Hillary Clinton Wraps Up Campaign with Events in Three States

Hillary Clinton spent the final day of the campaign speaking at events in three states. She began at an event in Oakland, Pennsylvania where she outlined her vision of America and said that she wants “to be the president for all Americans, not just some.” She never mentioned Donald Trump by name, but she urged everyone to “rise above all of this hate-filled rhetoric.” She concluded her speech by asking everyone to get out and vote tomorrow adding, “I’m here to ask you to vote for yourselves, vote for your families, vote for your futures. … Because they are on the ballot.” A video from the event is below.

Clinton then traveled to Allendale, Michigan for a get out the vote rally on the campus of Grand Valley State University. Clinton focused more on her platform and the future of the country than she did her opponent. She spoke about her plans to create jobs, improve health care, make college more affordable, raise the minimum wage, and ensure equal pay for women. She said that if elected president, she will work for everyone and looks forward to working with Senators Debbie Stabenow and Bernie Sanders to pass a platform aimed at helping all Americans. In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a rally was held in front of a crowd of several thousand. The event began with musical performances by Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. Bill and Chelsea Clinton then took the stage and briefly spoke about the importance of the election. Next, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama each spoke about Clinton’s platform and how she is the only candidate to carry on the legacy of the Obama administration. When Clinton took the stage, she urged everyone to consider the future of the country saying that she is optimistic. She concluded by asking everyone to get out and vote tomorrow. Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea wrapped up the campaign at a midnight rally in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event opened with performances by Jon Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga, then Chelsea and Bill spoke. They spoke about the campaign and the importance of voting tomorrow. When Hillary took the stage, shorty before 1 am, she spoke about her optimistic vision of the future and urged everyone to vote for the future they envision for our country. “I believe it’s the most important election of our lifetime. Bon Jovi Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Charlotte

Singer Jon Bon Jovi held this third concert in support of Hillary Clinton on Sunday. At a get out the vote concert in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bon Jovi played a number of his hits, and he asked everyone to vote on Tuesday. He said, “The polls suggest that North Carolina is a toss-up state. Make sure you each and every one of your votes really matter on Tuesday.” Several others spoke throughout the event, but the crowd cheered when Bon Jovi said, “The road to the White House leads right through North Carolina!” A partial video from the event is below.

Bon Jovi Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Florida

On Saturday, Jon Bon Jovi performed at a Get Out the Vote concert in St. Petersburg, Florida. Bon Jovi performed a number of his hits in between talking about the importance of the election and encouraging everyone to vote for Hillary Clinton. He was joined on stage by Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine, who spoke to crowd. Borrowing from Bon Jovi’s song lyrics, Kaine said, “I don’t wanna be another wave in the ocean. I’m rock, not just another grain of sand. We’re not just waves in the ocean, folks. And we’re not just grains of sand. We’ve got power. We’ve got power politically and nobody more than in Florida. If you put your votes behind Hillary Clinton, it is done. She will be President.” He then played the harmonica along with Bon Jovi. A video clip from the concert is below.

Bon Jovi Performs and Get Out the Vote Concert

Last night, recording artist Jon Bon Jovi held a free “Get Out the Vote” concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on behalf of Hillary Clinton. Bon Jovi performed a number of his hits for the packed crowd. During the concert, Bill Clinton appeared and spoke briefing about the election saying, “There’s a lot at stake in this election. We’re going to decide, not between a Republican and a Democrat, but we’re going to decide what America is going to be like in the future…We’re going determine whether you prefer anger and name-calling or answers and empowerment.” Throughout the event, the audience was encouraged to vote. Hillary Clinton in Iowa and Philadelphia on Wednesday

On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton attended a Get out the Caucus event in Iowa before heading to Philadelphia. In Adel, Clinton spoke at the Adel Family Fun Center, a bowling alley whose owner, Bryce Smith, she met last year. She wanted to hold an event at the center because of what Smith has done for the community. Clinton then spoke about her plans for the economy, climate change, clean energy, and heath care. Clinton then went to Philadelphia where she met with African American ministers at Mother Bethel A.M.E. Church in Society Hill. She discussed women’s heath, equal pay, the economy, and criminal justice reform. She told them that, “I want to be your partner, not just your president.” Following the meeting, Clinton then attended a fundraiser in Philadelphia which included a performance by Jon Bon Jovi.
