Senator Sanders Campaigns for Hillary in the West

Senator Bernie Sanders campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday. Speaking at Central High School, Sanders spoke about the future of the United States and why Clinton is the better choice for that future. He outlined a number of Clinton’s platform points such as raising the minimum wage, overturning the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling, and combating climate change. He contrasted Clinton’s plans with proposals made by Donald Trump saying there was no contest. He urged everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday saying, “What we have to talk about is that in two days, there will be the most consequential election in the modern history of the United States. And my hope is that all of you will do everything possible in the next two days — not only voting, bringing out your friends and your relatives and your co-workers — to make sure that Donald Trump is not elected president.” A video of his speech is below.

Sanders then spoke at a get out the vote rally on the campus of College of Southern Nevada’s Cheyenne Campus in Las Vegas. Sanders spoke about the progressive Democratic Party platform and Clinton’s dedication to enact campaign finance reform, reforming the criminal justice system, raising the minimum wage, and making college more affordable. Sanders has had a hand in several of Clinton’s platform points, including her college affordability plan. Sanders also criticized Trump for for his divisive comments about women, immigrants, and Muslims. He urged everyone to consider the country’s future and get out and vote on Tuesday. Tim Kaine Rallies Voters in Wisconsin

Tim Kaine spoke at three get out the vote events today in Wisconsin. At his first event in Milwaukee, he told the audience that he and Hillary Clinton are excited with only a few days left in the campaign, and they are both determined to win. He called it “an excitement to embrace an agenda that`s a stronger together agenda, and reject an agenda that is a divisive, name calling, blame game, take us backward agenda — and so we`re seeing it pick up in such a great way.” Kaine said that it is important that everyone get out and vote so their voice is heard given the stakes in this election. He concluded by asking everyone not to take a lead in the polls to mean anything, and that everyone’s vote is important. News coverage of Kaine’s Milwaukee visit is below.

Kaine then traveled to Green Bay where he spoke about Clinton’s optimistic platform, and he outlined her plans to create jobs, make college more affordable, raise the minimum wage, and focus on the middle class by building an economy that works for everyone. Kaine stressed the importance of defeating Donald Trump and electing a candidate with the experience and a comprehensive platform like Clinton. Kaine’s final event was a get out the vote event in La Crosse. Kaine spoke to a crowd of supporters after they watch today’s Green Bay Packers football game. At a rally held in Osceola County Stadium, Obama spoke about the importance of the election and ensuring that Clinton is elected president on Tuesday. Obama said that Clinton is the only candidate that will ensure the progress the country has made will continue, and he criticized Donald Trump’s dangerous rhetoric. Bill Clinton returned to Michigan on Sunday where he began the day by speaking during Sunday morning church services at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and Grace Emmanuel in Flint. During the service, Bill spoke about Hillary Clinton’s dedication to helping the middle class and her respect for the diversity of America. He asked everyone to vote so their voice his heard adding, “We have to decide if we’re stronger together or if it’s better to spend all of our time tearing each other down.”

Bill then spoke at a get out the vote rally in Lansing. At a local union hall, Clinton spoke about the importance of the election and stressed Hillary’s platform points such as her plans to create jobs, grow the economy, and support labor unions. He said that Hillary is the only candidate qualified to ensure that the progress the country has made continues. “There’s a lot of road rage out there because after the financial crisis, it took a long time before incomes started going up again. We are finally seeing incomes start to rise,” he said. He urged everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday and to vote for a future of unity and progress. Pop star Katy Perry performed at a Get Out the Vote concert in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before Perry took the stage, a number of speakers addressed the crowd including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, actress Debra Messing, and Senator Cory Booker. Hillary Clinton then took the stage and spoke about the stakes in this election and urged everyone to vote. She said, “More than 37 1⁄2 million people in our country have already voted. Now why are they out there voting? Because I believe they are standing up for a hopeful inclusive vision of America. I’m asking you to stand up for that same vision when you come out to vote on November 8.” Perry then performed a number of her songs for the crowd of supporters. Bon Jovi Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Florida

On Saturday, Jon Bon Jovi performed at a Get Out the Vote concert in St. Petersburg, Florida. Bon Jovi performed a number of his hits in between talking about the importance of the election and encouraging everyone to vote for Hillary Clinton. He was joined on stage by Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine, who spoke to crowd. Borrowing from Bon Jovi’s song lyrics, Kaine said, “I don’t wanna be another wave in the ocean. I’m rock, not just another grain of sand. We’re not just waves in the ocean, folks. And we’re not just grains of sand. We’ve got power. We’ve got power politically and nobody more than in Florida. If you put your votes behind Hillary Clinton, it is done. She will be President.” He then played the harmonica along with Bon Jovi. A video clip from the concert is below.

Bill Clinton Embarks on Campaign Bus Tour in North Carolina

Bill Clinton went on a campaign bus tour of Florida today where he began in Jacksonville and ended in Gainesville. He made a number of stops along the way outside voting locations and in local businesses. The goal of the trip was to speak with and meet as many voters as possible and share Hillary Clinton’s vision for America. At various events, Bill was joined by other Democrats such as Reverend Jesse Jackson and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley. Kaine Encourages Voters in Florida

Tim Kaine returned to Florida on Saturday where he spoke about the importance of the election and Florida’s role on Tuesday. He urged everyone to vote because he wants Hillary Clinton to win Florida. Speaking on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Kaine outlined a number of Clinton’s key platform plans including raising the minimum wage, creating new jobs by investing in infrastructure and American manufacturing, and making college more affordable. Kaine concluded by asking everyone to vote adding, “This is my ninth race. I’m 8 and 0, and I’m not planning on losing Tuesday. Kaine then spoke at a get out the vote event in Sarasota where he focused on the importance of early voting and defeating Donald Trump. He spoke about the dangers of the vision painted by Trump and offered Clinton’s platform as an optimistic alternative. Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Their first event was in West Mifflin where they spoke at a gathering of members of the local United Steelworkers association. Biden spoke about the importance of electing Clinton because of her support for labor unions and American families. He said that since this election is going to be close, it is important that everybody gets out and votes on Tuesday.
