Chelsea Clinton and Others Host Hillary for America Fundraisers

On Thursday, Chelsea Clinton was in New York City for a breakfast fundraiser hosted by Liz Robbins and Tim Gunn. Meanwhile, Hillary for America began a series of policy based fundraisers with the first two in the series being held yesterday. In Chicago, the policy based fundraiser was hosed by Anna Valencia and Jon Samuels. Hillary for America’s Senior Policy Advisor Maya Harris was the guest speaker. In the evening, an event was held in Washington, DC featuring Hillary for America General Counsel Marc Elias. As with all private events, the fundraisers were closed to the press.

Bill Clinton Campaigns in Iowa

With just five days remaining before the Iowa caucuses, Bill Clinton was in Iowa campaigning for Hillary. During an event in Mason City, Bill spoke about Hillary’s experience and how she is the most experienced candidate in the race. He said that there are three questions on which a public figure should be judged: are people better off because of what they’ve done?; have they improved the outlook for future generations?; and have things come together because of their leadership? He said that for Hillary, the answer is “yes” on all three.

He also spoke about her plans for the economy and raising the minimum wage. He called Hillary a problem solver, and urged voters to caucus for her on Monday. He said, “You’ll never have another opportunity to vote for someone who has done so much for so many in and out of public office.” A video from yesterday’s event will be posted when/if available.

Chelsea Clinton was fundraising in New York City for Hillary on Wednesday. The first event was held at SoulCycle TriBeCa where a “Ride with Chelsea” event was held. Her second event was a LGBT reception that also featured Hillary for America Campaign Manager Robby Mook and tennis champion Billie Jean King.

Billie Jean King, Others Campaign for Hillary

On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton remained in Iowa, but she had help on the campaign trail. Tennis champion and feminist icon Billie Jean King appeared at events in Ames, Des Moines, and Iowa City. At each of her stops, she spoke about Hillary’s experience and why she is supporting her as, not only the Democratic party nominee, but the next President of the United States.

Bill and Chelsea Clinton each attended a fundraiser in California. Bill attended a fundraiser in San Francisco. Chelsea attended a fundraiser in Venice hosted by Scott Mayers. As with all private events, the fundraisers were closed to the public.

Democrats Across the Country Campaign for Hillary

On Monday, while Hillary Clinton was in Iowa, a number of high profile Democrats and celebrities attended a number events in support of Hillary for America. Actress Jamie Lee Curtis has been visiting with voters and volunteers in Iowa for the last few days, holding events in Council Bluffs, Ames, and Newton. Curtis has been a long time support of Hillary and talked about her experience and readiness to lead.

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro attended two events yesterday on behalf of Hillary and Hillary for America. The first was a fundraiser hosted by Tony Buxton, Bonnie Porta, and Karen Harris in Portland, Maine. The second event was a gathering at the Puerto Vallarta Mexican Grill in Manchester, New Hampshire. Meanwhile in New Jersey, Senator Cory Booker and Victor Herlinsky hosted a fundraiser in Newark.

Bill and Chelsea were also on the campaign trail yesterday, attending events in California. Bill was scheduled to attend events in Hillsborough and San Francisco. Chelsea attended two fundraisers, with the first being hosted at the Newport Coast home of Michael and Sholeh Chegini. The second fundraiser was held at the Los Angeles office of Frank Gehry.

Bill and Chelsea Clinton Continue Campaign Appearances

On Wednesday and Thursday, Bill and Chelsea Clinton continued to campaign on behalf of Hillary Clinton. Wednesday, Bill was in New Hampshire for two events. The first was a gathering with volunteers in Salem. His second event of the day was in Concord where he spoke at a rally. He asked those in attendance at both events to support Hillary in the tight race between her and Bernie Sanders. Bill touted Hillary’s experience and the fact that she is a “change maker.” He admitted that he always knew she would have a tough time in New Hampshire saying, “We’re fighting it out in Iowa. We’ve got a little lead that I think is solidifying and maybe growing a little bit. We’re on a home-field disadvantage here. But the real issue is, who can win the election, who’s prepared the do the job, who can make real change?” A video from the Salem event is below.

Today, both Bill and Chelsea were scheduled to attend fundraisers. Bill was in Denver, Colorado for a fundraiser at the home of Cindy and Steve Farber. Chelsea, meanwhile, attended a fundraiser in support of the Clinton Foundation Haiti Relief Fund at the TriBeCA SoulCycle studio. The proceeds from that event were not for Hillary for America.

Clintons Attend Fundraisers in Four States

On Tuesday, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton hit the fundraising trail where they attended separate events in four different state. Hillary began with an event home of Amy and Philip Blumenthal in Charlotte, North Carolina. She then attended a fundraiser at the New Orleans home of Frances and Calvin Fayard. She wrapped up the day attending a fundraiser at the Children’s Museum of Houston in Texas.

Chelsea, meanwhile, was in New York City for two events. The first was an afternoon tea hosted by Susan York. Chelsea and Anna Wintour, editor of American Vogue, both attended the event. Chelsea’s second event was a fundraising reception. As with all private fundraisers, the events were closed to the press.

Clinton Hosts Town Hall in Toledo, Iowa

On Monday evening, Hillary Clinton held a town hall event in Toledo, Iowa where she laid out her platform should she win the presidency and how she plans to work with Republicans in Congress. She then took question from the crowd about a variety of topics including her plans to build upon the Affordable Care Act and her view of Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump. Clinton then asked everyone to support her in the February 1st Iowa caucus saying, “You will be caucusing for the person you think can do all aspects of the job. This is no opportunity for the new president to say ‘come back to me later with that crisis.'” A video from yesterday’s event will be posted when/if available.

Chelsea Clinton also attended a fundraiser in New York City on Monday evening. During the fundraiser, musical group Well-Strung performed their song “Chelsea’s Mom“, which is a parody of Fountains of Wayne’s “Stacy’s Mom” in support of Clinton.

Today, Chelsea Clinton was in Chicago where she attended three fundraisers on behalf of Hillary for America. The first event was hosted by Kevin Conlon at Conlon & Dunn Public Strategies. The second Chicago event was hosted by Trisha Rooney, Molly Mahoney, and M.K. Pritzker. The final event this evening was at Studio Paris Chicago.

Robby Mook, Hillary for America campaign manager, also made his first stop on the campaign trail, attending a fundraiser in Miami, Florida. As with all private events, the fundraisers were closed to the press.

Today, both Hillary and Chelsea Clinton attended fundraisers. Hillary was in New York City to attend a fundraiser hosted by David Lichtenstein. Chelsea, meanwhile, was in Atlanta, Georgia where she attended two fundraisers. The first was a Women for Hillary event, and the second was hosted by Mayor Kasim Reed. All three events were closed to the press.

Chelsea Clinton Campaigns for Hillary in New Hampshire

On Tuesday, Chelsea Clinton hit the campaign trail on behalf of her mother, Hillary Clinton, and Hillary for America. In New Hampshire, she hosted events in Concord, Manchester, and Portsmouth. Each of the events were smaller in size and were conversational. She focused on Hillary’s plans to provide early childhood education, lower the cost of higher education, and improve upon the Affordable Care Act. Chelsea took the opportunity to criticize her mother’s chief rival, Bernie Sanders, for his plans to dismantle the current heath care system. She said, “I never thought that I would be arguing about the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare in the Democratic primary. Senator Sanders wants to dismantle Obamacare, dismantle the CHIP program, dismantle Medicare and private insurance.” A video from Chelsea’s events will be posted when/if available.

Today, Bill Clinton also attended a fundraiser hosted by Oni Chukwu in Black Rock, Connecticut. He was also scheduled to appear at a fundraiser reception hosted by John and Lisa Levy Goldberg in New York City. All three Clintons have been on the campaign trail, and have focuses on the early primary states, particularly New Hampshire and Iowa. Both states have primaries in early February.
