On Sunday, Senator Elizabeth Warren campaigned on behalf of Hillary Clinton in Cleveland, Ohio. Speaking at Cleveland State University, she was joined by former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland and actor John Lithgow. Senator Warren spoke about Clinton’s major platform points, especially those related to higher education. She also went after Donald Trump saying, “Trump has led the charge on the “birther” movement and only when his handlers tied him down and made him did he finally admit that it wasn’t true. What kind of a man does that? A man with a dark and ugly soul. A man that will never be president.” A video from the event will be added when/if available.

A fundraiser was also held in Sydney, Australia today on behalf of Hillary for America. The event was only open to American Citizens and featured a conversation with Jeffrey L. Bleich, United States Ambassador to Australia.

Hillary Clinton Statement on Apparent Terrorist Attacks

Following a series of apparent terrorist attacks in Minnesota, New Jersey, and New York yesterday, Hillary Clinton released the following statement:

“I strongly condemn the apparent terrorist attacks in Minnesota, New Jersey, and New York. I pray for all of those who were wounded, and for their families. Once again, we saw the bravery of our first responders who run toward danger to help others. Their quick actions saved lives. Law enforcement officials are working to identify who was behind the attacks in New York and New Jersey and we should give them the support they need to finish the job and bring those responsible to justice – we will not rest until that happens. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack in Minnesota, and this should steel our resolve to protect our country and defeat ISIS and other terrorist groups. I have laid out a comprehensive plan to do that. This includes launching an intelligence surge to help identify and thwart attacks before they can be carried out, and to spot lone wolf attackers. We also need to work with Silicon Valley to counter propaganda and recruitment efforts online. Americans have faced threats before, and our resilience in the face of them only makes us stronger. I am confident we will once again choose resolve over fear.”

Clinton Addresses Congressional Black Caucus Foundation

90

On Saturday evening, Hillary Clinton spoke at the annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation gala in Washington, DC. During her speech, Clinton vowed to work for everyone and ensure that the progress stated by President Barack Obama continues. She then ripped Donald Trump for his “dangerous and divisive vision” for the United States. She said that she is the best candidate for the presidency because she has real plans to continue growth for everyone. Clinton said, “We need ideas not insults, real plans to help struggling Americans in communities that have been left out and left behind, not prejudice and paranoia. We can’t let Barack Obama’s legacy fall into the hands of someone who doesn’t understand that, whose dangerous and divisive vision for our country will drag us backwards.” A video of Clinton’s speech is below.
