Hillary Clinton Wraps Up Campaign with Events in Three States

Hillary Clinton spent the final day of the campaign speaking at events in three states. She began at an event in Oakland, Pennsylvania where she outlined her vision of America and said that she wants “to be the president for all Americans, not just some.” She never mentioned Donald Trump by name, but she urged everyone to “rise above all of this hate-filled rhetoric.” She concluded her speech by asking everyone to get out and vote tomorrow adding, “I’m here to ask you to vote for yourselves, vote for your families, vote for your futures. … Because they are on the ballot.” A video from the event is below.

Clinton then traveled to Allendale, Michigan for a get out the vote rally on the campus of Grand Valley State University. Clinton focused more on her platform and the future of the country than she did her opponent. She spoke about her plans to create jobs, improve health care, make college more affordable, raise the minimum wage, and ensure equal pay for women. She said that if elected president, she will work for everyone and looks forward to working with Senators Debbie Stabenow and Bernie Sanders to pass a platform aimed at helping all Americans. In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a rally was held in front of a crowd of several thousand. The event began with musical performances by Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. Bill and Chelsea Clinton then took the stage and briefly spoke about the importance of the election. Next, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama each spoke about Clinton’s platform and how she is the only candidate to carry on the legacy of the Obama administration. When Clinton took the stage, she urged everyone to consider the future of the country saying that she is optimistic. She concluded by asking everyone to get out and vote tomorrow. Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea wrapped up the campaign at a midnight rally in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event opened with performances by Jon Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga, then Chelsea and Bill spoke. They spoke about the campaign and the importance of voting tomorrow. When Hillary took the stage, shorty before 1 am, she spoke about her optimistic vision of the future and urged everyone to vote for the future they envision for our country. “I believe it’s the most important election of our lifetime. It’s not just my name or Donald Trump’s name on the ballot, it’s the kind of country you want,” she said. A video from the event is below.

Bill Clinton returned to North Carolina on Monday on the final day before Tuesday’s election. In his last solo event of the election cycle, Bill encouraged everyone to get out and vote for Hillary Clinton tomorrow and send a message that Donald Trump’s vision for America is unacceptable. “North Carolina, you’ve got a lot on the line. You’ve got a chance to send a message to America and to your fellow citizens that yes, we are stronger together, yes, love does trump hate, and yes, we are a state of empowerment, not resentment,” he told the crowd. Bill Clinton Campaigns for Hillary in Lansing

Bill Clinton returned to Michigan on Sunday where he began the day by speaking during Sunday morning church services at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and Grace Emmanuel in Flint. During the service, Bill spoke about Hillary Clinton’s dedication to helping the middle class and her respect for the diversity of America. He asked everyone to vote so their voice his heard adding, “We have to decide if we’re stronger together or if it’s better to spend all of our time tearing each other down.”

Bill then spoke at a get out the vote rally in Lansing. At a local union hall, Clinton spoke about the importance of the election and stressed Hillary’s platform points such as her plans to create jobs, grow the economy, and support labor unions. He said that Hillary is the only candidate qualified to ensure that the progress the country has made continues. “There’s a lot of road rage out there because after the financial crisis, it took a long time before incomes started going up again. We are finally seeing incomes start to rise,” he said. He urged everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday and to vote for a future of unity and progress. Bill Clinton Embarks on Campaign Bus Tour in North Carolina

Bill Clinton went on a campaign bus tour of Florida today where he began in Jacksonville and ended in Gainesville. He made a number of stops along the way outside voting locations and in local businesses. The goal of the trip was to speak with and meet as many voters as possible and share Hillary Clinton’s vision for America. At various events, Bill was joined by other Democrats such as Reverend Jesse Jackson and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley. Bill Clinton Campaigns for Hillary in Colorado

Bill Clinton campaigned for Hillary Clinton today in Colorado. At his first event, Bill spoke to a group of supporters at Union Depot in Pueblo. He outlined key points of Hillary’s platform including her plans to create jobs and build and economy that works for everyone. Throughout his speech, Bill referred to Donald Trump, but never mentioned him by name. He criticized his temperament and lack of experience. He concluded the event by asking everyone to vote for Clinton on Tuesday saying, “If the people vote, she’ll win. I believe she’ll be the first woman president but even those things are not as important as what it will mean for you.”

He then spoke at the EXDO Event Center in Denver where he covered a number of the same topics as in Pueblo including her plans to make college more affordable and pass comprehensive immigration reform. The focus of Bill’s speech was about the type of America we want to build for future generations. Do we want a president who looks to the past or one who plans for the future. “This is a change election — I do agree with her opponent on that. The question is: Are you going to change forward, to build on what we are doing right?  … Or are you going to change backward and go back to trickle down economics on steroids?,” he said. He concluded by asking everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday.

At his final stop of the day in Fort Collins, Bill focused on unity and how Hillary’s plans ensure that Americans are united in enjoying the prosperity offered in the United States. Unlike her opponent who is focused on dividing people to gain votes, Bill argued that Hillary aims to create a stronger and more united country. He urged everyone to vote for Hillary on Tuesday saying, “We’re the longest-lasting democracy in human history and that’s for a reason: We keep making progress toward our more perfect union.” Videos from today’s events will be added when/if available.

Steve Aoki Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Las Vegas

DJ Steve Aoki performed for a group of students on the campus of University of Nevada-Las Vegas on Thursday. Near the middle of the event, Aoki stopped and spoke about the importance of voting, and he was joined on stage by Bill Clinton. Bill spoke briefly spoke about the importance of electing Hillary Clinton as he explained that her campaign is about building bridges and not walls. He urged everyone to vote saying, “You are America’s future. … We are rising, and the future is bright because of you. Bill Clinton Campaigns for Hillary in Iowa

Bill Clinton returned to Iowa on Wednesday where he spoke at two events. The first was in Sioux City where he spoke about all the negativity in the campaign cycle. “I hate all this poison that’s in this election. All this utter meanness, it’s unlimited. ” Instead of focusing on the negative, Bill spoke about Hillary Clinton’s optimistic view of America and how she plans to create jobs, grow the economy, and raise the minimum wage. He concluded by asking everyone to vote so their voice is heard. “Tell people they need to be a part of this. Yes, it’s important to have the first woman president and it’s important that the first woman president will be the best qualified person to run, but it’s more important to listen to what those children are saying…It’s just up to us,” he said.

Bill’s final event of the day was in Waterloo. During the event, Bill asked the crowd if they wanted the country to progress or go backward. When the crowd responded that they wanted progress, Bill spoke about a number of Hillary’s plans that are aimed at doing just that. He was optimistic as he spoke about his wife’s plan to create new jobs, create an economy that works for everyone, and build the middle class. Bill attacked Trump’s negative campaign saying, “Hillary says, ‘OK, your frustration and your anger is legitimate, but you need empowerment not resentment.’ And he says, ‘Oh no you don’t. Bill Clinton Encourages Early Voting in Florida

Bill Clinton returned to Florida on Tuesday where he campaigned for Hillary Clinton at three events. His first event was in Florida City where he told a crowd of supporters that Hillary Clinton is, by far, the best candidate for president and that countless military and national security experts agree. “They know what the real security issue is. The real security issue is having somebody who will keep you safe and strong while we can grow our way together,” he said. Bill focused on Hillary’s plans to ensure that Americans are able to prosper together, and he outlined her plans to create jobs, grow the economy, and make college more affordable. Bill then traveled to Immokalee where he was greeted by supporters. Bill is the first former president to every visit the town. He spoke about the stark differences between Hillary and her opponent, Republican Donald Trump, saying that her plans focus on everyday people, and not those at the top. Bill touted Hillary’s plans to ensure college is affordable for everyone, improve the Affordable Care Act, and create jobs by investing in infrastructure, manufacturing, and clean energy. Again, Bill concluded stressing the importance of voting saying, “The most important thing you can do is to vote and take your friends to vote. Do it today tomorrow and every day through Election Day. If enough people who are for Hillary turn out, she’ll win Florida, and she’ll be the next president.” A video from the event is below.

Bill’s final stop of the day was in St. Petersburg where he focused on Hillary’s platform points and the divisive nature of Trump’s campaign. Bill outlined a number of Hillary’s key policies including her plans to create jobs and ensure an equal opportunity for every American to succeed. He then contrasted that vision with Trump’s saying that the racist undertones of Trump’s campaign are becoming more obvious. “As a 70-year-old Southerner, I know what will make America great again,” Clinton said implying that Trump will make it difficult for anyone who is not white. Bill Clinton Encourages Ohio Voters

Bill Clinton campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Ohio today with his first event being in Cleveland. He spoke about a variety of Hillary’s platform plans including her proposals to boost manufacturing, invest in infrastructure improvements, and make college more affordable. Bill also contrasted the tone of Hillary’s campaign from that of Republican Donald Trump’s saying, “Her theme is ‘Stronger Together’ and her opponent’s theme is ‘No we’re not.'” He attacked Trump for his negative, “us vs. them” message adding, “I spent a lot of my childhood in an us-versus-them environment. It doesn’t work.” He concluded the event by urging Ohioans to get out and vote.

In Columbus, Bill spoke to a predominantly African American audience about the dangers of Trump and how is “Make American Great Again” theme is a reference to a different time in America. Bill said, “When our opponent says, ‘make America great again,’ hey, I’m a 70-year-old white southerner, I know what that means. Fifty years ago, it wasn’t so great for African-Americans or Hispanic-Americans or first-generation immigrants or women in the workplace. Children with disabilities couldn’t go to school. Nobody saw their abilities. Gay people were confined to a closet.” Bill spoke about Hillary’s plans to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity in America and urged everyone to take advantage of Ohio’s early voting.

Bill’s final event of the day was in Cincinnati where he continued to tout his wife’s plans to create jobs and build on the economic progress of the last eight years. He urged everyone to vote on election day or to take advantage of early voting. Bill also asked everyone to make sure their friends and family members vote saying, “I want to ask you to do two things: Vote today. Vote tomorrow. Vote every day if you haven’t voted. I don’t mean more than one time – don’t do that. Concentrate on getting people who are for Hillary to go vote. Bill Clinton Stresses Early Voting in Pennsylvania

Bill Clinton returned to Pennsylvania where he spoke at a series of event focused on early voting. At his first stop in Aliquippa, he spoke about a number of Hillary Clinton’s platform points including her plans to grow the economy and create new jobs. Bill spoke about a number of ways Hillary would create jobs including investing in infrastructure, focusing on growth in the manufacturing sector, and investing in clean energy. He admitted that there have been parts of the country left behind, and Hillary will focus on ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity. Bill then traveled to Duncansville where he continued to speak his wife’s blueprint for America and how her vision is starkly different from that of Republican Donald Trump’s. He spoke about a number of Hillary’s primary areas of focus including health care, making college affordable, and investing in rural communities. “Of all the federal development money for economics, should be devoted exclusively to small towns, rural areas, from Coal Country, to Indian Country to places in rural Pennsylvania, rural Arkansas, where nothing good has happened in a long time,” he said.
