On Tuesday evening, Hillary Clinton was interviewed on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront. During her interview with Alisyn Camerota, Camerota and Clinton discussed Clinton’s campaign, the Iowa caucus, and the tightening race between her and Democratic rival Bernie Sanders. While in Iowa Monday, Hillary Clinton sat down with the editorial board of The Des Moines Register for an interview. During the hour long interview, Clinton was asked about her campaign, her Republican and Democratic primary opponents, and various points about her platform. She even criticized President Barack Obama for his unwillingness to work with Congress, and vowed that if elected, she would be more open to work with Congressional Republicans and Democrats. On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton gave a campaign speech on the campus of University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. During her speech, Clinton covered a number of topics from her platform, but she took the opportunity to criticize her primary opponent, Bernie Sanders. She criticize him for his plans to raise taxes across the board, his record on gun control, and his plans for health care. On the upcoming primary, Clinton said, “You are owed a spirited debate over what our differences are, because we have substantive differences and it’s important that you know before you caucus on Feb. 1 what those might be.” A video of her full speech is below.
This evening, Clinton was scheduled to attend a fundraiser in Detroit, Michigan. Singer Michael Bolton is scheduled to perform at the event.

On Tuesday, Chelsea Clinton hit the campaign trail on behalf of her mother, Hillary Clinton, and Hillary for America. In New Hampshire, she hosted events in Concord, Manchester, and Portsmouth. Each of the events were smaller in size and were conversational. She focused on Hillary’s plans to provide early childhood education, lower the cost of higher education, and improve upon the Affordable Care Act. Chelsea took the opportunity to criticize her mother’s chief rival, Bernie Sanders, for his plans to dismantle the current heath care system. She said, “I never thought that I would be arguing about the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare in the Democratic primary. Senator Sanders wants to dismantle Obamacare, dismantle the CHIP program, dismantle Medicare and private insurance.” A video from Chelsea’s events will be posted when/if available.
Today, Bill Clinton also attended a fundraiser hosted by Oni Chukwu in Black Rock, Connecticut. He was also scheduled to appear at a fundraiser reception hosted by John and Lisa Levy Goldberg in New York City. All three Clintons have been on the campaign trail, and have focuses on the early primary states, particularly New Hampshire and Iowa. Both states have primaries in early February.

On Monday night, Hillary Clinton attended the Iowa Brown & Black Presidential Forum on the campus of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Clinton was interviewed third following her Democratic primary rivals, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley. The forum was hosted by Fusion and moderated by Fusion anchors Jorge Ramos and Alicia Menendez, Fusion contributor Akilah Hughes, and New York Magazine Writer-at-Large Robert Browne. The forum focused on issues related to minority issues, specifically issues related to the African-American and Latino communities.
Clinton was asked a wide variety of questions, but one topic that was of focus was immigration. She said that she had no plans to continue President Barack Obama’s deportations, and Clinton spoke out against the move by the Obama administration. She said, “I do not think the raids are an appropriate tool to enforce the immigration laws. They are divisive, they are sowing fear.” She was also asked whether she saw a contradiction in her plans to reform immigration, but toughen borders at the same time. She replied, “I don’t see a contradiction there.”
She was also asked about her plans for fighting domestic terrorism and gun violence. Clinton has unveiled a comprehensive plan to reign in gun violence, and she said that “we have to come together as a country and take a stand against violence.” Another topic covered was a woman’s right to choose. When Clinton was asked if she would support efforts to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which bans federal funding for abortion, Clinton swiftly replied “Yes.” She continued, “To me, reproductive rights are a fundamental human right.”
