On Friday, Hillary Clinton spoke at an event on the campus of Georgetown University. She spoke about the importance of women being in leadership in America and around the world. She stressed the importance of women taking part in peace negotiations and the peace process. Clinton said that when women are involved “peace negotiations [and] agreements are less likely to fail and more likely to last.” Clinton’s backed up her claim with data from United Nations Women. The speech was her second this week, and she took the opportunity to take a swipe at President Donald Trump saying, “Here I go again, talking about research, evidence, and facts.” Watch a video from the event below and read a transcript of Clinton’s speech HERE.
Late this past week, Hillary Clinton spoke with audiences at two major New England Colleges. First, on Thursday evening, Clinton spoke at a private, student and faculty only event on the campus of Wellesley College. As Clinton’s Alma Mater, the event focused on Clinton’s time at the school and her political career. Clinton spoke briefly and took questions from the audience. According to sources inside the room, Clinton was asked by one audience member about what she would have changed about her campaign. She responded simply, “I’d win.” Clinton graduated from Wellesley College in 1969 and is scheduled to give this year’s commencement address in May.
On Friday, Clinton took part in a series of “Fireside Chats” on the campus of Harvard University. Clinton’s appearance was part of the “American Secretaries of State Project: Diplomacy, Negotiation, and Statecraft” series sponsored by the Kennedy School, Law School, and Business School. She met with undergraduate members of the IOP’s Student Advisory Committee and a few lucky residents of Kirkland House. Clinton is the seventh former Secretary of State to take part in the series. Like the event at Wellesley College, it was closed to the public and press.
Tim Kaine and Anne Holton campaigned in North Carolina and Virginia on the final day of the campaign. Kaine and Holten began the day in North Carolina where they spoke at events in Charlotte and Wilmington. Kaine spoke about the importance of the election and the high stakes for the future of the country. He urged North Carolinians to get out and vote tomorrow because they are a key battleground state in this election. “Everybody’s watching you, North Carolina. If Hillary wins in North Carolina, take it to the bank, she’s president of the United States,” he said. Kaine urged everyone to consider the future and vote tomorrow. Kaine and Holton returned to Virginia where they held an event on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax. They were joined by Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden. The vice president spoke briefly introducing Kaine. When Kaine took the stage, he spoke about being back in Virginia and what is at stake in this election. He urged everyone to get out and vote tomorrow saying that he was proud of Virginia. “I like the energy I’m seeing in Virginia,” he said. A video from the event will be posted when/if available.
Kaine and Holton held their final event of the campaign in their hometown of Richmond. Kaine said that it was nice to be back in Virginia before asking everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday. Like Clinton, he spoke about the far reaching affects this election will have on the country’s future and urged everyone to consider the different visions of America presented by Trump and Clinton. President Barack Obama campaigned for Hillary Clinton and down ballot Democrats in two states on the eve of the election. After being introduced by Chelsea Clinton in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Obama stressed the importance of electing Hillary Clinton because her vision for America will continue the progress made over the last eight years. He said, “I feel I’ve earned some credibility here. Plants that were closing when I took office are working double shift now. … When I tell you Donald Trump is not the guy who is going to work for you, you need to listen. … Don’t be bamboozled.” He went after Trump and called him “uniquely unqualified” to president. Obama concluded his speech by asking everyone to consider the future and vote tomorrow. Watch a video from the event tomorrow.
Obama then traveled to Durham, New Hampshire where he spoke with supporters about Clinton’s vision for the future and criticized Trump’s divisive rhetoric. Speaking to a packed crowd on the campus of University of New Hampshire, Obama urged everyone to get out and vote, and, more importantly, to consider the future of the country as they are submitting their ballot. Clinton’s motto “Stronger Together” is a vision for the future that ensures everyone has an opportunity and not just a privileged few. On the eve of the election, Vice President Joe Biden returned to Florida where he spoke on the campus of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee. After being introduced by his wife, Jill, Biden spoke about the importance of voting before the end of the day tomorrow. He urged everyone to consider the future the country and the visions being outlined by Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Biden said that Clinton offers a platform that is far more optimistic and inclusive. He said that her plans are geared toward helping everyone and not just those at the top. Biden urged everyone to reject the divisive policies of Trump and vote for Clinton tomorrow. A video from the event is below.
Biden held his last solo campaign event for Clinton in St. Petersburg. During the event, Biden spoke about the vision Trump has for America and asked the audience to imagine living in that future. “We don’t have to make anything up; we just have to say what they want to push,” he said adding that it is doubtful that a Trump administration would continue Pell grants for college, repealing the Affordable Care Act would leave at least 20 million Americans without coverage, and his economic plans would ensure that those at the top prosper at the expense of the middle class. Biden then presented Clinton’s optimistic vision of the future before asking everyone to vote tomorrow. A video from the event is below.
Senator Bernie Sanders campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday. Speaking at Central High School, Sanders spoke about the future of the United States and why Clinton is the better choice for that future. He outlined a number of Clinton’s platform points such as raising the minimum wage, overturning the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling, and combating climate change. He contrasted Clinton’s plans with proposals made by Donald Trump saying there was no contest. He urged everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday saying, “What we have to talk about is that in two days, there will be the most consequential election in the modern history of the United States. And my hope is that all of you will do everything possible in the next two days — not only voting, bringing out your friends and your relatives and your co-workers — to make sure that Donald Trump is not elected president.” A video of his speech is below.
Sanders then spoke at a get out the vote rally on the campus of College of Southern Nevada’s Cheyenne Campus in Las Vegas. Sanders spoke about the progressive Democratic Party platform and Clinton’s dedication to enact campaign finance reform, reforming the criminal justice system, raising the minimum wage, and making college more affordable. Sanders has had a hand in several of Clinton’s platform points, including her college affordability plan. Sanders also criticized Trump for for his divisive comments about women, immigrants, and Muslims. He urged everyone to consider the country’s future and get out and vote on Tuesday. Tim Kaine returned to Florida on Friday where he spoke on the campus of the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne. Kaine stressed the importance of the election and encouraged everyone to get out and vote next Tuesday. He said that the race is close and that “we can’t take anything for granted.” During his speech, Kaine outlined a number of Hillary Clinton’s key platform points including her plan to make college more affordable, raise the minimum wage, and pass comprehensive immigration reform. He also attacked Donald Trump for his divisive campaign saying that America is truly stronger together. A video from the event will be added when/if available.
Meanwhile, Kaine’s wife, Anne Holton, spoke to a group of supporters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Holton spoke about Clinton’s plans to raise the minimum wage, ensure that woman receive equal pay, and expand early childhood education. She said that none of that will be possible unless everyone gets out to vote on Tuesday. Holton addressed the historic nature of electing the first woman president saying, “And we will all own a piece of it, and won’t it be fun to have Utah own a piece of it?” A video from the event will be added when/if available.
Senator Bernie Sanders campaigned for Hillary Clinton in Iowa and Nebraska on Friday. His first events were in Davenport and Iowa City. During his speech at each event, Sanders stressed the importance of electing Democrats to ensure their progressive agenda become law. He spoke about Clinton’s plans to combat climate change, invest in clean energy, address campaign finance reform, reign in income inequality, and make college more affordable for students. Clinton’s college plan was developed with Sanders and he spoke about it in detail. He urged everyone to vote for Clinton and progressive platform saying, “The importance of this [platform] document is we are not going to let it sit on a shelf. We are going to incorporate those ideas into legislation to transform America. Iowa, thank you for making that possible.” Videos from the event in Iowa City are below.
In Cedar Rapids, Sanders spoke to a crowd of supporters on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa. He spoke about a number of Clinton’s platform points and the importance of electing progressives. He urged everyone to vote next Tuesday and encouraged the students to remain active in politics after the election saying, “But then the day after the election, after Hillary wins, I want you to pledge yourself to work as hard as you can with your friends and your co-workers to make this country what you and I know that we can become. Stand up for economic justice, social justice, racial justice, environmental justice. Let’s go forward and transform America.”
Sanders’ final event of the day was a rally in Omaha, Nebraska. Sanders maintained his progressive message talking about Clinton’s progressive platform and plans to raise the minimum wage and ensure that the wealthy pay their fair share in taxes. Sanders said that electing Donald Trump would be a disaster, but he also said that the election is going to be close. “My own gut feel is it’s going to be a very, very close election,” he said. DJ Steve Aoki performed for a group of students on the campus of University of Nevada-Las Vegas on Thursday. Near the middle of the event, Aoki stopped and spoke about the importance of voting, and he was joined on stage by Bill Clinton. Bill spoke briefly spoke about the importance of electing Hillary Clinton as he explained that her campaign is about building bridges and not walls. He urged everyone to vote saying, “You are America’s future. … We are rising, and the future is bright because of you. I think you’re going to live in the most prosperous … time of discovery and advancement we’ve ever seen.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.

Hillary Clinton returned to North Carolina on Thursday where she spoke at two events. Her first event was on the campus of Pitt Community College in Winterville. Clinton spoke for over half an hour about a number of her platform points including criminal justice reform, creating new jobs, making college more affordable, and creating an economy that works for everyone and does not favor those at the top. She also went after Donald Trump for his divisive rhetoric and his comments about various groups including women, Muslims, immigrants, and African Americans. Clinton said that Trump’s comments are encouraging others adding, “He’s giving a dog whistle to his supporters. [He’s] endorsed by the official paper of the KKK.” Clinton concluded her speech by asking everyone for their vote and encouraged them to take advantage of early voting or turn out next Tuesday. Clinton then traveled to Raleigh where she was joined by Senator Bernie Sanders and singer Pharrell Williams. Williams and Sanders spoke first talking about the stakes of the election and encouraging everyone to vote. When Clinton took the stage, she spoke about a number of her platform points including her plans to create more jobs by investing in infrastructure and American manufacturing, continuing to update the health care system to ensure universal coverage, and making college more affordable for families and students.
