HFA Releases Series of Ads as Election Nears

On Tuesday, Hillary for America released a series of ads targeting Donald Trump a week before the election on November 8th. The first three ads feature Republicans and one former Trump supporter who have vowed to support Hillary Clinton in light of Trump’s comments about women. The final video highlights a number of comment Trump has made about women over the decades. Next is a video titled “27 million Strong” about how the Latino immigrants in the United States can send Trump a message on election day. The ad is being released in both English and Spanish. Then, the Briefing has a video called “The Trump Effect” which looks at how Trump’s divisive statements affect Americans. Then, an ad that encourages African American voters to get out and reject Trump’s divisive platform. Next is an ad titled “We are America” and outlines the dangers a Trump presidency would present to the American democracy. Then, the next video features Katy Perry’s song Roar and outlines a number of reasons to vote for Clinton. The next video imagines what life in America will be like after a year of a Trump presidency. The final ad is a radio ad talking about Trump’s history of demeaning African Americans. Bill Clinton Continue Bus Tour Campaign in Florida

On Saturday, Bill Clinton continued his bus tour in Florida with his first event in Panama City. During his speech, Bill spoke about Hillary Clinton’s plans and optimism for the America’s future. Bill said that while Republican Donald Trump seems to be wanting to return America to the past, Hillary has a plan to ensure that America continues to grow into the future. A plan that involves investment in the United States’ infrastructure, economy, and the American people. He said that the difference between the two campaigns is attitude…one is positive and optimistic while the other is negative, but it will be important for both sides to come together following the election. “I want you to show one difference between our campaign and the other campaign. I don’t think they like us very much, but I want you to go to them and say, ‘We want you to be part of America’s future, too. We need you.’” Watch a video of Bill’s speech below.

Bill then traveled to Pensacola where he continued his focus on Hillary’s optimistic blueprint for America, one that invests in America’s future and not just those at the top. Bill said that Hillary has a plan to create new jobs and ensure that the middle class has an opportunity to grow. He wrapped up his speech by asking for everyone to vote on November 8th and to vote for Hillary. A video from the event will be added when/if available.

Bill Clinton Campaigns in New Mexico, California

On Thursday, Bill Clinton campaigned on behalf of Hillary in two states. He began in New Mexico where he spoke at a Get Out the Vote event at Picacho Middle School in Las Cruces. During his speech, Bill spoke about the importance of the 2016 election and a number of Hillary’s platform points. He stressed the importance of continuing the economic growth and said that includes making the economy work for everyone and not just those at the top. Bill spoke about a number of other platform topics including refinancing student debt, expanding health care coverage, and creating new jobs. A video from the event will be posted when/if available.

Bill then traveled to California where he spoke at a rally in Redding. During the event at Shasta College, Bill spoke about voter anger and how he understood the attitude toward the current political environment. But he said that Republican nominee Donald Trump is not the answer. He spoke about Hillary’s experience and her platform points and why she is the better choice for the country moving forward. He said the way America moves forward is by working together and realizing we get more accomplished that way. Bill said, “You gotta believe in a tomorrow economy and you gotta believe in cooperation, not conflict, and you can’t turn people away at the door because you don’t like their religion or their race or their whatever.” He concluded by asking for voters’ support in next week’s primary. Meanwhile, a number of Hillary supporters attended fundraisers on behalf of Hillary for America. In New York City, Chelsea Clinton attended a fundraising event at One Kings Lane. In St. Helena, California, Senior Policy Advisor Ann O’Leary attended a fundraiser hosted by Congressman Mike and Jan Thompson and Progressive Women of Napa Valley. Tennis champion Billie Jean King hosted a Discussion on Breaking Down Barriers in Paris, France. The event was for American citizens and was hosted by Forrest Alogna, Pamela Boulet, Belinda De Gaudemar, Hedieh Khakbaz Loubier, Marina Niforos, Elizabeth Pierson Sainty, Joe Smallhoover, Valerie Picard, Mindy Prugnaud, and Lawrence Yanovitch.
