Pritzker moderated the event and a number of topics were covered. Clinton discussed congressional politics, early childhood education, and Clinton’s family. Originally from the Chicago area, Clinton recalled memories from her childhood and the struggles of her parents.

AdvaMed 2014 Conference

hillarymarylee_webHillary Rodham Clinton was the keynote speaker at the AdvaMed 2014 Conference luncheon in Chicago. Speaking the to the group of medical professionals, Clinton answered a number of questions related to Obamacare (aka: The Affordable Care Act). The group’s chief concern is the medical device tax enforced by the healthcare law. Clinton did not seem supportive of the tax saying, “I don’t know what the right answer about the tax is, but I think we could, taking a look at everything and not standing there with out arms folding staring at each other across the partisan divide, begin to sort it out.” This is no the first time Clinton has question parts of the law and she has hinted that she is open to possible updates the law in the future.

Campaign for Governor Pat Quinn (IL)

The two visited with students and shared a Starbucks Coffee. Clinton urged the students to vote and let their voices be heard in the upcoming mid-term elections.

Canada 2020 Conference

Hillary Clinton Attends Annual Tom Harkin Steak Fry In IowaHillary Rodham Clinton appeared at a conference sponsored by the think tank Canada 2020. The focus of her speech was largely on foreign issues, particularly the terrorist groups Boko Haram and ISIL. Clinton expressed her concern over ISIL and its growing influence saying, “I think the evidence is convincing, at least to me, that this is a group that will try to pick up where Al Qaeda in Afghanistan left off. What we were able to do, at great cost, to ferret out and decapitate the leadership of Al Qaeda, severely undermined their capacity as an organization.” Clinton expressed her support for military action to stop the group from expanding its territory and spreading its tactics.

Hillary Rodham Clinton Speaks At CREW Network ConventionHillary Rodham Clinton spoke to a group of women at the 25th annual Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) convention at the Loews Hotel in Miami Beach. She praised the work of the organization to help women progress in the field of real estate. Clinton said, “It’s the right model for men and women in any enterprise. Providing women in commercial real estate with mentorship opportunities is not only great for you, but it demonstrates what must be the model for cooperation between businesses.” CREW has more than 9,000 in 90 cities nationwide.

Campaign Fundraiser for Charlie Crist (FL)

The fundraiser was closed to the press, but reports indicated the Clinton touted redemption, as Crist was a Republican before he switched parties.
