Katy Perry Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Philadelphia

Pop star Katy Perry performed at a Get Out the Vote concert in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before Perry took the stage, a number of speakers addressed the crowd including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, actress Debra Messing, and Senator Cory Booker. Hillary Clinton then took the stage and spoke about the stakes in this election and urged everyone to vote. She said, “More than 37 1⁄2 million people in our country have already voted. Now why are they out there voting? Because I believe they are standing up for a hopeful inclusive vision of America. I’m asking you to stand up for that same vision when you come out to vote on November 8.” Perry then performed a number of her songs for the crowd of supporters. Bon Jovi Performs at Get Out the Vote Concert in Florida

On Saturday, Jon Bon Jovi performed at a Get Out the Vote concert in St. Petersburg, Florida. Bon Jovi performed a number of his hits in between talking about the importance of the election and encouraging everyone to vote for Hillary Clinton. He was joined on stage by Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine, who spoke to crowd. Borrowing from Bon Jovi’s song lyrics, Kaine said, “I don’t wanna be another wave in the ocean. I’m rock, not just another grain of sand. We’re not just waves in the ocean, folks. And we’re not just grains of sand. We’ve got power. We’ve got power politically and nobody more than in Florida. If you put your votes behind Hillary Clinton, it is done. She will be President.” He then played the harmonica along with Bon Jovi. A video clip from the concert is below.

Bill Clinton Embarks on Campaign Bus Tour in North Carolina

Bill Clinton went on a campaign bus tour of Florida today where he began in Jacksonville and ended in Gainesville. He made a number of stops along the way outside voting locations and in local businesses. The goal of the trip was to speak with and meet as many voters as possible and share Hillary Clinton’s vision for America. At various events, Bill was joined by other Democrats such as Reverend Jesse Jackson and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley. Bill urged everyone to take advantage of early voting and to ensure that they cast their ballot for Hillary. Videos from today’s events will be added when/if available.

Hillary Clinton Campaigns in Pembroke Pines

Hillary Clinton returned to Florida on Saturday where she spoke at a rally in Pembroke Pines. Clinton took the stage and was about five minutes into her speech when it began to rain. She quickly wrapped up her speech asking everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday saying, “I want to be the president for everybody. Kaine Encourages Voters in Florida

Tim Kaine returned to Florida on Saturday where he spoke about the importance of the election and Florida’s role on Tuesday. He urged everyone to vote because he wants Hillary Clinton to win Florida. Speaking on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Kaine outlined a number of Clinton’s key platform plans including raising the minimum wage, creating new jobs by investing in infrastructure and American manufacturing, and making college more affordable. Kaine concluded by asking everyone to vote adding, “This is my ninth race. I’m 8 and 0, and I’m not planning on losing Tuesday. Here’s what I tell myself in every race I every run: I’m the underdog until they call me the winner.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.

Kaine then spoke at a get out the vote event in Sarasota where he focused on the importance of early voting and defeating Donald Trump. He spoke about the dangers of the vision painted by Trump and offered Clinton’s platform as an optimistic alternative. Kaine said that Clinton has worked her entire life for families and children, and she will not stop once elected. He concluded the event by urging everyone to vote on Tuesday or to take advantage of early voting. “I’m going to just get to the punchline: If you win it in Florida, it’s won,” he said. Vice President Biden Rallies Voters in Pennsylvania

Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Their first event was in West Mifflin where they spoke at a gathering of members of the local United Steelworkers association. Biden spoke about the importance of electing Clinton because of her support for labor unions and American families. He said that since this election is going to be close, it is important that everybody gets out and votes on Tuesday. He said, “If we win Pennsylvania, we win this election.” A video from the event is below.

The Bidens then traveled to Bristol where he spoke about the importance of the election and ensuring that Clinton is elected president and that down ballot Democrats are also elected to office. Biden spoke about a number of Clinton’s platform points including her plan to create jobs by investing in infrastructure and American manufacturing, two things he said would greatly benefit Pennsylvanians. Senator Sanders Campaigns for Hillary in Iowa, Colorado

Senator Bernie Sanders remained in Iowa this morning for a Get out the Vote rally in Ames. During his speech, Sanders spoke about the importance of electing Hillary Clinton saying, “Hillary Clinton has a very different perspective [and] she understands what Donald Trump does not understand.” He outlined a number of Clinton’s platform points including her plans to combat climate change, reform campaign finance, create jobs, raise the minimum wage, and make college more affordable. Sanders concluded by asking everyone to vote saying that the election is too important to sit out. “You don’t like Hillary Clinton? You Don’t like Donald Trump? Fine. You like yourself? Get beyond personality; that means taking a hard look at what the candidates stand for,” Sanders said. A video from the event is below.

Sanders then spoke at a Get out the Vote event in Colorado Springs. Sanders spoke about a number of the progressive points from Clinton’s platform including her proposals to raise the minimum wage, combat climate change, fix the Affordable Care Act, and make college at public institutions tuition free for students making less than $125,000 per year. He urged everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday and to encourage others to vote as well. “If you take two or three of your friends to the polls, you double or triple your impact,” he said. Chelsea Clinton Encourages Voters in North Carolina

On Saturday, Chelsea Clinton campaigned for Hillary Clinton in North Carolina where she traveled across the state. At events in Elizabeth City, Charlotte, and Asheville, Chelsea spoke about her mother’s platform and her plans to ensure equal pay for women, create new jobs, and create an economy that works for everyone. She concluded each event by asking everyone to get out and vote for Hillary and make sure their voice is heard. “Every vote really matters. Lots of people haven’t voted yet. HFA Releases Mini-Documentary

On Saturday, Hillary for America released a mini-documentary titled “The Story of Us.” The eight minute video chronicles Hillary Clinton’s campaign for the presidency, a story that began on April 12, 2015. Hillary Clinton on Space and STEM

While a lot has been published about Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s platform plans for foreign and domestic policies, most outlets have ignored thier stance on science, STEM, and space exploration. Clinton has outlined proposals to combat climate change and increase research for certain diseases, but a number of prominent science and space publications have asked the candidates for their thoughts on science and space exploration. If you consider STEM education, science, and space exploration to be important factors in your decision for whom to vote, which you should, check out the publications below for a better understanding of the positions of Clinton and Trump.

• The Planetary Society – The Planetary Society is a non-profit group that specializes in space policy. They help fund missions and inform members of Congress on issues related to space. The group has assembled the key positions on space offered by Clinton and Trump.
