Clinton voiced her support of Braley and denounced his opponent, Joni Ernst, for refusing interviews in her home state. Clinton said, “It truly seems like it should be disqualifying in Iowa, of all states, to avoid answering questions.”

Hillary Rodham Clinton appeared at a Charlotte rally for Senator Kay Hagan who is in danger of losing her seat. Clinton stuck with a women’s issue theme for her speech, something she has used throughout the mid-term campaign, saying, “You have to ask yourself,” Clinton said. “Is it pro-family? Is it pro-North Carolina to say that equal pay for women is just a campaign gimmick? When I heard that I thought I’d misheard it. … This is not just a women’s issue. This is a family issue. A fairness issue. An economic issue.”

Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke at a rally for Maine Gubernatorial Candidate Mike Michaud. Clinton blamed current Governor Paul LePage for the “mess” in which Maine currently finds itself. She said, “You don’t need a lot of yelling, you don’t need to insult people. You need to bring them together and listen to each other. That’s Mike’s way.”
