.

Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren Campaign for Hillary

Senator Bernie Sanders remained on the campaign trail on behalf of Hillary Clinton on Friday with events in New Hampshire and Maine. In New Hampshire, Sanders spoke at rallies in Keene and Nashua. During each event, he spoke about Hillary Clinton’s plans to continue economic growth, create new jobs by investing in infrastructure and manufacturing, increase the minimum wage, reform the criminal justice system, and reduce the cost of higher education. Sanders also criticized Republican Donald Trump for his divisive language and his policies that benefit the wealthy. A video from his speech in Keene is below.

Sanders’ final event was in Bangor, Maine where he urged voters to look beyond the personalities of the two presidential candidates and focus on the issues. He argued that only Clinton’s plans would benefit the middle and working classes. Sanders blasted trump for running a bigoted and insult-driven campaigning adding, “When you run for president of the United States, there has got to be at least a minimum threshold of decency.” A video from the Bangor event is below.

Senator Elizabeth Warren campaigned in Wisconsin where she spoke in support of Clinton and US Senate hopeful Russ Feingold. At her first stop in Madison, Warren spoke about the importance of voting in the upcoming election and the platform of Clinton. She also spoke about the importance of electing Clinton president and Feingold to the Senate so they can continue the progress made over the last eight years and continue with a progressive agenda. Warren has not been shy of her criticism of Trump, and she did not back off in Madison. Her second event was in Milwaukee where she urged voters to get out and support the campaign by volunteering and ensuring that people are informed. She also urged voters to take advantage of early voting if they are unable to make it to the polls on November 8. Warren’s speech was similar to the one she gave in Madison early in the day in which she outlined key parts of Clinton’s platform and called out Trump. Chelsea Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders Campaign for Hillary

On Wednesday, Chelsea Clinton campaigned on behalf of her mother, Hillary Clinton, in Iowa. She spoke at events in Dubuque and Sioux City, and focused on the importance of voting at both. She encouraged everyone who is unable to vote on November 8 to take advantage of early voting in Iowa, which is currently under way. Chelsea also spoke about a number of her mother’s platform points including reforming the Department of Veterans Affairs, continuing to improve the health care system, and Hillary’s plans to help rural Americans. Senator Bernie Sanders campaigned for Hillary today in Iowa and Wisconsin. His first event was in Des Moines where he spoke to supporters at Drake University. During the event, Sanders spoke about Hillary’s economic plan and her proposals to ensure a college education is affordable, help students who are in debt refinance at lower interest rates, create new jobs across the country by investing in the country’s infrastructure and expanding clean energy. Sanders then traveled to Madison, Wisconsin for an event supporting both Hillary and U.S. Senate candidate Russ Feingold. Sanders said that he supports Hillary because she supports a progressive platform and will fight for it as president. He then outlined a number of the issues she will work on as president including raising the minimum wage, creating a public option for health care, reforming the criminal justice system, and implementing campaign finance reform. He stressed that Hillary is better then the alternative, Republican Donald Trump, saying, “We will not allow bigotry to resurface in the United States of America. Sanders’ final event of the day was in Green Bay where he continued to focus on Clinton’s dedication to progress. He spoke about similar points as he had in Des Moines and Madison earlier in the day, but the Senator was greeted warmly. Sanders, an Independent from Vermont, has been on the campaign trail for Hillary since the Democratic National Convention in July. As Hillary’s former rival for the Democratic nomination, he has repeatedly said that he is dedicated to electing Hillary president in November. Bill Clinton and Senators Sanders and Warren Campaign for Hillary

Today, Bill Clinton kicked off his bus tour in Ohio. His first event was a rally in Athens where he spoke to a crowd of supporters about how Hillary Clinton has offered answers during the campaign while her rival, Donald Trump, has only offered anger. “This is a time of resentment for everybody. We are making a terrible mistake spending our time biting each others’ heads off … We ought to be for Hillary Clinton and yourself.” Bill went on to speak about a number of Hillary’s platform points including her focus on the middle class and creating new jobs. Bill then spoke at a rally in Steubenville. During the event, Bill spoke about a number of Hillary’s key platform points and the importance of the 2016 election. Speaking at the Harding Middle School gymnasium, Bill addressed some protesters outside of the venue that were holding signs about coal country. He said, “I saw those signs outside. I just want to say, [Ms. Clinton] was the first and is now the only candidate to say we’ve got to do something about coal country. We’ve got to do something about these rural pockets and these inner cities that have been totally left out of this economic recovery. We’ve got to invest in these areas. You can’t leave anybody behind here. And that’s what this election is about. If we do this we’re going to rise together.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.

In Minnesota, Senator Bernie Sanders campaigned for Hillary in Minneapolis. During the event, Sanders spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and ensuring that Trump is defeated saying, “Our job is to elect Hillary Clinton as president but to also understand that our job is not done just by electing Secretary Clinton. On the day after, we continue the movement. Our job under President Hillary Clinton is to see [the most progressive platform, the Democratic platform] is implemented.” Sanders also spoke about a number of those platform points including reducing the cost of higher education and the debt burden for those who have graduated from college. In the evening, Sanders held a rally in Duluth on the local campus of the University of Minnesota. He spoke about the importance of electing Hillary over Trump because she is supportive of a progressive agenda. Sanders spoke about a number of issues facing the country including affordable college education, helping the middle class, and addressing climate change. Senator Elizabeth Warren and Catherine Corteza Masto spoke at a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada. During her speech, Warren went after Trump for his comments about women and his rants on Twitter. She also attacked Nevada U.S. Senate candidate Joe Heck for supporting Trump and his rhetoric. “Trump calls women fat pigs and bimbos and tries to shame a former beauty pageant winner on Twitter at 3 o’clock in the morning and Joe Heck still sticks with him. On Monday, Bill Clinton campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Michigan. His first event was in Saginaw where he spoke about Hillary’s plans in detail saying, “We need a change to broadly shared prosperity. You have to have plans to do that.” Bill contrasted the plans of Hillary with those of Donald Trump saying that what we need a country are answers and not anger, empowerment over resentment, and bridges instead of walls. Bill then traveled to Flint where he spoke about inequality and unity. He said that Hillary is about more than just jobs and that her “Stronger Together” is more than a motto, it is a framework for the country. Bill detailed a number of Hillary’s platform points including her plans to create jobs, invest in the country’s infrastructure and clean energy, improve health care by expanding Medicare and Medicaid, and making college more affordable. Kaine Campaigns in Florida

On Monday, Tim Kaine campaigned in Florida beginning with a rally in Lakeland. During his speech, Kaine spoke about a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points and about her personally. He framed her as a hard worker with supporters on both sides of the aisle saying, “Even when folks have been battling with her about stuff, she knows them. And in the Senate, which I know better than the House, there’s high regard for her work ethic, (and a view that) we can work together with her.” Kaine also spoke about tonight’s debate between Clinton and Republican Donald Trump saying he is anxious to see Trump answer for a number of his lies. Kaine then traveled to Orlando where he attended a roundtable discussion with a group of Latino community leaders. During the event, Kaine spoke about the importance of Latino voters and urged them to register. He also spoke about Clinton’s proposals for immigration reform and how they are starkly different from those of Trump. “We should be a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws. Our focus shouldn’t be on deportation en masse, it should be on people who pose serious safety challenges,” he said. A series of fundraisers were held today on behalf of Hillary for America. The first was a Disability Action for Hillary event in Washington, DC. The event featured a conversation with Eric H. On Sunday, Senator Elizabeth Warren campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Cleveland, Ohio. Speaking at Cleveland State University, she was joined by former Ohio Gov. Kaine, Bill Clinton, Senator Warren Campaign for Hillary on Friday

On Friday, campaign events were held across on the country on behalf of Hillary Clinton and featured speeches from Tim Kaine, Bill Clinton, and Senator Elizabeth Warren. Kaine began in Birmingham, Alabama where he attended a fundraiser, toured the 16th Street Baptist Church, and spoke to the press about Donald Trump’s divisive rhetoric and the allegations that the Trump Foundation illegally gave campaign donations to the Florida state Attorney General. Kaine then returned to his home state of Virginia where he and his wife, Anne Holton, attended a rally in Norfolk. During his speech, Kaine spoke about his time in Virginia where he has served a Governor and is currently one of the state’s Senators. Kaine spoke about a number of Clinton’s platform points and went after Donald Trump for his praise of dictators saying, “If you can’t tell the difference between leadership and dictatorship, you wouldn’t have passed a fifth-grade civics exam. You shouldn’t be a president of the United States. … Tyranny is not leadership. Persecution is not leadership.” A video from the event is below.

In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bill campaigned on behalf of his wife and spoke about a number of Hillary’s platform points and criticized a number of proposals made by Trump. Bill spoke about the importance of this election, but said that can sympathize with the anger that many voters and Trump supporters are feeling. He warned, “Don’t substitute anger for answers. Don’t substitute resentment for responsibility. Remember empowerment comes from being stronger together. We can do it. You can do it. The final event of the day was a speech by Senator Warren who campaigned on behalf of Hillary in Philadelphia. Warren spoke to a crowd of supporters about the importance of defeating Trump and electing Hillary in November. She covered a number of Hillary’s proposals before delivering a series of one-liners attacking Trump. In her speech, Warren referred to Trump as “the large orange elephant in the room,” called the controversial Trump University “Scam University,” and went after his praise of Russian president Vladimir Putin.
