Clinton Releases Final TV Ad of the Campaign

Hillary Clinton will deliver a special 2-minute national closing message tonight in a television ad that lays out the choice in this election and the type of president she wants to be for the entire country. The 2-minute closing message ad is airing to an estimated 20 million people Monday night during the shows with the largest audience available – the Voice (NBC) and Kevin Can Wait (CBS).

In the personal and positive closing message, Clinton makes the case that people are rejecting a campaign “defined by fear and division” and choosing one that is “hopeful and inclusive.” She also lays out a hopeful future for our country saying she’s “convinced our best days are still ahead of us, if we reach for them together” and pledged to “be a President for all Americans.  Not just those who support me in this election — for everyone.” And, she makes clear her mission as President will be “To give our kids – and every American — the chance to live up to their God-given potential.”

Sunday Morning Talk Show Roundup: Kaine, Podesta, Benenson

On Sunday morning, representatives for Hillary for America made the talk show rounds and spoke about the final strategies before Tuesday’s election. Tim Kaine was on CBS’s Face the Nation and John Dickerson and Kaine discussed the affect the FBI investigation has had on the campaign. “We’ve seen it add to the energy on our side. People on our side view this campaign as so important, the ‘Stronger Together’ message as so important and people don’t want it to be distracted. So there has been a great uptick in energy on our side in the early vote,” Kaine said. Watch a video of the full interview below.

John Podesta was interviewed on ABC’s This Week and NBC’s Meet the Press. During each interview, Podesta explained that while he is optimistic, the Clinton campaign is leaving nothing to chance before election. Podesta was also asked about the leaks of information coming out of the FBI and Podesta responded saying, “I think the men and women of the FBI are doing a tremendous job out here across the country. HFA representative Joel Benenson was interviewed on this morning’s episode of Fox News Sunday. Benenson was asked about the FBI investigation into Clinton’s email and the campaign’s strategy for the final days of the campaign. Tim Kaine Makes Sunday Morning Show Circuit

This morning, Tim Kaine appeared on three of the Sunday morning news shows: ABC’s This Week, CBS’s Face the Nation, and Fox News Sunday. During each of the interviews, Kaine focused on the WikiLeaks email leaks and Russia’s alleged role in hacking and how Donald Trump and his campaign were also involved. Kaine stressed that it is possible that the emails released by WikiLeaks have been “doctored.” Kaine said, “I don’t think it’s funny when you have a nation like Russia that has engaged in activity to destabilize elections in countries. How to Watch: Clinton and Trump’s First Debate

Tonight, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump will face off for the first in a series of three presidential debates. The debate will begin at 9 p.m. ET and last for 90 minutes. NBC’s Lester Holt will moderate tonight’s debate and the announced topics of the debate will be America’s Direction, Achieving Prosperity, and Securing America. You can watch the debate on all four major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, PBS), all the news networks (CNN, CNBC, CSPAN, Fox News, and MSNBC), and the debate will be live streamed on Facebook and Twitter.

Bill Clinton Interviewed by Charlie Rose

On Monday, Bill Clinton sat down or an interview with Charlie Rose. A portion of the interview aired during the CBS Evening News and the rest will air on PBS’s NewsHour. During the interview, Clinton discussed a number of topics including his support for Hillary Clinton’s campaign, he defended the Clinton Foundation, and he gave an update on Hillary’s health following her pneumonia diagnosis. He said that the decision to cancel a few days of campaigning was a good choice so she can properly recover. “I was glad today she made a decision, which I think was correct, to cancel her campaign day to take one more day to rest. But she looked like a million bucks this morning I can tell she’s feeling a lot better.” Clips from the interview are below.

Kaine Talks with Stephen Colbert

Tim Kaine was interviewd on Thursday’s spisode of CBS’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Kaine and Colbert discussed a number of topics including the moment that he recieved the phone call from Hillary Clinton asking to be her running mate. Kaine also owned up to his “dadhood” as many have commented on his dad-like personality. He responded to Colbert’s jokes, “I’ve been prepared for that for 26 years because I have three children who have been ripping on me and saying those things about me since they were born.” A video of the interview is below.

Clinton, Kaine Interviewed by “60 Minutes”

On Sunday evening, Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine sat down with CBS’s “60 Minutes” for their first joint interview. Sitting down with Scott Pelley, Clinton discussed her selection of Kaine, the recent Republican National Convention, and what she plans to call Donald Trump in response to his insults. Clinton respond, “I don’t call him anything. And I’m not going to engage in that kind of insult fest that he seems to thrive on. So whatever he says about me, he’s perfectly free to use up his own air time and his own space to do. I’m going to talk about what he’s done, how he has hurt people in business time after time after time.” The interview is split into two parts and both can be watched HERE.
