Vice President Joe Biden campaigned for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine on the campus of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. During his speech, Biden outlined a number of Clinton’s platform points and how they will help everyone and not just those at the top. Biden also spoke about his personal friendship with Clinton saying that she has known her for more than three decades. He said, “She gets it guys. I want people to know the Hillary I know.” Biden spoke about Clinton’s dedication to the middle class and ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity in America. Vice President Biden Campaigns in New Hampshire

In Nashua, New Hampshire, Vice President Joe Biden spoke to supporters about electing Democrats to office up and down the ballot on November 8th. While he was in the state to campaign for Hillary Clinton, he also appeared with Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Democratic Senate candidate Maggie Hassan. Biden spoke about the importance of voting in the election on November 8th and blasted Donald Trump for his refusal to say he’d accept the outcome of the election. Biden said, “No democratic process can be sustained without a sense of trust. He’s questioning not the legitimacy of our elections, (but) the legitimacy of our democracy.” Biden also criticized Trump for his comments about the military and women saying that Trump does not represent American values. Vice President Biden Campaigns for Hillary in Pennsylvania

On Friday, Vice President Joe Biden returned to the campaign trail where he spoke to a crowd of supporters in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Speaking to students at Bucks County Community College, he spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and electing Hillary Clinton president instead of Republican Donald Trump. “I know some of you, and some of the people you’re trying to convince, aren’t crazy about Hillary, I know that. I think she’s gotten an unfair deal,” he said. Biden spoke about a number of Clinton’s platform proposals, including plans to reduce student loan interest rates and reducing the cost of higher education for future students. Biden also urged those who have not registered to vote to do so before Pennsylvania’s deadline on October 11, then he urged them to vote on November 8th. “Don’t wake up on November 9th and find we’ve lost Pennsylvania by 2,000 votes,” he said. Vice President Biden Campaigns for Clinton in Florida

Vice President Joe Biden returned to the campaign trail on Monday where he campaigned in support of Hillary Clinton in Florida. His first event was in Orlando where he spoke about Clinton and her plans to grow the economy and work with our foreign allies. He contrasted her style with Donald Trump’s calling Trump “dangerously uninformed.” He said that a number of foreign leaders are worried about the direction of the United States if Trump is elected, and Biden warned that everyone should because his presidency could have long reaching effects. He encouraged everyone to vote in November and register before the deadlines saying, “Bust your necks, folks, getting your friends to register to vote. It does matter. Biden then traveled to Sarasota where he spoke to supporters at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex. During his speech, Biden spoke about similar topics as he did in Orlando focusing on Clinton’s platform plans and proposals that would create jobs and ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity. Hillary for America Canvasses the Country on National Voter Registration Day

September 27, 2016 is National Voter Registration Day and Hillary for America canvassed the country holding nearly 1,400 voter registration drives to ensure that Americans were registered to vote before their states’ deadlines. HFA released the following information outlining what they did today.

Following last night’s debate, Hillary Clinton, Tim Kaine and high profile surrogates are back on the campaign trail today, marking National Voter Registration Day by barnstorming battleground states to raise awareness of voter registration deadlines and to discuss the high stakes of the November election. With important voter registration deadlines coming up soon, Hillary for America is capitalizing on today’s national day of action by organizing nearly 1,400 local voter registration events in communities across the country.

Every election, millions of Americans don’t get to cast their ballot because they missed their state’s registration deadline or didn’t know how to register. Hillary for America will build off the excitement from the debate to talk about importance of registering to vote ahead of registration deadlines by holding local voter registration events across the country.

VP Biden Campaigns for Hillary in Philadelphia

Vice President Joe Biden campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine today in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Biden spoke about a number of Clinton’s platform points, but he spent a good amount of his time attacking Donald Trump. Following last night’s debate, Biden said that it was obvious Trump was in over his head. He criticized Trump for practically confirming that he paid no taxes. Trump said that made him “smart.” Biden said it makes him mad. “Tell that to your mothers and fathers who are breaking their neck to send you here, they’re paying taxes … It angers me, it angers me,” he said. He also attacked Trump for saying that the 2008 housing crash was “good business.” Biden asked, “What in the hell is he talking about?” Biden also spoke about the importance of voting urging everyone to register and vote on November 8. Vice President Biden Campaigns for Clinton/Kaine in Ohio

On Thursday, Vice President spoke at two campaign events in Ohio in support of Hillary Clinton. At the first event in Warren, Biden spoke to a crowd of supporters at the United Auto Workers Local 1714 hall. Biden, like Clinton, included local references in his speech. He spoke about the importance of the automakers in Ohio and their successful turnaround following the recession in 2008 and 2009. He then spoke about a number of topics including Clinton’s record as a public servant and her dedication to the country, her plans for the economy and building jobs, and his ties to Ohio. Biden then went after Donald Trump for being ignorant of foreign affairs saying, “He is totally, thoroughly, completely uninformed.” A video from the event is below.

Biden then spoke at a rally outside of Cleveland in Parma. During his speech, the Vice President continued to go after Trump, but he focused more of his time on Clinton’s experience and his middle class roots. He told stories about his father’s job and his family’s money problems saying that his father couldn’t qualify for a loan to help him pay for college. When it comes to the struggles of the middle class, Biden said, “Hillary gets it, man. Trump has no idea. He has no idea.” A video from the event is below.

Hillary Clinton Statement on the Cancer Moonshot Initiative

In light of today’s campaign event in Pennsylvania with Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton released a statement affirming her support of the Cancer Moonshot Initiative. The initiative began following President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address earlier this year. President Obama vowed to increase funding for cancer research and placed Biden in charge of the project. The overall goal is to create partnerships between public and private researchers and trials to find a cure for cancer. The matter is personal for Biden as he lost his son, Beau, to cancer last year. Today, Clinton vowed to continue the initiative as president and would continue to rely on Biden as it presses forward. A copy of Clinton’s statement is below.

“When Vice President Biden lost his beloved son, Beau, to cancer, he found strength in his sorrow. He resolved to do everything he could to ease others’ suffering and prevent other families from going through what he had.

Since the launch of the Cancer Moonshot initiative, Vice President Biden has spurred unprecedented cooperation between federal agencies and leaders in the private and nonprofit sectors. Together, they are creating new protocols to promote the sharing of research data, pushing for more enrollment in clinical trials, and providing new tools for patients. And all of this effort is taking advantage of the incredible strides we have made in recent years to grapple with this disease. We know more than we ever have about the biology of cancer, how to prevent it, and how to treat it. We need to do more to build on these developments, advance our understanding, and develop more effective treatments. Simply put, if we make the right investments today, we can save lives.

To start, Congress should fulfill the administration’s request for moonshot funding next year. Cancer does not discriminate, and I believe leaders of both parties can come together to tackle this disease as part of a comprehensive effort to improve medical research across diseases, both by restoring robust funding to the National Institutes of Health, including the National Cancer Institute, and by harnessing the power of the private sector. Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden hit the campaign trail together today for the first time this year. Speaking to a crowd in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Clinton began be talking about her commitment to jobs and her commitment to health care. Specifically, she vowed to continue the Cancer Moonshot program, an initiative led by by Vice President Biden. When Biden spoke, he painted Donald Trump as unfit to lead the country while describing Clinton as a champion of the people. He said, “What Hillary is all about is making sure that every one of you can look your child, your grandchild, in the eye and say, ‘It’s going to be okay.’ Think how many people don’t think they can say that anymore.” The rally lasted about an hour, and a video from the event is below.

Democratic National Convention Lineup Announced

We are a little over a week away from the 2016 Democratic National Convention. The convention will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Wells Fargo Center. The event will be held July 25 – 28 and will include delegates from all 50 states, Washington, DC, and U.S. territories. The main purpose of the convention is the formal nomination of the Democratic Party’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates. The Democratic Party has announced the lineup for each day of the convention and the details are below:

Monday (7/25): United Together

Featuring First Lady Michelle Obama, Senator Bernie Sanders and DREAMer Astrid Silva
